Granger Hotel Review | Hotels Above Par

"A casual, convivial place to grab a craft brew and a classic burger with a playful edge—visitors often pair their meal with an offbeat treat like a caviar bump—ideal for relaxed evenings and straightforward pub-style fare."

Neighborhood House has been such a miracle for me and my family. Since attending our son has learned not only academically but socially as well. I searched for several different daycare options for my son and none have stood close to the care and environment of NH. It allows me to work without worrying about my child’s wellbeing. Whenever we get him from NH he is always engaged in play or learning. All of his teachers and staff are responsive, caring, and available for any concerns I may have. It is touching to hear all the different members of staff talk to our son by name. The small close knit environment is one of the things I love about NH. Our whole family loves going to their family nights and experiencing the different activities and resources they provide. I will always recommend NH to anyone who is looking for childcare!

This is a great resource for families and their children. They offer pre-K school, after school care, and summer school services. The administration staff are accessible, responsive, and helpful. I had one issue with a teacher but that was it. My son liked it for the most part. I highly recommend you check them out to see if what they offer fits your needs.

My niece goes here. The one time I picked her up it was the saddest experience. There was so little support for the teachers who needed help. I even felt the need to ask my nieces teacher if she needed something but she told me she was okay and that she’d just call on the walkie which I waited and no one responded. Management should be better to these workers.

A wonderful space with such great staff, management and volunteers that tend to the elderly. Such fun activities planned out on a weekly basis, light snacks and lunch and A LOT of love and patience!

We have been coming to NH for years. Kelly, Jacob, all of the staff are amazing. They are very flexible and understanding. I also enjoy the level of involvement for activities for kids, they don't just sit around there are lots of activities planned through the day. It is also very convenient that they pick up from school. We absolutely have loved NH for many years now!

My son loves neighborhood house. He loves his teachers and his friends. I have to agree, The staff is amazing. They honestly care about each child and their families. They go above and beyond to help those struggling and in need. Their programs helps so many famies. They have helped so much during covid to make sure that they stayed open for the children to be able to come and still have that piece of normal in their lives still. The teachers stepped it up and started teaching the children their school work. Which was a huge help to the parents. So that we could still work and keep food on our tables. I want to thank all of you all from the bottom of my hearts. We are happy to be apart of the neighborhood house family!!! Thanks for all u do!!! Keep up the good work. The Alexander's

I will never forget how nice the people at Neighborhood House were to my dad. My dad went there during the day for probably a year before he passed and absolutely loved it! It's such a great place for the elderly to make friends and do fun activities and get fed good meals. I will never forget how much you helped my dad. Everyone should donate to this place!

Yelp
Update to this review. Still keeping the single star. I was called and asked to provide an update to this review. The center did reach out to us in attempts to come a solution that we could both agree on. However at this time we are okay with not accepting that solution and would prefer to seek assistance else where for our child. I will not remove by initial review as it states a true experience to the center I have gone through and that defeats the purpose of posting consumer reviews. Per my initial complaint, it's never okay for a center to tape a child's shoes onto their feet for any reason, its also not okay to shove children onto other centers due to the lack of training or staff. Taping a child's shoes to their feet is considered a form of child abuse and should be considered a serous issue, not something to be swept under the rug or not given priority attention. Be honest with parents if your staff are not fully qualified to handle children that challenge them. Or get the staff trained so you do not need to own up to that fact. It's also not okay to have dual enrollment to handle issues with a child that your staff cannot handle. Any positive effect another center may have will likely be undone due to the lack of consistency, hopefully not but its more then likely the case. Unfortunately untrained staff are creatures of habit and despite instruction from another center, they would likely do what they have been comfortable doing which would cause further confusion to the child. I'm not willing to risk my child's advancement on 'chance'. They did offer me assurance that the actions taken will be heavily reviewed and documented to ensure other children do not have the same experience or poor handling. So on that front they indicate they will do better moving forward. I will call the executive director at some point to further discuss the experience per the note left as a comment to the review.

Yelp
I absolutely loved Neighborhood House when my now 24 & 23 year old kids attended. I also attended from 3-6 years of age back in the 70s! Being a single working mother, this was a place I felt very comfortable with the staff and students of this school. Times were tough, and the donations that were made to help families came at the right time! As school was starting, they took the students shopping for new back packs, school supplies and uniforms. This helped me out tremendously and we were all so thankful! At Christmas, they even took the children to shop with a cop and Jazz Bear and we had the best Christmas ever! At one point in time, I was behind on my payments. It was impossible for me to catch up. I was $600 in arrears. I did not even know how I could even come up with that kind of money. If I didn't pay, then my children would not be able to attend any longer. I was lost and all I could do was pray. Later that week, I got a call from the director who called to say that an anonymous donor had came into the facility and wanted to help any working parent who was down on their luck. They happened to pay off my balance!!! I was so blessed and thankful for this person and always wished I could have thanked them myself! I have such gratitude that I made sure to pay it forward later in years when I became financially stable. If it wasn't for Neighborhood House, I would have never been able to work to support my family and have a career today. Thank you very much!!!
