I've walked by Neighborly many times but never went in, until the recent Small Business Saturday and the upcoming Christmas holiday enticed me to enter. I found a variety of unique items, in a wide price range, that I think would appeal to anyone who enjoys beautiful, unique items.
I can hardly list everything I found in this small space --- kudos to the store staff, who somehow manage to keep everything displayed beautifully and organized so well that, even on a busy day, there is still enough space to linger and examine every item. There was jewelry and candles and pottery and all sorts of things. I don't know for sure, but I believe most everything sold here comes from local sources. There's no problem with the supply chain here, friends! You can enjoy the browsing experience in person and be rewarded with something special.
If you prefer the ordinary and boring, Neighborly may not be for you. It's not a chain store that brings in junk made abroad. It's much, much better than that.
I bought two small trays featuring an image of Mr. Rogers that read, "I like you just the way you are." I can't wait to give that to my dear friends. It's a little, useful thing that, I hope, will remind them, every time they see that tray, how much I care. You won't find anything like that at Wal-Mart.
Spend your gift budget at Neighborly. You'll be glad you did.
