Where to Eat, Stay, and Play in Belfast, Northern Ireland

"Alternatively, Neighbourhood Café on Donegall Street is housed in a stunning room with exposed brick, blonde wood, and industrial-style lighting—all in all, the space manages to ride that fine line of being both airy and cozy at the same time. Brunch dishes include classics like French toast and scrambled eggs."

Such an amazing brunch place. Coming from Manchester, a city full of brunch places, I didn’t expect loads from Neighbourhood Cafe but it knocks them all out the park. The food is of such a high quality and for really reasonable prices. We went two days on the trot because we had to try other things from the menu. The service is lovely and the vibes are really nice; I’d fully recommend.

When we went around 2 PM, there was a queue at the entrance, but it moved quickly. I ordered the mushroom toast and the beans toast with every bite I kept thinking “wow, I wonder what’s in this,” they were that intriguing. If you happen to be in the belfast, it’s a lovely cafe for breakfast or for coffee and dessert.

We were recommended to try Neighbourhood on a recent trip to Belfast. There was a bit of a queue and we were wondering was it going to be worth the wait! Well, it absolutely was! We all adored our brunch choices, the Neighbourhood bagel, Eggs Benny and scrambled eggs. The side of whipped avocado was the most delicious thing ever, as was the hash brown. Great coffees and cake to go! Friendly staff, great ambiance, clean and bright decor! We will definitely be back when we are next in the city.

I like the minimalistic style, and service. The food portions are large, and presentation, gorgeous. Food was tasty but I don't understand the peanuts in the scrambled eggs, I had to pick them out and they were a lot, huh! Coffee was ok, wasn't the best I've had. Oh, got there early so was able to get a table, but when we were leaving there were very long queues of people waiting to go inside.

What a lovely cafe! Quick friendly service from everyone I dealt with - everyone was smiling, clearly enjoying where they work. Food was excellent and delivered quickly. Coffee was flawless - I think I managed to try everything over two days - split shots, batch, pour overs, and a heavenly coconut co-ferment split shot. Everything was delicious. I’ll be back!

We came here for breakfast and it did not disappoint. The coffee was delicious and so was the food. I had scrambled egg with peanut rahu and a side of hash brown. So delicious 😋 There was Q but we didnt mind waiting. We ordered at the till and the service was fast.

Visited here for brunch after reading great reviews. It is very clean and very popular (queues out the door when we left). That being said it is minimalist decor and the flavour of the peppermint hot chocolate was disappointing- but the fruit toast redeemed it all 😋

Really enjoyed our visit to Neighbourhood Café! The vibe is stylish and relaxed, great natural light, minimalist decor, and a nice buzz without feeling too hectic. The drinks were top-notch, smooth and well-balanced. We had the iced vanilla matcha and the rhubarb soda, both super refreshing. For food, we ordered the scrambled eggs, rich, flavourful, and beautifully presented. The French toast was also a highlight: sweet and smooth but not overly so. We shared a vegan hash brown as well, which was insanely good. Overall, a brilliant brunch spot in Belfast. Would definitely come back!
