Lisbon Was Just Named the Best Culinary City Destination in Europe — Here Are Must-eat Places, According to a Local

"Just across the street from Rhodo (and with a second location in Graca), you'll find Neighbourhood, which offers a full list of breakfast treats. However, the star of the show here is the breakfast burrito. Get it packed with meat, veggies, kimchi, or go vegan. No matter which you choose, you won't be wrong." - Stacey Leasca Stacey Leasca Stacey Leasca is an award-winning journalist and co-founder of Be a Travel Writer, an online course for the next generation of travel journalists. My favorite spot to come by with my pup on my days off. I always go for the breakfast burritos because it’s a classic. However, today i decided to try something new, the Turkish eggs. I was NOT disappointed definitely missed out on the opportunity to add chorizo to my dish though. Good thing there’s always a next time 🥹 Overall, very flavorful! The chia mango pudding is delicious made with coconut milk. It’s not overly sweet which is my favorite part about it. The team is very friendly and a fantastic addition to the atmosphere. The playlist is great I heard some throwbacks I forgot even existed! I ordered a cappuccino with oat and then again, a mocha with oat! CHEF’S KISS! Also, took a meaty burrito home (I couldn’t resist it! it has me in a chokehold! 🫡🫰🏼) the only reason why I put 25-30€ per person is because I like to treat myself. You can obviously spend less than that, without a doubt.

I absolutely love Neighbourhood, excellent coffee, delicious food and very nice and friendly staff. For English speakers, the staff is incredibly fluent and friendly. They also play awesome music, mainly American hip hop, I want their playlist

I’m not gonna lie when I say this, this was the best breakfast I had in the world so far! I came back from a run and knowing little Portuguese I just ordered by looking at the display/menu. I was pleasantly surprised! The hosts are baristas very hospitable and the food quite literally the BEST! Must try for a brunch or early breakfast!

We decided to check out this popular brunch cafe on our last day in Portugal, out of every restaurant we’ve been to on our trip this one was definitely the worst by far. The yogurt in the yogurt bowl was room temperature/almost warm. The granola was nothing special, there wasn’t enough agave, and there was barely any fruit on the bowl aside from bananas which did not pair well with the lukewarm yogurt. The Turkish eggs were okay, but lacked seasoning. The chili oil had no flavour and there was very little tomatoes in the dish. My favourite part was the dill seasoning. The bread was also not bad. I would recommend checking out other brunch spots in the area :)

Neighbourhood is a great brunch spot, we had avocado and egg on toast alongside a cheese and ham toastie which both tasted great! The atmosphere was very busy, but we managed to get a table quite quickly. It was conveniently located next to the local market which made it a better place to grab some brunch.

There are better brunch places. Ordered turkish eggs and yogurt granola bowl. Both pretty flavourless — eggs had chili oil but there was no flavour or spice, and the yogurt was warm with only a few berries. This street is also so noisy so if you’re looking for a relaxing brunch spot, this isn’t it. Don’t come unless it’s simply more convenient for you; you’re better off eating something else elsewhere.

Extremely friendly staff with some of the best food. Everything was delicious and came hot and fresh. They also speak perfect English as well. Would highly recommend!
