Neighbourhood Wine

We really enjoyed the food overall and ordered a few different dishes to share. We started with the sashimi it was nice, though it could have used a bit more flavour. The sourdough bread was very fresh, with just a few slightly burnt bits on the side. The steak was cooked perfectly and the sides were excellent. A heads up that one of the mustards is quite spicy. The carrots were full of flavour, but the standout for us was the potato and sauce the flavours worked so well together. Highly recommend giving that a try. The staff were very accommodating, taking great care with my dietary requirements.

Such a fun, gorgeously decked out spot. And of course the one thing I don’t have a picture of was the thing I loved the most (and devoured instantly) was the opal wagyu on a buckwheat cracker. I could have 10 of those! The menu is rotating so I’m not sure what else I could suggest, but the sticky date pudding was like a cross between banana bread and sticky date and it is something I can absolutely get around Already recommended it to friends who loved it too

An amazing restaurant I will be returning to. The atmosphere and interior fit out is amazing and the staff give attentive and friendly service. You must order the steak, it comes with a seasonal butter, fresh, verdant and pairs well with the soft, perfectly cooked steak. Another highlight was definitely the crudo, coming with a delectable sauce and you must finish with the sticky date. Incredible wine selection!

Excellent customer service; food & wine exceptional. Everything we ate was a 10/10 and so was the service. This is our second time here and I have already told my family that your restaurant is a “must visit”.

Great hearty wine snacks, more suitable to go as a pair or as a group since drinking wine alone on a Tuesday is not really a fun activity. Almay Jordan’s cooking reminds me of granny in every Western stories, making cakes and pies, hot food and wine, hearty and kind.

11/7/25 - 3 stars A hole in the wall wine bar with a very cosy but lively atmosphere. Liked the wooden decor, open kitchen and big fireplace. Staff were helpful and wine selection was extensive to say the least. Unfortunately, service was quite slow and took about 2hrs to get everything sorted. It was quite busy though. At $95pp for 3 entrees, a shared steak and a dessert, it's not too bad, but, was a little underwhelming. Entrees were quite good in terms of flavour and presentation, but, fairly small. The premium shared steak was nice, but, not outstanding. The small skirt steak ($36) was also just okay.

One of my favourite bars, which I visit frequently. The food is done well, with plenty to choose from, and the wine list is perfection. The costs are premium, but you get what you pay for! Love it, and recommend it for a date night, or friends catch up.

The coziest restaurant with the best food I’ve had for this price range! I love that they change their menu seasonally and the servers are so helpful with recommendations. Can’t wait to dine here again!
