Delicious food and very friendly staff who can offer fantastic recommendations. A special place that deserves much more recognition!!

Great experience with nice staff and high quality food plus amazing view and decoration inside. The only weakness was the air ventilation system inside the restaurant which made it hard to breath and after leaving you smell like oven!

When I die, I believe in heaven they will serve food from Nejen Bistro. Honestly, food experience, service all on top. I had several dishes and each one was special in it's own way. Wine service was also on a top level. Waiter helped us choose the right wine to our dishes therefore the combination food&wine was exceptional. Not my first time here and surely not last. Rating 11/10 👏

I randomly selected this restaurant and came here with a friend I made on a walking tour in Prague. We walked in and immediately loved the decor and the cleanliness. We checked out the menu, but the kitchen didn't open till 5 so we had some drinks first for about 40 minutes. The staff were very friendly checking on us throughout and when the kitchen opened I ordered the rabbit confit and my mate got the chicken wrapped in parma ham. I have to say this was the best meal we had ever had! Would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Prague!

An hour lunch turned into two at Nejen Bistro. Four of us popped in around 14.00 on a July Saturday to enjoy a quality glass of white Czech wine. We then started to order food and stayed for lunch. The food is unique and beautifully prepared. The fermented vegetable cream was unique. It’s soup and worth trying if you’ve never had it. My roasted cauliflower was delicious and very purple.

We stumble into Nejen Bistro, as originally restaurant, that i wanted to go, was fully booked, BUT i am so happy that original restaurant was fully booked, as this place was superb, food, service, atmosphere. As starter, we ordered the lamb dish and a 280gram steak (yes, a steak, there were 3 of us, and they made it very clear that the meat was worth it) to share. For main, we shared again pork ribs, the fish, and the rooster. The rooster wasn't my thing, as I thought it was pieces of meat instead of shredded meat, but fish and pork ribs were delicious. We had only little space for the coconut creme brulee to share, which was so goood.

I had been eagerly following this restaurant's Instagram for quite some time, being drawn in by their captivating dish presentations, innovative ingredient experiments and fermentation. When I finally had the chance to visit Prague, I decided to have dinner here. Regrettably, my experience fell short of my expectations. The restaurant's delightful interior made for a pleasant ambiance, and the attentive waiter provided excellent service. However, the food failed to impress. The beef heart tartare starter was decent, but the main course, pulled turkey, left me utterly disappointed. Serving the salad and turkey on different halves of a bun seemed illogical. The overwhelming saltiness of the meat overshadowed any other possible flavors, leaving me unsatisfied with the overall taste. I was so disappointed that I didn't even take a photo of the dish. Considering the price, the dish was far from being worth it. The restaurant's prices, in general, are on the higher side, which made me expect something more extraordinary. In conclusion, while the restaurant showcased great potential through social media, my personal dining experience left much to be desired.

I always find it a pity that this type of restaurant would not accomodate any allergies. Ended up eating kimchi and fries which were clearly overpriced (100czk for a micro portion of kimchi). I also don’t like when restaurants make you pay for water… here it was 65czk!! Not speaking about having to pay 65czk for ketchup 😅

I am visiting from the United States and I loved every single bite of every meal I ate here at Nejen Bistro. The pork ribs are outstanding and all of the beer is crisp to the taste. The desserts are very tasty as well and offer different tastes to the palette. I highly recommend this restaurant if you are an out of town visitor and our waiter, Jan, was so helpful and always checked in with us to see how we were doing. He was so great! Go give this lovely restaurant a try if you are in Prague :)

I absolutely love this place and everything about it. The modern stylish design, their fresh and interesting menu, nice wine selection and very friendly atmosphere. The Karlín area in general is becoming very trendy and there have been recently amazing bistros popping up and this one is definitely one of them. It's a must visit if you are in the area!

Dont even bother to come. They took 2 hours to bring the food. I went to another restaurant to get food and came back but food still wasn't ready.

Terrible. We were told we could sit outside. Then the waiter told us we couldn't sit outside. Then after sitting down inside we were told the kitchen was "out of food." The experience was terribly frustrating. The fight might be good but I will not be going back to find out.

Super good food, great atmosphere! We came across this wonderful place with the idea of getting away from the crowded tourist places. They have an open kitchen, which we found quite nice! The staff was super friendly, speaking good English. The only thing missing was cocktails, so we just grabbed some dinner. P.S. I highly recommend the grapefruit lemonade!!

Really worth it. I was pleasantly surprised inventive menu. Great food and wonderful presentation. Would definitely recommend.

A new face in the Karlin food crowd. Great interior, great service. The food was expertly prepared, meat cooked to a perfect mid-rare and nicely seasoned. We had a starter of lox in blinis with lime creme freche, then flank steak with super yummy parmesian rice and perfect green beans, and an oyster blade (butler's cut in the UK, flat iron in the US) with outstanding grilled veggies and potato puree - though they could have removed the membrane. Great beer (although 0.4l) and refreshing orange lemonade. It is not a BBQ place, more of a modern grill place with good beer and a decent wine selection. We will come back.

We were recommended this place by another restaurant where we were eating lunch. It was one of the finest meals I have eaten this year. Extremely friendly staff and menus in English. The wood burning oven was a the work horse of the kitchen. I can not saw enough good things about this talented chef and his team. .

The food and homemade lemonades were good - there is no doubt about that and the decor is minimalistic and done in good taste. My only problem with Nejen Bistro and the fact I couldn't give it 5 stars is that they are willing to charge a party of 4 (each ordering appetisers and main courses) for tap water - I find that very irritating and also not very business savvy. Staff could also be a bit friendlier.

Located in nice quiet part of Prague. Open airy interiors, noise level conducive to conversion. Has English menu. Clientele on the youngish professional side. Very helpful staff. Delicious food!
