We showed up on in the harbour unannounced on S/V Hi5, and was greeted by the owners who came out and moved a boat to make room for us on the dock well before I got close enough to ask.
The owners are absolutely wonderful people, and the facilities, nearby businesses, and locals (I mean you, Gar), made this the best stop since we started our season sailing the maritimes a month ago. They have outdoor games, lots of nice comfortable places to sit, fire pits, an outdoor kitchen area, and plenty of e-bikes for rent. Great WiFi!
At the time of writing, they are just finishing up the construction of an oyster bar, which is looking great!
I can't wait to come back and visit, either by land or sea. Many thanks.
For boaters: Nice docks with very reasonable rates, and excellent weather protection from all directions. My 18' beam was no problem at all. The electrical service on the docks is all new, with many 15A circuits, and at least one 30A on the transient dock. Approach from the water is well marked, and I would say that if you are coming in by boat at dead low tide, a six foot draft is about the limit, with around 8' at the dock. The whole way in seems to be a sand bottom, so you don't need to worry too much. Watch the tide timing when coming in or going out, as the current runs a solid 2+ knots until you get closer to the harbour, where it is is less than 1 knot at the docks. Highly recommended.
