This place was absolutely amazing. Antigua is a beautiful island. We spent 7 days here and had so many adventures. The sailing was great, snorkeling was phenomenal, and the people were kind and helpful. We have already booked a return trip! Nelson’s Dockyard has a lot to offer in the way of tourism. So much to see and do. Make sure to visit Shirley Heights and the Blockhouse when you are on this side of the island!

Beautiful. Amazing culture to be found and we found wonderful restaurants, Pillars and Boom Hotel. This place was amazing even in the quiet season. I dont think we'd have got a seat in high season so we were very lucky to go at the time we did

It is $15 US to enter. However, this grants you access to four places in the area which is worth it (15 minute movie on the history of Antigua, Shirley Heights). The Dockyard has a museum and it looked like a restaurant that was empty when I visited. Not much boats were there at the time. Parking is available.

A definite to visit whilst in Antigua - completely restored world heritage site with good facilities, restaurants and stalls. $15 US entry fee per person.

I could so easily live here. It's a beautiful place and interesting too. Small museum. Gorgeous scenery and a very nice, historic little bakery.

The entrance fee $15 US per person covers not only this area but the entrance to Shirley hights museum and overlook if you do it on the same day. It's nice to wonder around but it's pretty commercialized

Bought US$15 ticket for Nelson’s Dockyard, Dows Hill Interpretation Center & Shirley Heights reggae & steel band. Dockyard is interesting being from Hampshire UK we have visited Portsmouth naval dockyard many times, but didn’t know Nelson’s Antiguan experiences. Recommended.

Rather steep 15 USD entry fee but the interesting museum and fully restored buildings that now house shops, restaurants and offices have a certain charm if not much authenticity. The entry also covers Shirley Heights and the interpretive center so be sure to visit there too. Then there are all the luxury yachts moored there to remind you of just how rich a handful of people can be. Conspicuous consumption indeed.
