My wife and I visited NENI for an early lunch on arrival in Berlin for a long weekend. We did struggle a bit to find the entrance to the restaurant but once we tracked it down we were very impressed by the stylish and cool vibe of the place. We were given a table despite being 30 mins early for our booking and had a beautiful view out of the huge windows across the Tiergarten and the Berlin Zoo. Our server advised us to try some of the meze dishes and helped with the sizes and amounts. We wanted a light lunch and the advice was spot on. We really enjoyed the quality of the food, the pitta bread was amazing and the tacos were incredible. I had a lovely beer as well and the whole experience was the perfect start to our 4 days in Berlin!

Google
Beautiful restaurant with nice views towards the zoo on the left side and the city on the other. Food is more specific, with lots of spicies and ingredients we didn't know, so not for everyone. I liked the fried aubergine, but it was covered in a weird strong sauce and too much tahini for my taste. Most probably it's not bad, it may be a matter of taste. Felt a bit scammed by the waiter, as I ordered a bottle of still water for 2 people. He said a bottle of still water costs 7 EUR, while "flat water" costs 4,5 EUR. So we ordered the cheaper one, but then got charged double, 9 EUR in total for tap water, which is really pitifully.. Definitely overpriced place. Disliked the experience.

Dined here on a Sunday evening. Unfortunately the weather wasn't great so we were confined to the indoors, but we still enjoyed the view from our table. Our waiter was so kind and knowledgeable - I think his name may have been Robert, but I could be wrong! The food was incredible! The taste of the curry mango hummus will stay with me forever. The tacos were also incredible. My only criticism was that I think that the small plates menu should say more clearly how many pieces you get per portion. Now we want Neni to come to the UK! Also, a note about the location - the restaurant is attached to the 25hours hotel, which is where we set our Uber location for drop off. There's an elevator that takes you to the restaurant (and Monkey Bar) from ground level.

The food was very good. Great service. Food fresh and came quickly. If recommend drinks at The Monkey Bar beforehand. I would definitely go back to this restaurant.

Google
Such a great experience, from amazing food to amazing service and an unforgettable view!!! Be ready for a flavour explosion. We were 3 people and shared 3 starters, 2 mains and the dessert platter. An fancier option do eat in Berlin but so worth it and still casual ;)

Google
The food was absolutely amazing—every bite was full of flavor and perfection. The ambience, especially in the Tarish Garden, was beautiful and serene. Only one thing was missing: a touch of music in the garden area to complete the vibe. Hospitality was outstanding, and Mr. Koppany truly made our visit unforgettable. His warm and professional service set a high standard. We can’t wait to come back and enjoy it all over again!

Google
Overall a bad choice and experience. We were there to celebrate Mother’s Day! We received no welcome appetizer like all the tables around us, also we seemed to have no waiter since no one was tending on us. Then someone finally came to our table and took our order for drinks and food and 25 min later everything arrived at the same time! Including the appetizer we order to enjoy before our main dishes. Everything was cold! The quality of the food was mediocre, the chicken was dry and was not worth it. They also brought our drinks after the food! Then we never had a waiter again until it was time to pay. This place has just downgraded its quality and I would not recommend it.

Google
In one week visited Neni Vienna and Neni Berlin. Despite of popularity of these places, they have one of the worst service I faced. The food and view are good, but waiters - you need to wait 20 min for the menu, and in Neni Berlin they brought us a second course plates and didn’t pick up the first course plates (dirty!), so I just put the dirty plates to another empty table by myself (!). So, the place and concept are good, but because of service - no wish to visit it again.

Yelp
Well positioned beautiful restaurant at the top of 25 hours hotel, modern, airy, access to rooftop, and a direct view into the zoo: one wonders who watches whom. Friendly staff. Most importantly, the breakfast buffet is wonderful and a wonderful start into the day.

Yelp
One of our absolute favorites in Berlin!! great for brunch, dinner.., any occasion! the views and ambiance are stunning and so is the kitchen

Yelp
If you're looking for drinks - go directly across the hall to Monkeybar (because they're way better.) If you're looking for Israeli food... Come here. I tried the chicken shawarma, and it was good. But the curry chicken served here is fantastic; definitely try that. Also the view of Berlin that you get was amazing, and the service is pretty good. Overall - I recommend.

Yelp
Neni's is a restaurant conveniently located near KaDeWe, the luxury shopping mall, and inside the 25hours Hotel Bikini Berlin. A short elevator ride takes you to the 10th (11th?) floor and top of the building with a beautiful view of the zoo and city. I asked for a table around 1PM on Friday and was initially told a potential 20 minute wait (which you can easily kill next door at the Monkey Bar connected to the restaurant) but was immediately seated upon arrival. Neni's does a good job keeping things pleasant despite a warm summer day with umbrellas and ample shade. Their outdoor chairs are covered in faux-fur carpets which are somewhat comfy but kind of gross (some were covered in dirt or obvious grime and are likely not washed too often). I started with the Gebrannte Aubergine (EUR9.5) which was an amazingly light and refreshing combination of egg, tomato salsa and burnt eggplant. The eggs were cooked perfectly and were very soft; paired with some pita it was definitely my favorite part of the meal. With the waiter's recommendation (many of whom are quite German, which makes sense, but made communicating slightly harder) I went with the NENI Hähnchen-Shawarma/Chicken Shawarma (EUR19.5). The crispy skin on the outside and warm interior was a great combination though the use of mint was a bit unnecessary (I ended up picking them off). The white sauce paired well and was a satisfying mix of savory without being too overwhelming. Value: 3.5 Stars (Total: EUR39.50, including a beer/water) Taste: 4.5 Stars Service: 4.5 Stars

Yelp
/)/) ( . .) ( づ Service here is outstanding! One of my fav restaurants in Berlin! FYI: You have to reserve a table (Opentable)! A little bit on the pricier side. The view and interior design is very pretty. Definitely worth going! Love their hummus plate. Very very good hummus. My fav is still the classic one. But recommending you to try the others out if you're a hummus lover. Spicy caramelized eggplants had a very interesting and unique flavor. Very delicious. Jerusalem plate was my fav dish! Very tender and juicy chicken ans the flavor is amazing. Ribeye was okay. Nothing outstanding and special about that. The Falafel also very delicious. wasn't a big fan of the avocado chickpea salad. Kinda disappointed about that one. Not worth ordering because it was nothing special about it and flavor wise also a disappointed. It just tasted raw. All in all very nice dining experience!

Yelp
Authentic Israeli food with fresh ingredients+ the best view of Berlin! Surrounded by glass windows that overlooks the city, one can enjoy delicious food and drinks in the clouds. Highly recommend for dates , family and friends gatherings and just good company to make memories with in the city. Reservations are needed . Location is within the hotel bikini Berlin

Yelp
I probably should have had my antenna up when I announced to the guy at reception that I had a 7 pm reservation and he replied, "what the fuck is your name?" Ok, I get it. We're uber hip with attitude and don't stand on such ceremonies as common courtesy. I'm actually ok with that -- PROVIDED the food is worthy of the attitude. Sorry dude. The food was lousy. I started with the grilled cauliflower appetizer with tahini and what the menu described as pomegranate chimichurri. The cauliflower was overcooked to within an inch of its life, the tahini was bland and almost flavorless, and other than pomegranate seeds strewn about I have no idea what chimichurri had to do with any of it. For my main I ordered grilled lamb chops. Rather than grill-marked and crusted chops, these were gray and flacid. Worse, there was some flavor I couldn't identify that was really unpleasant. Honestly, I went with an open mind hoping the food matched the receptionist's attitude. I was sorely disappointed.

Yelp
Ambience was great, service was great, food was also great. It gets very busy so if you can get a reservation I would do that. We ate outdoors and the views were spectacular. More of a shared plate kind of place rather than an order your own meal kind of place. Cocktails were very good. Although when the server called me a skinny bitch I was a little taken aback, turns out that's what they call a vodka soda in Germany, who knew?! Lol.

Marlina H.

Yelp
Service was rude and poor quality food. Also elevator smelled like a skunk. Overpriced drinks and such tasteless dishes.

Yelp
Good honest Middle Eastern type of food. Deserts are often over looked.. well not here.. made to order. Delicious. And the view overlooking the zoo is gorgeous !

Yelp
So yummy - cool vibe. Delicious hummus - falafel and desserts. Enjoyed the company and would go again

Yelp

Yelp
Neni Berlin is on the top floor of the Bikini Hotel. We kicked our meal off with a Hugo, which was chosen for me by my debonair companion as "the most refreshing cocktail you'll ever have". I have historically thought that was Nyquil, but I stand corrected. The Hugo was delicious. The "urban jungle" view was amazing and I learned that the hotel is called the Bikini Hotel because it's structurally as sound as a string bikini. Considering my string bikini's are always falling off, (often not with the help of others, but compliments of gravity) -- this made me feel very safe. On to the main event: We had the Neni mezze sampler which came with the standard hummus, tabouli, walnut dips and a very interesting and uniquely savory cauliflower selection. This was my favorite course of the entire meal, and likely because it was unexpected. The main course was manly meats for my carnivore companion, and we both dove into the desserts. Would absolutely return and get a quadruple portion of the cauliflower. The Monkey Bar is adjacent and is a great place to continue (or commence) your evening. Great rooftop.

Yelp
Came in here for dinner @ 10pm for 2 on a Sunday for an anniversary. Decided to give this place a try, heard it resembles California's restaurant/bar. Came in 30 mins. before our reservations to check out the hype in the bar. Took 20 mins to get order (which is fine because it's a weekend). We waited another 20 mins for our drink to be served & a woman took our drink we waited for. (my girlfriend ran after her, wasn't going to wait another 15-20 mins for our drinks to be served again) Only had less than 10 mins to enjoy our drink in the bar before our reservation so decided to just take it to the dining area. Overall, bar has an awesome view and good music. drinks were strong & delicious. Only downfall is the slow service (the waiting part) Dining area is a farm to table-like setting with good ambiance. Love that you can see their kitchen. Got sat right away. The menu was pretty limited & straight forward. Ordered our starter. Came in quick. The starter was okay. It's nothing special. Then we waited soooo long to get our main entree ordered. (It wasn't busy at all as it was closing soon) Ordered our entree & water (non carbonated) from our server. Handed us our water in the bottle on the table. Then I see him pouring other table's water in their glass which made us feel unimportant (maybe because we were young Asians who looked ordinary & not rich?) Overall food was okay. It wasn't anything special. I feel like I just paid for the location & view. The menu price is a overpriced considering it's nothing special in Berlin. And I can't believe I paid a bottled water for 7 Euros without water service!!! That's pretty darn pricey for a half liter. (Should of just got a cocktail instead) My biggest problem here was that I didn't feel like we were served equally as other tables due to the fact that we weren't wearing suits and were young. Our server focused more on other tables who seemed to look "rich" and he didn't even check up on us once we got our entree. We got a welcome, ordered starter & entree, and goodbye. I needed to order things while eating the entree, but he didn't even come by to check on us. Now, as a young chef, I understand restaurant industry. But to have been judged already & not having proper training of service (like pouring water) for a high end restaurant, does not wow me. I've ate several times in Michelin star restaurants to a hole in the wall mama style cooking; regardless of high or low ends, I get the same amazing service without judgments of what I wear or seem to be.

Yelp
Neni... Where should i start? Me and my friend wanted to eat lunch here as we just arrived in our hotel (25Bikini - expect another review soon..) it was quite empty i think 4 other groups were sitting in the restaurant. It took 20 min for someone to come to us, we asked for the english menu as it was all written in German. A few moments later aka 10 min he came back telling us there was no english menu. All good we asked some questions about the food and we ordered.. Finally. 15 min passed by, 20, 25, 30.. and finally after 35/40 min we got our food and keep in your mind there were only 2 couples who also ordered food in the entire restaurant. We both ordered the Sabach and i'm not gonna lie it was delicious and i would definitely order it again. We also had breakfast at the same place twice through the hotel this was how we say in dutch - rampzalig (catastrophic) i'll keep it short but we had to wait 40 min for our food and even the coffee. You have to pay extra for NOT EVEN FRESH fruit. I think that says enough i would not recommend eating breakfast here if you don't have the half day off because that's how long it takes to arrive.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite places to eat in Berlin. It's a bit expensive but totally worth it. Good and special food what you don't get somewhere else. Nice staff and the view over Berlin from Zoo is amazing. Good drinks as well. The wine and cocktails are the best!
google avatar

Rachel E.

Yelp
The view alone tips this review to 5 stars. There are a handful of places in Berlin that give you such an incredible vantage point, and I was over the moon that we got to spend lunch above the tree tops of the Tiergarten. Neni is just so cool. I'm a sucker for the whole industrial design vibe, and Neni was on point. Although we had hoped for a table outside, we were more than happy with the spot we got near their enormous north facing windows. Our server was great, and promptly brought us our drinks and mix of dishes. Being lunch time, we decided to share smaller dishes so we could try as much as possible. We ordered the curry hummus, Korean fried chicken salad, almond crusted chicken with sweet potato fries. Everything was excellent. Still pinching myself over the whole experience. This is a gem in Berlin.

Yelp
Awesome food and view! You must have a reservation unless you're me and they tell you there are no seats in a half empty restaurant and you just stand there staring at them awkwardly until they give in.
google avatar

Rere D.

Yelp
Nice view, great food! Best starter: Sakuska Best mains: The crispy chicken with even crispier sweet potato fries or the Jerusalem Teller Best dessert: Knafeh, takes 20mins to prepare but soooo worth the wait. Not to mention the superfriendly staff!!
google avatar

Ryan C.

Yelp
Great atmosphere and views to take pictures. Definitely a place where you want to make a reservation unless you come early before the crowd. The chicken was delicious and the most memorable of all the dishes. Salad wasn't bad, meatball, kebab were decent. Staff was nice and refilled our drinks when needed. Great place to have lunch but a little overpriced. If you go to the bathroom you will also see a great view as well. Just don't take pictures while you're in there cuz it might get weird!
google avatar

Yelp
The concept of having a chic Israeli, Arabic/ Middle Eastern and Rumanian restaurant with a nice view is really great! We shared the falafel appetizer and had the pulled beef sandwich with fried sweet potatoes (our favorite) and the Jerusalem meal which is made of curry chicken and humus. Both were super delicious and filling. However, stay away from the dessert Knafah! The ones I had many times in Turkey were absolutely delicious but Neni's version was quite unsatisfying! For this reason and because of our super uninterested and very slow waitress I took a star off. At least the guys who brought the food were friendly and smiling.

Yelp
UPDATE: I sent a message to the 25Hours manager, Marco, who relayed it to the restaurant manager Fabian. Within a couple of hours after sending the message, Fabian showed up at my room door with champagne and fresh fruit in hand! Most importantly, there was a handwritten apology from Fabian. He was genuinely apologetic and he invited us back again tonight to prove to us that my experience is not at all consistent with their standards. When I arrived for the reservation Fabian walked me past the line and back to a private table next to the floor-to-ceiling window facing the zoo. Our server, David, was fantastic. He was kind, had great timing, and was very accommodating. He walked us through the menu and the dining style. We decided on the chef's choice tasting menu and we were quite pleased with it. Each course came at perfect intervals. We were stuffed as it was enough food for 3, maybe 4 people depending on the appetite. We didn't even have room for dessert! David packed up what we couldn't finish and offered to send dessert up to our room if we changed our mind. They also covered the entire meal. We found Fabian on our way out to thank him for such a great resolution to my first experience. I wrote Marco not expecting anything in return. My stay in Berlin was so short that I wouldn't have been here long enough to see anything come from this, so I at least wanted to inform him if nothing else. I'm beyond happy with my experience and I'd absolutely come back again - both to 25Hours and Neni. I understand that things happen, but it's more important to me how issues are addressed after the fact. The staff here have gone above and beyond and I thank them for it. The two stars are for ambiance and our server's attempt to make up for the terrible food and customer service. We were staying at the Bikini Berlin and had just checked in. We went up to make a reservation or get a table right away at 8pm on a Tuesday. They gave us a reservation for 10:30pm. When we came back for our reservation, most of the restaurant was empty. It would have been great to have received some sort of notification that we could eat earlier. The man that seated us, I believe the manager for that night, was very short with us. He just started walking away and I assumed he wanted us to follow. We ordered our food, but when I received mine, it was cold. The table next to us had also received cold food and had to send theirs back after waiting an hour for it. I got the pulled beef sandwich and decided to just eat that anyway as I was starving having waited almost 3 hours to eat since making our reservation. The sweet potato fries however were no good cold. Our server asked the cook to make more and she said he "refused" because he had already cleaned the kitchen. What?! Refused??? All I wanted that day were fries and I was expected to eat cold?? And still pay for it??? Then the manager refused to get involved and denied any compensation or resolution whatsoever. Our server confirmed that my fries had been sitting there for 10 minutes before the rest of the meal was ready. We gladly would've gone somewhere else earlier for food if they didn't want to serve anyone else that late. The worst. I would NOT eat here. There are plenty of other great restaurants in the area. Go

If you're looking for a cool spot with great middle eastern food and wonderful views then this place is for you. Reservation is highly recommended, especially in the weekends.

Yelp
AMAZING AND MUST DO IN BERLIN! Coming from the US and being Israeli, I've had my fair share of middle eastern and Israeli/Moroccan food... but Neni was AMAZING. My mother and I got the 3 course meal, which came with appetizers; dinner and dessert. You do not choose your order, the Chef does... but have trust!! Absolutely everything was just perfect. The appetizers were 2 falafel; hummus; tahini; babaganoosh; Israeli salad; sweet potatoe; and chick pea salad... of course w the best thick pita bread. The dinner was rice, eggplant, chicken, hummus, and shrimp with some amazing sauce. The dessert was German cheesecake, baklavah and sobert. I mean, everything was perfect. We were sooo full, it is def enough to share between 3! The service was great too, it was really nice that they spoke such great English! The cherry on top, is the view. I suggest making reservations, so you get a good seat but from each seat in the restaurant you have an entire view of Berlin! It is absolutely breathtaking. ITS A MUST GO AND WILL DEF COME BACK! thank you Neni!!

Yelp
A triumph of style over content. Be prepared for a night club atmosphere, loud music and experimental seating. Not a place for an intimate evening, you'll need to use sign-language to understand what your loved one is saying. As for the food, which purports to be a modern take on Israeli cuisine, there was nothing actually offensive, but equally nothing of any real merit. Hummus is not meant to be elevated beyond its humble status and a lamb kofta is a kofta, no matter how you dress it up. My verdict, go there for the view, the fun, the lively atmos, graze on the food, but don't take it too seriously.

Yelp
I was worried it was going to be touristy because it's the rooftop of a hotel but it had been recommended to me by a friend who knows Berlin so I went on a solo date to check it out. The host was incredibly accommodating as I told him it was just me and I had heard amazing things. The food was one of the best meals I had had. Beautiful views as well.

Yelp
I was excited about an Israeli option in Berlin - after a trip to Jerusalem I am possibly too spoiled by wonderful ingredients and magnificent cooking. But Neni will not stay on my list of bookmarks. The ambiance and especially the view is stunning. Nice tables and interior design, open kitchen that unfortunately reveals the lack for detail and love for food that I experienced. The service was terrible: first time in Berlin that I felt rushed. Our waitress had no patience nor interest in explaining the menu - I know that might be the standard in this city but I thought that neni had higher standards. The plates were carelessly placed in front of you - if you don't care about the food you serve that's what you do: arms in your face, no bon Appetit, no sommelier to be seen - the lack of basic hospitality. These people want to make money and do not live to cook. The food: hummus platter - three kinds of hummus beet, mango and classic - edible but I like it better with more tahini. The Jerusalem platter had nicely prepared vegetables but the chicken and the whole composition of ingredients reminded me more of fast food than of a sophisticated and creative cuisine. Be sure to get the small plate - it's plenty! The espresso macchiatto tasted very weak. A pleasant evening out with friends but not much neni contributed to that.

Madhu T.

Yelp
Location and view great. Food? Not quite michellin Had the sabich - bread was cold, dry and crackly. Couldn't be used as a wrap. However filling of hummus/eggplant/falafel was great.

Carmen W.

Yelp
This is the place to go to if you like it a bit fancier. The interior is amazing, the view is fantastic and the food is delicious. Reservations are highly recommended since it's a very popular place. I recommend to have Sabich (only 10€!) or the Jerusalem platter. Unfortunately Neni is a bit overprized and the music is a bit too loud.. I've seen a review that said staff was very unprofessional and unfriendly, which I do not 100% agree with. The guy who seated us seemed a bit arrogant but the waiter who served us was super friendly and helpful!
google avatar

Kannyn M.

Yelp
Like others I give it an extra star for the View, Outstanding, every table has a great view. The food was good for Berlin standards and the service was on par. We were not rushed and each plate was explained. Everything, and I mean everything comes with a side of Hummus so there is no need to get Hummus as a starter/appetizer. We loved the HUGE shrimp, but felt like the kitchen was rushed and the shrimp were a bit raw, but still very delightful. I would recommend the place on a weeknight, it get's pretty loud and they pack you in, but the view and good make it a worthy trip. A nightcap in the Monkey Bar can complete a great night out in Berlin.
google avatar

Mona W.

Yelp
Now this is an example of the middle East coming together for the sake of delicious food. Isreali, Syrian, and Lebanese dishes are served tastefully. The ambiance totally rocks, and overlooks the city. Great for lunch and dinner. The Monkey Bar is also awesome for late night drinks.

Bethe B.

Yelp
If I could give no stars I would. Awful customer service. Hostess is terrible. We made a reservation and then when we got there they said we had no reservation. Terrible service.
google avatar

Adrian S.

Yelp
High quality food with good service. The view on the zoo is very nice, even though you don't see much more then trees;-) The service is a little stiff, but the extraordinary food lets you forget everything else. Try the caramelized eggplant!

Bryan D.

Yelp
The chicken shawarma came out undercooked; regrettably, I had a bite or two thinking (like a naive American) oh this is how they do it here... gross. Feeling pretty queasy right now, hope it's psychosomatic. Time will tell....

H D.

Yelp
The food was delicious but a little overpriced. But must see when in Berlin. Loved the decor and atmosphere of this place.
google avatar

Jonas G.

Yelp
First of all: make a reservation. Food is presented really nice but you would expect it tastes better. After all it almost feels average. Due to the nice atmosphere, good service and great desert I still give it 4 instead of 3 stars.
google avatar

Augusto N.

Yelp
It is the middle of the night in Berlin and I can't sleep due to some awful jet-lag so I decided to trash my girlfriend's new favorite place. she is sleeping next to me and I'm really hopping she doesn't wake up because knowing her she'd consider this a bigger betrayal than catching me sleeping with her best friend. about the place. i guess that with the influx of israeli expats to berlin Neni's owner thought they could also convince the food to make Alyah (look it up). i'm not sure the move is a total success. to me it is going against something i've learned few years back when trying to settle in this zip code: 1 you can't make Germans smile 2 you can't make Israelis say please 3 you can't make humus in Berlin crap she is moving.... no worries false alarm.

Yelp
This restaurant was a complete surprise. We showed up without a reservation and they found us a seat by the window. Incredible views of the Tiergarten and busy city below. The food was incredible. We ordered the Balagan, and it was excellent. It included a variety of menu items all of which were delicious. Highly recommended.

Patricia M.

Yelp
This is the first time we've ever walked out of a restaurant before we've even received a menu. It was 4:30pm on a Tuesday afternoon. The restaurant was almost empty. We didn't have a reservation, but even so they tried to fob us off with a table with a view of the buildings instead of the zoo. We asked for a nicer view and were reluctantly given one. We sat and waited for a menu or any service for five minutes. The waitress walked by twice without acknowledging we were even there (nose in the air). We decided to leave as it didn't bode well for a nice meal. My advice is to somewhere friendlier that appreciates having customers.
google avatar

Robert K.

Yelp
I was a bit disappointed in Neni. For the price the food is really nothing special, I expected a bit more creativity and quality here. The lamb was too fat (and not the kind of fat that would be eatable) and the other dishes were served a bit too cold. On the positive side the marinated chicken was very good in terms of taste though. Our waiter was also super friendly and recommended a great wine. The view is a plus as well. So if do not have as high expectations on Israeli food as I have you might like this place better.

Amanda A.

Yelp
So yummy and also well priced! I have been here two times in May 2015. The first time I had a klein "Karamellisierte Auberginen", followed by a klein "Sabich" and then their Brownie for dessert. Everything tasted great and I was very full, didn't really need the dessert haha. The second time I had the klein "Israelisches Ratatoille" for starter and the klein "Kichererbsen Ragout" for main. Also really delishious. This is a place that is just as good for vegetarians as it is for meat eaters :) I especially recommend the combo that I ate the first time I was there.

Estelle S.

Yelp
When we arrived at 11:45 we were told that it was closed and NOT that we could make a reservation. When we returned at 12 we were told all the tables facing the green side were reserved. There was NOBODY sitting on any table. When somebody offered us a table on the other side where everybody walks by and called this:"beautiful" we declined and left.I read a review in a Jewish paper and will let them know about this as well.It is okay to have some reservation, but not all. Ballagan is to be flexible and accomodate drop ins, people walking by and wanting to enjoy a nice meal. Maybe you do not want older ladies???We are from Jerusalem and the US Assia Schwarz and Estelle Stern

Yelp
When we arrived they told us the restaurant was fully booked and we can get a free table 2 hours later. That wasn't true though. 5 tables were empty and there were no people waiting with us. So we asked them politely to recheck and then 5 minutes later, yes they had a table. We find it a little bit pretentious. Even when we left 2 hours later three of these tables were still empty. The table that we had was one of the round ones with the big chairs and it was really uncomfortable to have dinner there. They should put some pillows or change the chairs. The waitress though was really nice and friendly and took excellent care of us. We were really happy about that. The food was average though. Not worth it for these prices. The Ratatouille was really not so tasty and the small salad had too much dressing on it. The chicken with the almond crust was really dry and the chocolate fudge brownie was a disappointment. The view of the restaurant and the design were great but apart of that we were not satisfied from the experience and the money that we gave. Sad though cause they could do something amazing there.

Yelp
Great view, even at the bath room, good food, nice atmosphere. Beautiful place for brunch.

Yelp
TOURIST TRAP WITH A GREAT VIEW! I have been there twice with family and friends. The view is so nice that we wanted to give it another chance. Both times we waited 10 minutes for a menu. Then after 10 minutes for a drink order nobody came. I had to get up and find someone to take our order. another 15 minutes to get the drinks. The food came quickly but very average and overpriced. With a middle eastern menu there is no ambiance or personality to go with it and make it a real unique experience. The personal was overwhelmed and both times the restaurant was not even full. They behave like a fast food restaurant. But the location has more of an upscale potential. They have no idea about gastronomie or service. With those views and all the tourists coming in they got lucky. I would recommend this place to go to the bar and have a drink just to check out the views. But not for eating.
