Outstanding service, food, and beer as always. It’s been 4 years since we’ve been here and it was just as wonderful, if not better. Great restaurant and great flavor of burger.

Sarah Houts

Google
What can I say? The food was phenomenal. I had the Belvis Burger, and it didn't disappoint. The fries were special, almost double fried. I don't know how to describe them. Just delicious. The vibe of the place was fun and pretty chill. The service was fantastic. Ashley was so great. She was nice and working so hard on a busy Valentine's Day. She also helped us get a table big enough for our party of 7. I hope management recognizes ($$) her for being an asset to the restaurant.

Google
We were excited to try Neon Pig, but overall the experience was mixed. The smash burgers and smash fries, which are really hyped up, felt overrated to us. On the bright side, the burnt ends were delicious and packed with flavor. The filet mignon was also good, though the plate presentation was messy and not very appealing. The setup is super casual—drinks are self-serve, and if you order burgers or tacos, they’re served in wrappers with no plates. Tables were small and our table was never cleared by the staff, which made the dining space feel cluttered. If you’re going for the burnt ends, it might be worth a stop. Otherwise, it didn’t quite live up to the hype for us.

I ordered a ribeye steak, medium rare, and paid $60 for it—but what I received was not what I wanted. (see attached photos). The steak was nowhere near the requested doneness, and when I pointed it out to the staff, I was still charged the full amount. For the price, I expected far better quality and service. Sadly, this experience was a total letdown. I would not recommend this place.

Google
My favorite place to eat in over 3 thousand miles! The best grilled shrimp I've had in ages! My husband who is very picky loved his steak, and I loved the vegetable plate!

Google
Came in for a conference, and we went to Neon Pig for lunch. I got the taco special, which was insanely good, and at price that we would have paid at McDonalds. Quite literally, one of the best meals I have ever had! The people were great as well.

Google
This place is a must visit! Everything about it was awesome. Come hungry y’all…these smash burgers are not thin.

Google
Pretty neat little bistro/butchers shop/market/craft beer bar Music was a bit loud, but not unpleasant Food was great. I could eat that tomato salad all day

Yelp
We were traveling through Tupelo as we were driving down the Natchez Trace Parkway. The Neon Pig had great reviews and was easily accessed from the Natchez Trace. Wow! We were not disappointed. We arrived just after the lunch rush and were greeted immediately upon walking in the door. Since we missed the rush, we were told to sit wherever we wanted. The waitstaff was very friendly and explained to us how all their meat was ground on site and was always fresh. Some of the burgers are a mix of beef and pork. Both of the burgers we ordered were absolutely delicious. My wife ordered the Smash Burger and I ordered the Project Pat-ty Melt. Both were wonderful and packed with flavor. We cut the burgers in half and shared with each other. I'm glad we did because the burgers were both good but both were very different. The Smash burger uses the "smash grind" which consists of the filet, ribeye, sirloin, NY strip, and bacon. It also had pickled onions. I think the pickles were homemade as well. Very very good burger. The patty melt comes with the secret meatball grind with pepper jack cheese and caramelized onions on an inverted bun (sorta like Texas Toast). Bottom line - Absolutely a wonderful burger. An easy five-star review. This is a must-try if you are traveling the Natchez Trace and need to grab a bite. Definitely worth the visit. Bon appétit appétit, y'all.

Yelp
Menu was unique and the staff was very nice. Both my spouse and I enjoyed our selections. Seating was a bit difficult but doable.

Yelp
The Neon Pig is pretty much the total package if you are looking for a great burger and fries in Tupelo, Mississippi. The Neon Pig has a cool, hip ambiance and vibe. Our server was absolutely amazing and the smash burger was incredible and my loaded fries were probably the best fries that I ever had. Yes, these might be the best fries that I ever had. The prices are decent enough, especially when considering the quality of the food. I can't think of one negative about our experience at the Neon Pig. This place is truly amazing. If you find yourself in Tupelo, Mississippi, you have to check out the Neon Pig. It is that good. And do not miss out on the fries.

Clint A.

Yelp
What a find! Great vibe (and 90's rock tunes in background). Read the reviews and stuck w/ the go to's: The Belvis and loaded fries. Come hungry because both didn't disappoint. Hope to come again and try others.

Ra C.

Yelp
Our Smash burgers were scrumptious. The Mac Daddy was superb and the loaded fries had just the right amount of seasoning & parmesan cheese. The service was excellent and our server was amazing. The overall experience was top notch. We will be back again soon. Keep up the great work Neon Pig!

Jerry S.

Yelp
Food and service were great! We recommend this restaurant and will be back!! The atmosphere was cozy and friendly.

Christopher T.

Yelp
Traveling from Tuscaloosa from Oxford and stumbled upon this gem. Although located in a strip center this place does not disappoint. The menu has quite a few options - burgers, sandwiches, entrees, etc.. As noted be other reviews, the staff recommended I give the "Belvis" a try. It was outstanding. Definitely in top echelon of burgers I have ever had. The meat and toppings are expertly matched up. The melty pimento cheese is quite the touch. I liked the seasoning so much I bought of bottle of it to take home. The service is really good. The ambiance is very casual. When in Tupelo, you should definitely check this place out. N*joy!

Frankie C.

Yelp
Absolutely the best burger that I've ever had hand down. They cut ribeyes up in the burger meat and the smoke taste is off the chain. Killer fries also

Cassidy B.

Yelp
Amazing service! She recommended her favorite things (Belvis burger) and was very sweet and patient. The pimento cheese was outstanding!!! The BBQ sliders were good but the burgers were sooooooo yummy! Definitely suggest the Belvis. Hope to go back!

Billie E.

Yelp
We were stuck in Tupelo for a couple days when a friend's motorcycle broke down. The Neon Pig served up the best meal we had while there. The pork was tender, cooked just so. The portions were just right and the service was great. The rustic setting was comfortable. If we ever find ourselves rolling through that sweet little town again, we will enjoy another meal there!

Chriss N.

Yelp
If you're in the Tupelo area Neon Pig is a must stop. A small little butcher shop with a special smash grind burger unlike anything you've ever tasted. The atmosphere is very warm and inviting, you can sit at the bar and watch your food being cooked or at a table. You will want to get here early, it fills up pretty quick. Being that I live over 400 miles away I wanted to buy some of the smash burger to bring home and share, the service for helping us get the meat prepared to getting ice for our cooler was amazing. If you're close to the area, try the smash grind, you will understand why it's received so many awards!

Aaron M.

Yelp
Never walked out of a restaurant despite the service but the lady working on 2/7/24 was incredibly rude to other customers to the point we felt uncomfortable and decided to take our business elsewhere. She was yapping loudly about her drama at home and new grandbaby's name but couldn't be bothered to do anything other than roll her eyes at every person walking in the door. If you hate your job, find a new one.

Traci C.

Yelp
A burger joint and a butcher shop all in one. That combo just screams America and it is delicious. The smash burgers are fantastic...and very large! The two of us each got a different one and split it so we could try two different kinds. No fries or sides were needed, and the burgers were plenty big and filling. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the Tupelo area.

Ty M.

Yelp
We haven't been here in a bit, but we always stop in whenever we find ourselves in Tupelo. I am not a meat eater, but the tomato salad (sans bacon) and the fries always draw me back. I am very happy that they have gotten more help.

Carol M.

Yelp
Cute place. Burger was just okay. I probably would not go back. Beer was cold. And the waitress was amazing.

S M.

Yelp
On our trip from Atlanta back to Texarkana, this is one of our favorite places to stop. The Staff is very friendly. The owner is very cordial plus the burgers are fantastic.

Jim M.

Yelp
Best burger I've ever had! Mac Daddy! Really good service! Everyone was Friendly Highly recommend everyone to try

Shelley M.

Yelp
I'm sorry, the reviews for this place is very off. I decided to try here based on the Yelp reviews.. I was kind of hesitant, due to some of the bad reviews. I tried anyway.. why not.I arrived it wasn't anyone in there... its like dinner time! I ordered the burger that says "best burger" with loaded fries. Let me say burger was ok nothing impressive, fries was just aight... some crispy. I was eating this food and thinking "it's not worth the money." The food here really wasn't all that( the bad reviews were right)and it's definitely not something you would brag about. I have definitely eaten a better burger than that overpriced burger.

Ashley G.

Yelp
My husband and I are trying to steer away from fast food while traveling and decided to try Neon Pig based on the raving reviews. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. Our waitress gave us a run down of their food and her favorites. I opted to play it safe with the smashburger, which to my surprise means something other than a smashed patty. The burgers are quite large! I missed hearing her say it was pretty smoky (later my husband said "she told you that") She wasn't lying! I actually didn't enjoy the flavor. The meat was very tender, juicy and seasoned well. My husband got the Blue Canoe Burger and it was delicious! He won this round. Sides are extra so we added truffle fries (based on our waitresses recommendations again) they came out covered in some sort of a chimichurri (which again, I didn't love). I'm not upset about any of this. I know I just got the wrong things. I wish we were closer so I could try more! Very laid back environment, family friendly. Will be back next time we're in Tupelo.

Summer B.

Yelp
Had a great experience. Delicious food, great service! I had the Dumbo burger and it was amazing!

Kristal B.

Yelp
Oh my gosh this was our first time and it did not disappoint! Food was delicious!!! We all cleaned our paper "plates". Will definitely be back.

Richard B.

Yelp
Friends & I went to the Neon Pig last night. The staff at Neon Pig are so kind & helpful. Their smash burger is the world's best sandwich! The ambience is casual & groovy! It was here that I decided to try their fillet steak. I've bought them at Neon Pig to grill at home & let me tell you, they sell the BEST steaks in the South! Their in restaurant steak is divine! I eat meat about twice per week. Prior to last night, I had not eaten beef in about 3 weeks. My steak at the Neon Pig was perfection!

Lynne F.

Yelp
We had eaten here several years ago and very much liked their food and their beer selection. When we walked in this time we learned that they had just completely changed their menu so we were among the first to try it. All I can say is their Smash Burger is just as excellent as it was before, according to my husband, and their Bash burger is excellent as well. Their fries were crispy and tasty, very well-seasoned, and their roasted veggies were superb. The servers were very attentive, great about letting you taste the different sauces before ordering, and good at explaining the various menu offerings. And the interior is very laid-back and casual, with lots of seating options & configurations from bar seating to picnic benches to tall tabletops. We'll be back next time we're in Tupelo!

Shannon H.

Yelp
Great local food. Don't overlook this Small shop just because it is in a strip mall.

Birch B.

Yelp
Never let me down. One of my favorite restaurants on earth. Love the tomato salad and anything with white sauce.

Kelso S.

Yelp
Best smash burger and home cut fries. Especially delicious sauce and marinated onions on the burger. It is worth a drive to enjoy.

Marissa M.

Yelp
I randomly picked this place to eat on a roadtrip after seeing advertisements for the Famous Smash Burger being one of the best burgers in America. Personally, I felt the burger was only OK. Service was also OK. It was really confusing as an outsider how to order coming in, so maybe some signage or staff greeting you as you come in would be helpful. Overall, good pit stop, but nothing I'm raving about at home.

Jimmie Q.

Yelp
Burgers were really good -- juicy and flavorful. Several options for fixings. I had potato salad and it was okay. I suspect it's made with Greek yogurt. It was better after a liberal dousing of salt and pepper. My husband had fries; many of them were over cooked -- hard and oil filled. But the correctly cooked fries were delicious. The shop has a nice selection of local goods like jam, honey, sauces. Friendly staff. Fast service. Definitely a solid choice for local food in Tupelo.

Missy C.

Yelp
Very fast and friendly service. Super neat place. We enjoyed our meal. Never had anything like it.

Spencer S.

Yelp
The reviews are spot on. I had an awesome burger with fresh cut fries that the server recommended. It's a chill place with friendly staff. If you're passing through the area, check it out!

Jeff B.

Yelp
They have a great selection of draft beers and a wonderful staff that can guide you about their selection.

Heather L.

Yelp
So yummy and so much fun to visit with friends! We had pulled pork and some other fantastic menu options. Needless to say, we plan to visit again very soon.

Aaron C.

Yelp
Amazing pork belly burnt ends and Belvis Burger! Get the Jerky sauce on the burger or anything really!

Deb L.

Yelp
Wow! I was blown away- this is not what I expected to find in Tupelo. They took the smash burger to a whole new level. Fries were hot , fresh, and quickly disappeared. Service was great and I recommend making a point to try this place if passing through.

Craig D.

Yelp
Supposed to be #1 burger.. hard negative! Definitely not a smash burger as described either. Fries are great and the wonderful waitress gave us beef jerky while we wait. Burger taste just like lighter fluid. All 7 of us had same opinion. Seen them cooking on a flat top grill not sure how you would get this taste from that. Makes me wonder if they smoke or grill the burgers then finish them on the flat top. Just terrible tasting meat. Excellent service the all employees we talked to was over the top pleasant. Maybe get something besides the burger and you will be ok.

Alphonso L.

Yelp
It's ok. But the food just taste ordinary. Really looking for some fresh tasty food. May try them again to be sure.

Amy W.

Yelp
One of the joys of a road trip is discovering deliciousness wherever it can be found. We hit the motherlode with Neon Pig - a cafe-butcher-green-grocer with an emphasis on local goodness. I scored bigtime with the Smash Potato - a whole perfectly baked spud with crispy exterior, well seasoned "smash meat" smothered with tangy melted cheddar and topped with a perfect fried egg that, when pricked with a fork, ran dreamily across the meat & potato. Includes arugula salad (lightly tossed with a snappy dressing), slaw and bright slightly sweet pickled onion - WOWZA! My companion had the hot shrimp sandwich - spectacular little shrimps cooked to perfection - tender - with addictive hoisin sauce - heaven! If you're near Tupelo I cannot recommend it more. p.s. Great service - super friendly and effective staff - thanks so much Neon Pig!

Alex W.

Yelp
Hands down the best French fries I have ever had! Food and service were excellent. Quaint little family owned place.

Madison S.

Yelp
Great atmosphere and pretty good food. The meat quality was incredible. Got the burnt ends and the smash burger - burnt ends were to die for, and smash burger had homemade ingredients on it that in my opinion made the burger. Wish burger had a little more flavor, but overall great place! Highly recommend if you are in the Tupelo area!

Jeffrey G.

Yelp
If you like burgers that tastes like lighter fluid than this is the place for you. Service was slow but is was busy so that's okay. Why this place was busy? Who knows. Advise you not to come.

Nigel D.

Yelp
I was stopping in town for the night on my way back to Arkansas from a business trip in Alabama and thought I would give this place a try and I am so glad I did. From the welcome the moment I walked in the door, to being told to 'help myself' to a beer out the fridge all the way to getting one of the best burgers I have ever had. I went with the Belvis Burger with Fully Loaded Fries and it was good, a little messy to eat but real good! I really wish I had known in advance that they sold local grass fed dry aged beef as well. If I had known I would have brought a cooler with me as theirs steaks looked amazing. I know next time I am traveling through Tupelo I will be making a detour to stop here and get a burger and pick up some steaks.

Amy D.

Yelp
We were traveling south from St. Louis to Orange Beach and decided to stay overnight in Tupelo. We like to eat local when we travel and selected the Neon Pig for its healthier options. I had the Trish bowl with salmon. My partner had the Trash Hamburger steak. The bowl was filled with lots of veggies and well seasoned and grilled salmon. The harissa sauce and the pickled red onions brought the perfect acid and tang to the saltiness and buttery taste of the salmon. The hamburger steak was the most flavorful ground meat we've had. The staff were all working hard and friendly. Drinks are self serve including bottled & canned beer. Great selection of beer including craft.

Owen H.

Yelp
Food is sub par. Soda fountain is quite disgusting and probably a health hazard. Service was calm but a bit absent. Would not recommend.

Stan D.

Yelp
Great menu with the butcher shop if you live local for meat. Was in town and saw that they had a great review and an interesting menu. I got the BELVIS BURGER, and found it to be very good instead of the pork bellies I opted for bacon, which was perfect for me. I also got the fries just plain they cooked them while the burger was getting ready. Excellent flavor. When I'm in the area I will definitely go again.

Tina S.

Yelp
My sister had eaten here and said it was the best burger she had ever eaten. We made the SIX HOUR one way trip here on Labor Day weekend so I could try this smash burger. It was not good! My sister was immediately nauseous after taking a couple of bites of the burger. I ate about half of mine and my sister wouldn't let me bring back the leftover meat to my dog for fear it would make her sick. Even with the black, burnt French fries mixed in with the fresh fries, that was the best thing about the meal. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED!!! Only positive was our waitress... to bad she didn't cook the food or it might of been good!

Randy S.

Yelp
Had American Burger Med Rare - was cooked and seasoned to perfection. The toppings are selectively placed and blended to give a delightful and different taste. I travel all over the US and I'm adding this as a def place to re-visit.

Phillip B.

Yelp
I had the Smash cheese burger with pickled onions and a side slaw Really good juicy meat seasoned well definitely a good burger , the slaw is vinegar based was good as well , this place has a lot of character , a butcher shop and a grill , the smashed tacos looked good also.

Aerianna F.

Yelp
Food was good. Served on a brown paper. Service was good!! Ambiance was decorated. I would recommend and revisit!

Aaron R.

Yelp
Great ambiance, it feels like a typical BBQ joint that I love: bar option, great beer selection, different seating areas, high top tables, regular tables, etc. Has that sort of "gas station BBQ" feel without all the undesirable aspects of a gas station. The service was helpful and knowledgeable about the menu for questions. Three people, including myself, ordered a smash burger (labeled as their famous burger). I found the smoky flavor of the burgers to be overpowering any other flavor. The garnish was nice, homemade pickles and onions, but it was overshadowed by the smoky flavor. A nice variety of probably 10 BBQ sauces was nice too. The fries are steak fries and had a nice seasoning. My wife ordered a chicken lettuce wrap, and it was tasty. The slaw was kind of a curry-Thai flavor. My son didn't like it but I did. All in all, its pretty good, but I'm basing my review on the burger.
