Nest Hotel Osaka Umeda really set the tone for my trip—it was so classy, so cool, and incredibly affordable. It felt like luxury on a budget. I had already secured an apartment nearby, but I ended up extending my stay just because I loved it so much. I arrived late at night and was relieved to find drink machines and a 7-Eleven just a short walk away. The location is unbeatable—close to both the bus, subway, and train lines, and surrounded by every type of food you could crave. From yakiniku and ramen to pizza, McDonald’s, and even soufflé pancakes, everything was just steps away. There were also great consignment shops tucked behind the hotel, and I was within walking distance of Tsutaya, a wonderful bookstore where I spent many hours reading and enjoying quiet meals during the rest of my stay in Osaka. The front desk staff were kind, helpful, and spoke English, which made everything easier. They even directed me to the Loft so I could pick up essentials for my new apartment. The room was small (as expected in Japan), but very clean, thoughtfully laid out, and comfortable. The bed was cozy, and while I recovered from jet lag, the staff thoughtfully left fresh towels and new slippers without me having to ask. I genuinely wish I could have spent my entire time in Osaka at Nest Umeda. The service, location, and vibe were truly everything I needed.

Our room was just spacious enough for 2 persons and it was clean. I commend the hotel staff in the front desk because they are very helpful and accomodating and always ready to help us when we need something. Every time we put the sign to clean up, we go home to a clean room. 😊We had a workshop in Kansai University, Umeda Campus and it’s just a 5 minute walk, very strategic location to the school.

Minimalist-sized rooms with good service and great location. If you are taking trains here, look into having your largest luggage bags sent through the mail. Its easier than us americans thought.

Cant fault the service of the people working at the hotel and also the location is quite easy to get to after you navigate Osaka Station the first time round. The property itself is aging and quite small. Whilst enough for 2 people, if you are bringing along a child, recommend upgrading to one of their bigger rooms as we did because the default sized rooms were a bit too small.

Lovely room but not properly cleaned. The carpets had dust and as well hair. Under the bed its like dust frenzy;). And to top that i asked for water, and that is only provided if you put the dnd sign on the door(otherwise you are not entitled to it). The room is small but is properly arranged with good taste, lovely view through the small window. There is one vending machine which does not have a high variety of choices. The personnel is nicely trained and respectful.

We recently stayed there since we couldn’t get back to Tokyo because of a typhoon. The personnel was beyond friendly and helpful in supporting us in dealing with our luggage back in Tokyo. We are very grateful! Besides that, the hotel is clean, nicely decorated and located.

The room was too cramped for two people, mainly because we mistakenly chose a single bed, leaving us with insufficient space to organize our luggage. Additionally, the bathroom had a bad smell, possibly indicating a sewage issue. The odor was strong, making it uncomfortable to use the restroom. The service was okay. One of the guys seemed to be having a rough day, but the others were friendly. The location is excellent because many restaurants and shops are within walking distance. Surprisingly, someone mentioned ghostly happenings in their review, and I went through a similar uneasy experience at night. At first, I thought I was imagining things about the hotel being haunted, but it seems I'm not alone, so there might be some history to it.

The hotel itself is really good, but the service is not great though. They refused to give us water not only once but twice. We were told to go to 7/11 to buy a bottle. The location is all right, it depends on each station you need to go is a bit of walk
