Netuk House

Our stay in Gangtok was truly heartwarming. We chose a charming homestay with a direct view of the Kanchenjunga, and every morning felt like waking up in a dream. The balcony overlooking the mountains, surrounded by a beautiful garden, added so much peace to our mornings. The hosts served delicious homely food, and the entire place had a very warm, welcoming vibe. It’s the kind of place where you feel less like a guest and more like family. Highly recommended for those looking for a quiet, soulful stay in the lap of nature.

There are more positives than negatives for this hotel.|Pros:|1. Location is very good. M G Road is just 10 mins walk away from the hotel.|2. Mt Kanchenjunga is visible from the hotel. We had a very good view in the morning.|3. Food is very good. We had dinner for 2 days. They customised the items based on the need for our kids. We wanted mon spicy food and it was provided.|4. Geyser is present in bathrooms.|5. A special mention for Mr. Prosenjit Laha (manager) who helped us right from booking till we left the hotel.||Cons:|1. I found the staff was a bit rude sometimes while speaking with them. I have informed the same to Mr. Prosenjit Laha.|2. Snacks items in the evening is served a bit late around 6:30 PM which I feel is late. This should have been around 5:30 PM.|3. If the head cook is not available then there will be limited menu for dinner.||Overall, it was a good and peaceful stay at Netuk House.

I gave 1 out of 5 because:||1. The moment we landed we were informed by the manager that kitchen won’t be functional because chef has cut his hand. What a welcome!|2. There was only one staff who was in kitchen, gave us table fan and also served tea|3. The walls between rooms were thin wood/ply and you could everything that happened in other rooms. So go if you are a silent person.|4. I had to order food through zomato|5. The concept of non-veg for manager was eggs, nothing else.|6. Though initial booking was for three nights had to leave early morning after first night|7. Location is good but be prepared to be welcomed by clothes of neighbouring houses hanging out for drying.

We had the most beautiful stay at Netuk house. All of the staff were so very helpful, welcoming & friendly!! We very much enjoyed relaxing on the balcony with a view of the town & mountains. The food was also very delicious. Special mention to Prasenjit at the front desk who helped arrange logistics.

Loved the location. Very close to the market yet with a wonderful valley view. Clean rooms clean linen and spacious rooms with a character. Loved the interiors. Special thanks to Cyrus for great service available round the clock

We had a truly lovely stay at Netuk House, perfectly located just a short walk from MG Marg. The property offers breathtaking views and a serene, calming atmosphere that made our time in Gangtok extra special. The staff were exceptionally polite and courteous, always ready to help with a smile. A heartfelt thank you to Prasenjit ji, the manager, who went out of his way to ensure we were comfortable and well looked after throughout our stay. His warmth and dedication really stood out. The rooms were spacious and well-kept, and waking up to the stunning views from our window was a treat in itself. Netuk House is a wonderful blend of heritage charm and modern comfort—highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful getaway in the heart of Gangtok!

Our group of 5 Aussies really enjoyed our stay at Netuk House. The rooms were large and beds comfortable. The small staff went out of their way to be friendly and helpful. Breakfasts were excellent. There were not many guests at the time we stayed but dinner was available upon request. We didn’t need it as the town was full of food options just a short walk away.

Had a wonderful time at the hotel. The staff were warm and welcoming, the room was spotless and cozy, the terrace offered a picturesque view and the location was just perfect.||A special thanks to the General Manager, Mr. Prasenjit Laha, for his exceptional support. He truly knows how to take care of his guests – a very courteous and professional gentleman.
