Neumühle Resort & SPA

Beautiful location by the water,watermill outside,very private,quiet,old nicely restored buildings,great rooms,pretty spa area,old style nice restaurant,great furnishing of rooms,fabulous bathroom,all very stylish.Breakfast ok,dinner meny fairly small,food on plate more beautiful than tasty,some odd combinations,great service saved the experience though.

Nice hotel with a nod to history in scenic location. Friendly welcome upon arrival. The spa is small but modern and functional. The food and service were mediocre and pricy. When we arrived we were told when to eat our pre-booked dinner and staff were not flexible to accommodate our preferences at all. The three-course dinner was OK, and the cheese selection nice. There is a hefty surcharge when planning to use the spa on departure day. Saunas are not even switched on before 10AM and checkout is at 11AM, allowing for little time to use the facilities. Longer use of the SPA is charged at EUR 35 per person, even if it’s just for another hour! All considered not worth it at the premium price point. Other places at a similar price point offer a better package (e.g. Friedrichsruhe), where the SPA is available to use all day long on departure day and even the Spa menu is included. Also, service there is refined, friendly and accommodating, which we didn’t find at Neumühle.

We had a fabulous time here on our five night stay. The hotel and rooms are cosy and quiet. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Breakfast and dinner are splendid. The latter is a wonderful four course menu that we enjoyed every evening. Also the accompanying wines are very tasty. Not to forget the spa area, fitness room and little island with sun chairs to enjoy the surroundings and the adjacent river. All in all especially wonderful. Thank you to the whole staff.

We came here to treat ourselves, celebrating our wedding anniversary, to let our souls unwind and have a luxury wellness weekend. |Oh boy, did we hit bullseye! If you wanna know what perfect service is, you have found your destination. Enjoy wellness, beautiful surroundings and top notch cuisine. To be fair and for the sake of completeness, yes the romantic getaway does come at a price, but don‘t forget… you wanted to treat yourself with something.

We stayed here during our recent Germany trip because the hotel was located only five minutes from my dad's house and it offered rooms with a/c. We had a beautiful, big room that faced the Saale river. There were window screens so we could open the windows to get fresh air during the cooler days. The bathroom was huge and offered a tub as well as a large walk-in shower. Very charming property with lots of character. Easy parking and lots of areas to relax and unwind. The spa was great too. We only booked with breakfast since we knew that we would be on the road a lot. The breakfast selection was not quite as good as we had hoped but overall we had a great stay and will definitely be back. Location wise, the hotel is located in a very rural area but we knew that and welcomed the peace and quiet that it offered.

Literally every aspect of our stay here has been great. The resort is comprised of a number of very old buildings that have been beautifully renovated. The room we stayed in had all the authentic details and was decorated beautifully. Moreover, it was impeccably clean and had all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. The spa facilities were top-notch with a variety of saunas and relaxation areas to choose from. We also loved the food served at the resort's restaurant. A different menu is served each day, and each dish was prepared using fresh and high-quality ingredients. The breakfast in the morning was excellent, and the service from all members of the staff felt very personal and welcoming overall. Overall we can highly recommend Neumühle Resort & SPA to anyone seeking a luxurious and peaceful retreat in the beautiful German countryside. We will certainly be coming back!

One of my favourite hotel in Germany so far. It’s really romantic, quiet and relaxing. Whenever I feel like I need a short weekend getaway from Frankfurt, this hotel would always come up as the first choice. I love this place and the spa area. The service, breakfast, lunch, dinner and activities offered here are great! And I already planing spending Christmas here with my loved ones!

We had a great room with river view. Everything was super clean and we found everything we needed in the room - from cosy bathrobes to proper vine glasses. ||The restaurant served very good food, all staff we met was very helpful and super friendly. They were very extremely flexible, even with special requests. Breakfast was great and included everything one might need for breakfast. Spa and wellness area are very spacious and I really liked that the sauna was open from before noon until the evening.||If I could, I would go back there directly! Really: nothing to complain about!
