Neungdong Minari

Our first time trying the parsley beef broth and it was such a unique and comforting dish! The yukje was amazing as well and we thoroughly enjoyed this despite the 1 hour wait.

It's a place I've been looking forward to and waiting for a long time, but to be honest, I was very disappointed about this visit. First of all, the waiting time was quite long, but there was no waiting room, so I felt tired while standing. After waiting, I sat down and ordered Minari Gomtang, which I had always liked, but unfortunately, it wasn't the same taste as before. In the past, it was a deep and clean taste with the rich soup and the flavor of water parsley, but this time, the taste of the soup was bland and the seasoning didn't match properly. The meat seemed to be of less quality than before, and the water parsley was less fresh. The more I took a bite, the more disappointed I was to the point where I wondered if it was the taste I remembered. I was disappointed because I found it again after a long time. I don't know if the taste has changed or if I wasn't in good condition today, but at least I didn't feel the emotion of the past.

The latest to make it to the Michelin guide and perhaps explains the queue. Deceptively simple - beef with soup and served with a healthy dose of minari (aka water celery) and a clear departure of the usual jiggae one would be accustomed to in Seoul. This far more refreshing and nourishing. The stock is light & refreshing but packed full of flavor. A dash of pepper and it goes up a notch. The thin slices of beef is what you expect from hanwoo, tender and beefy. The beef tartar is as good as it gets - mix in the yolk with a healthy serving of sesame oil, layer it with thin slices of minari stems and pear and finally wrapped with gamtae - you get a umami bomb.

Went there because it’s listed in the Michelin Guide. The meat was fresh, but the menu was a bit limited. Worth a try if there’s no or small line and you’re just going for the experience

Another Michelin Star restaurant. No disappointment here. Food was little picker than other places, but the taste was excellent. Worth the effort to go.

This restaurant is fantastic but very popular. We went on a Friday at 5 pm and had to wait about 40 minutes. It’s the best place to enjoy minari—highly recommended, but be prepared for a long wait.

It was Monday evening but still 1 hour wait time. Minari (water parsley) raw beef bibimbop was covered with green minari oj the bed of cooked daikon rice. Seasoning was very minimal which was fantastic. Was a little on the sweetside. Boiled beef jungol was fantastic again with lots of minari. We finished with noodles at the end.

Michelin rated Korean gukbap (rice soup) restaurant. Come here for hearty entrees. Definitely try the yukhoe bibim for something different. It’s the beef and rice that shine here.
