"Stellar gelato near the MAXXI This tiny natural gelato shop opened behind the Maxxi (the Zaha Hadid-designed museum for 21st century art) to rave reviews in the summer of 2011. The gelataio uses Italy’s best hazelnuts and pistachios, Amedei chocolate, milk from a biodynamic producer, organic fruit, and high quality sugar to make his intense gelato flavors. Pistacchio and chocolate are a classic and unbeatable combo, but look for seasonal flavors like persimmon, mandarin, and pear in the fall and strawberry and berries in the summer."

Best gelato in Rome. Period. Pistachio flavour is the best I have ever had anywhere in the world.

The crazies that run this place have decided kids can now only get one and not two flavors. Why do you hate kids so much? Also, their remodel is super dangerous- check the photos. I’m sure someone will be seriously injured soon… just give it time.

ONE OF THE BEST IN ROME! Dark chocolate and Pistachio is a must pick of the day or of the decade. Don’t forget to add the panna it’s free!

Best gelato hands down! Pistachio, the dark chocolate (there are three to choose from) are brilliant! The six of us were awed…this is what you dream of when thinking about Italian gelatos!

I love gelato. Therefore, I am very critical about it - it needs to be perfect! I had a cone with 3 flavors: Ricotta and Banana were very good. But PISTACHIO was - by far - the best Pistachio I've ever had! This alone make the detour worth!

Best gelato around!! Staff were so friendly and are super helpful to English travellers! Highly recommend! We literally didn’t go to any other gelateria in our week long trip!

Best ice cream in Rome hands down! Never trust anyone who says "la Romana" is the best they know nothing... Not exactly a prime location but could be paired to a visit at the zaha hadid designed MAXXI and the Renzo Piano designed auditorium....if you wish! If you're very lucky you may even catch a short glimpse of the famous contemporary philosopher "Dibba" who lives just around the corner!

Very good ice cream, light and creamy, smooth with very small ice particles so it doesn't freeze your tongue. Not too sweet, balanced taste and texture without any unpleasant aftertaste or odd sensations (like in many other places who use artificial flavors or additives). Plain & basic classic flavors without toppings, but all well made.

Yelp
My first brush with Neve di Latte was when we went to the MAXI, the Zaha Hadid designed modern art museum. Their store was just around the corner--and perfect for a post-museum pick-me-up. Neve di Latte sells the best sorbetto we had in the entirety of Italy. (I'm non-dairy, but my husband felt the same way about the gelato flavors!) Their flavors are innovative and rely entirely on seasonal and local ingredients. I had pomegranate and blackberry on one visit, and coconut and mandarin on the second visit. Always say yes to a spoonful of homemade whipped cream on top. Both locations have space for perching while you eat, but just be sure to clean up the space behind you! WiFi available if you really need to post to Insta while you eat...

Yelp
We wandered in here because it was close to our hotel. Everything is organic. Interesting flavors included miel di manuka, avocado, and banana. In the end, we got tiramisu, neve di latte (like milk/ cream), and the caffe arabica - super intense. So good but so caffeinated that I had a hard time finishing it. Still - it would be awesome if I had some of this in my fridge - I would eat it for breakfast every morning. Neve di latte It was €3 for 3 scoops in a cup. It's nice that you can sample, especially since we went during an odd time when it wasn't super busy. They have a good amount of seating - the place is pretty good. Also there's free WiFi.

Yelp
Little more expensive and out of the way but this location is a must try. Excellent quality gelato.

Yelp
Mother/daughter trip to Italy -- one of our goals is to find, and eat, the best gelato she has to offer. Our quest took us to Neve di Latte today - Wow! You can tell that they are using the freshest ingredients to make some of the creamiest I have ever had. I had a scoop of the Ricotta and a scoop of Pistachio. The clear, fresh taste of the pistachio nut was INCREDIBLE. My daughter had the hazelnut - loved the ganache mouthfeel and the whole hazelnuts... We will continue our quest, but this one is on top!

Yelp
Good ice cream, service, and price - no bathroom though. I did not see tourists- everyone was speaking Italian which is a good sign that locals know about this place.
