New Aegli Resort Hotel

NOT 4 STAR|I booked directly with hotel confirmation email information check in was 13:00hrs, however when we arrived a hotel was told it was 15:00hrs.|We went to use pool which was awful, mats on the sunbeds were filthy, the whole area looked run down and dirty, nothing like photos.|The room was a good size and clean, but like the rest of the hotel tired and tatty, broken toilet seat, cracks in tiles.|At breakfast there was quite a choice, of cheese, salads meats, cakes etc hot food of eggs and sausages which were always like Luke warm, but worst of all tinned fruit!, , also if you came down in last hour a lot of food ran out and didn't get replenished, we paid €14 each for breakfast and it just wasn't worth it for us, l did complain and was given fresh fruit every morning. There is a lovely bakery 5 mins walk away and could get a lovely breakfast there.|The beach area, again sunbed mats filthy, lots of bits of rubbish around sun beds. No beach or pool towels provided.|On a more positive note the bar and restaurant staff were lovely.|But l wouldn't recommend hotel.

The reception was not too nice, and we would like to have more information about what services were available at the hotel. The reception could had offered too some information about the island, or activities around the hotel. It was rainning, and we were desapointed and had to search ourselves for activities, findind on the hotel website some options that werent explained to us. The wifi on our room was bad. The hotel is in a big need of renovation. The "New Aegli" isnt new anymore! The decoration is dated, the fake flowers on the room make it look bad. I would like to have a duvet on the bed, that was not available. The chairs matresses on the pool and beach are in bad condition. The pool bar was closed when we arrived, and nobody told us about it when we checked in. The gym is in bad condition, and was dirty. The biggest point to the hotel was the confy matress, the location and the price.

Will find ways to take more from your pocket. Not long after breakfast is finished and while coffee dispenser still worked, they charged us 3.5 Euro for taking a second coffee. After we complained they gave us coffee from the coffee maker instead. Room does not come with complimentary water and need to keep buying water given the hot weather. Breakfast ok, but lunch and dinner selection is minimum and if you have half board you don't get much really. Expensive overall. Another couple we know cancelled more than 24 hours earlier and although told by booking.com they will get 50% off the hotel denied they were notified. Last but not least good luck using the toilet seat as it's is in a tight place not comfy for bigger person. Toilet seat dropped off and I had to bolt it back in place. Can't fault the balcony view it was good.

Unfortunately I wouldn't recommend this hotel in Poros. Cons: -Overall feel - it feels like a hospital -Front desk rude. -rooms and bathroom very dated. The bathroom is suffocating. Pros: Location as it's on the beach and close proximity to restaurants. You do get access to beach chairs and umbrella but the hotel side of the beach isn't great, I would recommend walking slightly further down and paying for a much better experience. Staff at pool area very pleasant

Location is perfect , bakery and moto rentals very close and water sports rental 3 minute walk . beach cross the street , close to downtown 25 minutes walk or 6 euro with cab . Many stores near by . 2 parking lots available . Pool is ok . The view of rooms and lobby is stunning . Cleaning ladies do an amazing job . I gave it a 3 because of the rooms , rooms sometimes had an unpleasant odor did not last long , also the water in shower is very cold we stayed 4 nights and we only had hot water once , the shower had no water pressure to very weak water pressure. Rooms have a safe and a small fridge . Gym available opens at 7am , very small and very old equipment.if you have a work out routine this is not for you .

Thanks to the hotel for their kindness! We stayed at the hotel a little towards the end of the season. Considering the time, the level of service and amenities was good enough. Ladies from 🇫🇮🫶

Extremely disappointing and unethical I had to cancel my stay due to a serious medical emergency involving my child. Reception confirmed they received my request and forwarded it to management – yet I received absolutely no reply until the day of arrival. This feels like a deliberate attempt to run down the clock and charge me as a no show. Thankfully, I cancelled via Booking.com in time, but the lack of compassion and basic professionalism was shocking. I would strongly advise others to think twice before booking here.

Lovely hotel with wonderful views. Food and drinks are excellent at very reasonable prices. Rooms are so good and comfortable with breathtaking sea views. Breakfast coffee, pastries, fruit and eggs etc + views so good. Stayed here many times and will continue in the future. Peter from UK
