Excellent Year round market. Many unique vendors, great produce in season, yummy baked goods, amazing cottage-homemade foods & goods& crafts. Shout out to Beamans Fork goat milk soap & lotion, TJ's bee farm honey, & the harb/plants vendor (sorry I forgot your name). I usually park along the railroad track area or find on street parking around Tryon Palace. The building is also used for other events which is a wonderful use of the facility. One of my favorites is the Plein Air art show. The New Bern Farmers Market is an important and integral part of the community.

A customer where I work at literally made my day , I was asking the nice lady how to make biscuits, because I wanted one so bad !! My mother use to make me and my other siblings homemade biscuits ❤️ I had no clue the nice lady would return back to my job site looking for me to give me one of these delicious cheese biscuits yum “ they definitely bring back so many memories when I was a child , I didn’t catch the very generous nice persons name but she definitely put a smile on my face 😊

A local told me about the market and talked it down a bit. But, it turned out to be large and complete with a bathroom! Everyone was super friendly too! I met a local third generation farmer named Artis who sold me some henpecked mustard greens, regular mustard greens and turnip greens along with sharing his personal family recipe! What an amazing life and soul Artis has! Thank you! Life is delicious with local fresh greens from the farmers market!

I came from out of town and it was a lively way to spend the day. It is every week and a requirement for the vendors is products are made personally. It is pet friendly, everyone had their furry friends along for the day. I am not sure if the vendors change, and I came away seeing all there was offered so a day is all that is needed.

Amazing as always! I really love seeing all the many crafts, produce vendors, and pure talent sprinkled throughout the downtown market. I never leave empty-handed and for good reason because some things are too good to pass up... or maybe it's the good vibes, beautiful smiles, and friendly faces that are impossible to ignore 👌💚😊 Don't walk... RUN down to the Farmers Market and support local business!

Yelp
Such a neat little find on Saturday mornings in downtown New Bern! Nice assortment of crafts and handmade items from jewelry to soaps, lotions & candles to face masks to decor to wreaths! This horseshoe wreath came home with us! It will get a white coat of paint and hang on our front door! Can't wait until Spring when we start to see more plants and Summer when we see more produce! A few food trucks serving to, so quite the treat!

Yelp
I love this Farmer's Market! They always have great items from food, plants, produce, books, and creative creations! I wanted to get the poop bag for our Italian greyhound, but my husband said no (meh!)

Yelp
We saw lots of things today that were cool and unusual. Lots of home made goods .. veggies, meat vender, there was a much room vender selling different home grown mushrooms you cook and eat. A few coffee roasters, a couple that made trinkets out of corks and wall hanging too. There was a vendor with home made pork skins in a variety of flavors too.. handmade soaps, candles, jarred creamed honey, just a lot to see and sample. I'm glad we drove down. They had more vendors here than mum fest it seemed like lol.. and everyone was very nice and helpful. There's an indoor covered section and enough room on side for many more vendors.

Yelp
Not at all what I expected. I'm a huge fan of farmer's markets. The first time I went to the one in Raleigh, I thought I'd died and gone to heaven. There's nothing like farm-fresh produce. It tastes so much better than that junk they try to peddle at the local Food Lion. All that being said, I was more than a little disappointed in the New Bern Farmers Market. Its nice, but where is all that beautiful, ripe produce? I couldn't even find Dixie Lee field peas! This market is more of a craft fair than a farmers market. They have plenty of arts and crafts, baked good and trinkets, but very little in the way of fruits and veggies. There were two or three stands selling a modest selection of melons and peppers, but that was about it. I would recommend this market for artsy types, but not for us good ol' southern boys looking for collard greens and okra. For that, you'll need to drive your veggie-lovin' self to Raleigh!

Yelp
I have been to this market around once per year over the past five years or so, so it has been neat to see how much it has grown. Also, I live in SoCal, land of daily epic farmers markets, yet still I have a soft spot for this market. I feel like it has a lot of potential. To be honest though, there isn't much in the way of actual "farmers" at this market. Last time I was there, I counted 2 or 3 tables with produce, and that's it. HOWEVER....It could also be due to the off-season, though. The majority of tables are crafts--lots of cheap jewelry and crocheted and sewed things that you don't really need. There was even a table selling doll clothes. There's homemade soap, local honey, wine, baked goods, salsa (yummy), and sausage. But listen: the SAUSAGE IS WHAT YOU NEED TO BUY. I don't know if I can remember having sausage as delicious as this. It is SO GOOD and cheap. Buy some and cook it up. SO GOOD. Overall, this market is definitely worth a visit if you're in the area. There are some gems!

Yelp
Wonderful farmer's market with lots of vendors who are happy to chat. From fresh veggies, locally made cheeses, salsas, crafts, honey, baked goods and more! I always leave with several purchases. It's a nice way to start a Saturday morning.

Yelp
I go to the new bern farmers market every Saturday. There are a variety of venders, fresh fruits and veggies, canned goods, baked goods, crafts, farm eggs and meats, and homemade soaps!!! Everyone is very friendly!

Yelp
Great place to support local business. Lots of produce, meats, wines, honey and other handmade items. Everyone's nice and they give out tons of samples! Worth the drive. It's a bit crowded due to the small size but perfect if you don't want to make a day out coming here. Plenty of choices too.

Yelp
Wow, what a nice Farmers Market. I go to this market often. They always have a nice selection of vegetables from local farmers. You can actually go visit these farmers at their farms! They even have a wonderful group of crafters and their items are all hand made. You can really tell that this market looks for local farmers and crafters.
