We booked them to shuttle ~20 guests to and from our wedding. To me they were difficult to communicate and book with, it felt disorganized, but I looked past it because they were cheaper than the other nearby shuttle service.
On the way back from our wedding at night to drop our guests back off in downtown Beaufort, there was very inclement weather (which was forecast days in advance) and the driver turned too soon and got the trolley stuck tilted in a ditch. He apparently told the passengers that he just couldn't see. Our guests had to evacuate on the side of the road in the rain and darkness, it was extremely dangerous and scary. We had to stop the party back at the venue to frantically arrange sober emergency pick-ups for our stranded guests. It was mortifying for me. My correspondence with the company afterward has felt cold and corporate to me, not the 'small town, family friendly' feel we're used to around here. From our emails, it seemed to me like the general manager was attempting to put the blame on us for continuing to have a wedding in bad weather (what else were we going to do? our guests spent a lot of money to be there that weekend) instead of owning that they should not have sent their trolley and driver in those conditions. The manager admitted that their trolleys have limited visibility and maneuverability in darkness and rain, so we're not sure why it was sent. That put everyone in danger. All the folks who drove in personal vehicles managed the route safely, but clearly the trolley could not handle heavy rains, so we wish the company would have been responsible and safety-oriented and just cancelled the trolley service due to the weather forecast instead of going through with it and creating this mess. Attaching a photo where you can see the trolley incapacitated (behind the stop sign). We are so thankful that miraculously nobody was seriously injured, but heartbroken this occurred.
