New Chambers

Nothing super flashy at first glance, but the more you look, the more the details hit. It’s got that clean, symmetrical vibe with a soft yellow facade and these neat classical touches that tie in perfectly with the rest of the park. You can tell it was built to blend in rather than stand out, but in a way that feels intentional and kind of classy.

A small palace in the Sanssouci palace that contains almost only sleeping rooms. Nicely renovated rococo style with enormous mirrors and a lot of gold bareliefs. The chandeliers are also very beautiful and fantastic. Not very crowded even on Saturday and only for 6 euros. I recommend.

Formerly an orangery, this building was turned into an extension of the main palace to house guests. The interiors are very beautiful but there isn't much besides the floor, walls and ceiling to looj at inside. All that said, worth a visit if you've bought the combined ticket.

Really beautiful place and a place you should visit when in potsdam worth taking the audio guide tour offered in many different languages throughout the different rooms.

They were constructed for King Frederick the Great of Prussia from 1771 to 1775 as a guest palace. The chambers replaced an orangery, which had been built at that site in 1747 on plans by Georg Wenzeslaus von Knobelsdorff. The building is a highpoint of the late style of Frederican Rococo. In the middle of the building, under the cupola, lies the largest room, the Jasper Room.

A lovely place with some beautiful pictures, marvelous sculptures and awesome architecture!

The building is absolutely beautiful but unfortunately the person in charge of this building is incredibly rude, disrespectful and unkind to her customers. After buying our tickets, my partner and I were taking photos together in these rooms, as we have done dozens of times before, making no noise (when there was no other guests)… images which are only for ourselves, taken on our phones… Suddenly the boss storms in, telling us we have essentially outstayed our welcome and insisted that our images are for commercial use and that we must pay her to rent the rooms privately. We’ve literally never made a single penny from a photo we’ve taken and my partner has spent more than hundreds of euros visiting these rooms over the years. Not to mention how many other people have visited these rooms on our recommendation. I’m so disappointed about this unfortunate interaction, I won’t be recommending to anybody else from now on. The other staff members were very kind and reasonable.
