Shin Furano Prince Hotel

My family and I were in Hokkaido for a vacation, and chose this hotel because of its ski resort. This hotel is absolutely amazing, the accommodations were lovely, the food was great, the onsen was nice, and the ski resort was superb. One thing I love about this hotel is that they have a variety of cuisines and restaurants, rather than just one fixed restaurant for all guests. The ski resort is a must to visit, as it is absolutely phenomenal. The view from our hotel room was also amazing. Overall amazing experience!

Shin Furano Prince Hotel is definitely worth the price for the overall experience it offers. The hotel has several restaurants with good menu selections, though it’s best to make reservations in advance to secure your preferred dining time, especially during peak season. We thoroughly enjoyed the snowmobile experience, and there are plenty of other activities available at Snowland for guests who want to make the most of winter in Furano. Although we didn’t try skiing this time, the ski facilities are well set up and would certainly be an experience worth trying. One of the hotel’s biggest advantages is its accessibility. A local bus route starts and ends at the hotel, making it very convenient to travel to Asahikawa, Biei, and JR Furano Station without hassle. Ningle Terrace is located just outside the hotel, and this was one of the main reasons we chose to stay here. Being able to visit Ningle Terrace both during the day and at night is something you simply can’t do on a day tour from Sapporo, and it truly adds to the charm of the stay. Overall, it was a great stay that combines comfort, convenience, and unique winter experiences in Furano.

Where do I begin. First off, the translations offered in their materials are either not accurate or they don’t follow their own rules. Tip 1: For buffet dinner they say you can call to reserve from 4pm on the same day but when you call nothing is available until later. Then I realize they don’t follow their own rules so I book dinner for the next day at the time I want. Tip 2: buy the ski tickets the day before online for an early bird discount. Go down to the machines and scan the qr code and get your tickets. You do NOT need to exchange these for an ‘IC’ card as stated on the website. You can use these tickets at the ski gates. The onsen is located a very far walk from the main building with stairs or elevators needed to go down, up then up. The outdoor bath is the most crowded I have ever experienced in Japan. Even more people than Cortina at Hakuba. I think there were over 20 persons in the outdoor onsen. Avoid the peak times at all costs. Skiing conditions were very good, but became icier and choppier later in the day. Lifts were old school and very slow. The gondola was the fastest but not very frequent. It is disappointing as well that more runs were not open. There was enough base and snowfall to open other areas. 12F Japanese restaurant was excellent with a wonderful 180 panorama. Buffet dinner was below average for a mass resort hotel.

We had a pleasant one-night stay at Shin Furano Prince Hotel during our week-long tour of Hokkaido. This cosy resort hotel is set on the mountain slopes of Furano Ski Resort, surrounded by beautiful forests and natural wilderness. Just next to the hotel is Ningle Terrace, a charming artisan village of rustic wooden shops, which creates a picturesque and romantic atmosphere for an evening stroll and shopping. Our twin room was reasonably spacious, very clean, and comfortable. Breakfast was served buffet-style in a large banquet hall, offering a good variety of dishes. Service throughout our stay was friendly. Overall, we had a delightful stay and would recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Furano.

Great hotel for winter vacation. We managed to get 1 night stay at this hotel. Definitely not enough. Friendly service, great amenities. And a lot of winter activities to explore. Fast Wifi in the room is a big plus. I hope to come back in the future.

This hotel was located up a hill about 15 min from town . There was a huge parking lot in front of the hotel . |Check in was very slow . Perhaps the receptionist was new and we had to prompt him when and where to have dinner, which directions the lifts were , where were the onsens . He also could not book 9 pax for dinner at 530 pm till another receptionist stepped in . We were really exasperated with him ! |The rooms were big , two twin beds with lots of space for luggage . The aircon was set to heater only and we had to open the windows to get some fresh air . Toilet was big and toiletries were great . Wifi was adequate. |Dinner was good with crab legs and sashimi. |No free alcohol though . |The Onsen baths were located after taking 4 separate elevators to reach from our rooms . The Onsen was very crowded probably because the hotel was a big hotel . No scrubbing gel was available in the onsens . |Ningle terrace was accessible by a short walk from the hotel but closed at 745pm. |Overall a good stay if you come in the low season .

The hotel is large and clearly caters to coach tours , there were lots of coaches and big groups of people during our stay. The bed was comfortable and the food was exceptional, which we really appreciated.|However, at £215 for one night for two people, we didn’t feel it offered good value for money. We've stayed in many nicer hotels for less. The constant presence of coach parties made the atmosphere feel crowded and less relaxing, which took away from the overall experience.

Just stay 3 days 2night on this hotel. Overall experience is so great. We would like give a thumb up for the front desk staff, Ari. She is very helpful and also patient to explain each of the item to us. We are sorry that I lose her name card, but we rmb her name😊. Thank you Shin Furano Hotel and all the staff there👍🏻

We stayed at New Furano Prince hotel last week for one night while visiting Furano. The staff was extremely friendly and the lovely girl at front desk spoke English very well! I wish I remembered her name. The hotel itself is extremely large and is really a resort. We had a nice large room (by Japan standard) with a view of downtown Furano. Our room had two twin beds and a couch that could serve as a third bed. The location was ideal as it was a quick 10 minute drive to downtown. The hotel has many amenities like the onsen, Ningle Terrace, park golf and a garden just to name a few. The onsen was great and was never crowded. Two sets of onsen attire were provided in our rooms for our use. There is an indoor bath, outdoor bath, sauna and cold pool. Instructions were clear and in English if you are not familiar with onsen behavior. Please be aware that many onsen do not allow you to enter if you have tattoos. The onsen was well kept and very relaxing after a long day of walking. We enjoyed walking around Ningle Terrace, an area filled with cute shops in little cabins and a coffee house. The outdoor atmosphere was so relaxing and you could hear the birds chirping and water trickling down the stream. We also enjoyed an early morning walk and saw a couple going up in a hot air balloon! How fun! It looks like New Furano Prince has many activities for their guests to enjoy. We also booked an in room massage! The front desk girl helped us set up an appointment. How wonderful to get a massage in the comfort of your own room. No frills, just a good massage for a great price. We did not eat at the hotel breakfast buffet, but did grab some pastries at the bakery before we hit the road. Get the Furano Melon pan! Oh so good! Check out was a breeze and we have no complaints about service. The only thing I could ask is they update the rooms a bit. The rooms were very clean but could definitely use some updating. Other than that, we had a wonderful stay!
