The only good thing about this place is its location. It’s perfectly located to the touristy places like the colosseum and trevi fountain. That being said, the rest of the experience was HORRIBLE. The staff are incredibly disrespectful (from the second I entered the hostel to check in they were insulting me and making fun of me in Italian, which for their misfortune I understand). We’d have to drop our keys every time we left, which also included the key to a locker (you couldn’t put your own lock on it), and whenever one had to approach them to request them or just drop them off, we’d be greeted with attitude, having them thrown to us as if we were being a bother. Cleanliness is alright, could have a better job but everything around isn’t the best. AC was not working whatsoever even though we asked the front desk (specifically the guy with the glasses) and we were dismissed with a “that sucks”. Everything is an extra charge: do you want to leave your bags after check out? It has to be €5 in cash. Towels? €7 for 1 towel. No soap, the beds were uncomfortable, bed sheets not too clean… and although it does give the vibe that it might be a youth hostel, it is not whatsoever. You could easily be paired with two 50+ year old men alone and god forbid you tell them you didn’t feel too safe with them because they’ll charge you €25 to change rooms, even after you give them evidence that the person staying with you is being creepy and making you uncomfortable. No wifi, again no AC (we were averaging 36 degrees) and it just was a bad experience overall.
Please save your money, save your patience, and solo girl travelers, save yourself from a problem and book somewhere else. This place is not it whatsoever.
