"New Harmony, Chinatown The Loft District by True Hand Society. New Harmony is the place for vegan and veggie Chinese food. They’ve been around forever and have cornered the market. Order the sesame peanut noodles. Seriously you can’t go wrong with any item. Even the cheeseburger, trust us."

I have frequented this restaurant many times each year since 2014 and I'm always impressed and satisfied with the quality and taste of the food. Food is always served promptly, fresh, and hot. The mock meat is very impressive. As a meat eater, I love coming here for a break from meat and dairy. The food is a amazing option for vegans and vegetarians. The lunch specials are a great deal because you get a main course with a nice hot & sour or dumpling soup or vegetable pancake.

They have a pretty good lunch special for around $8-$9. I chose the sesame chicken that came with an appetizer - choice of soup or spring roll or vegetable pancake. The meal was delicious and the service prompt. There is plenty of seating. The place does look a bit tired and is in need of an update, however this is one of two restaurants in center City serving Chinese vegetarian. There is a $10 credit card minimum with a $0.25 surcharge for payments below $10.

I liked the food a lot but the service is the worst in my life. We were there for 2 hrs and 15 minutes to get 3 dishes. They only have 1 chef and 3 waiters in the whole place. No hostess. The food was great though. If you are in a bit of a rush then do not come. But if you are not ina rush then you will really enjoy this place.

Our absolute favorite place to eat in Philadelphia. Not only is it fun to walk through Chinatown to get to this restaurant, but everything here is vegetarian. It’s delicious and the service is always fast. The dim sum is a must!

Ming and his family have brought Philly the best veg Chinese food for over 2 decades. Come here with a big group and get the all-you-can-eat dim sum. It it awesome.

If you are living the vegan life in Philly (or passing through) you GOTTA get here as soon as the grocery planning allows. This is no-frills delight coming at you with pages of menu items to choose from. Everything we ate (pork buns, chicken ginseng soup, sesame chicken, Buddha’s delight pan fried noodles) was tasty, fresh, and piping hot. What a treat!

The food had good flavor but the buffet service was lukewarm. It seems like it would’ve been very good if it had been hot.

My vegan daughter loves this place so I love it too. Good service, food and prices
