New Himachal house, Kedarnath

Worst place.they are fraud our booking was in new Himachal house they provided us unhygienic and dirty rooms in old Himachal house when we complained owner was not willing to listen and he was yelling at us.we immediately left the place as a courtesy he didn't refund us also

Very bad and cannot stay at all …. Really no water area ….. the in charge 8000 rupees for 1 room ….. 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡

Given situation at the location, one can not expect any better than this. I mean almost all other are more or less similar.

In India, the Sarais Act of 1867 grants the public the right to use hotel washrooms and request free water without any hindrance. The Act requires lodges to provide free drinking water for both humans and animals, as well as toilet facilities, to the public. During my recent visit to Kedarnath on May 27, 2024, I observed a group of people being denied access to the washroom at this sacred site. It is disheartening to see hotel staff prioritizing personal gain over helping those in need. The Indian government should take swift action against such establishments and ensure that the rights of the public are protected and respected.

We recently stayed at New Himachal House in Kedarnath and had a mixed experience. The location is excellent, offering Kedarnath temple view which is a big plus for pilgrims. Our room was basic but clean enough for a short stay. However, there were some drawbacks. The hot water supply was inconsistent, making it difficult to enjoy a warm shower after a long day. And, the menu options were somewhat limited. Overall, New Himachal House is an average choice for staying in Kedarnath. While the location is good, the lack of amenities need improvement. It's a reasonable option if you're primarily focused on visiting the temple and exploring the area.

Unhygienic room, third class service, no water and rude staff

During our pilgrimage to Kedarnath Temple in October 2024, we had the pleasure of staying at Hotel New Himachal House, located in close proximity to the temple. Our experience at this quaint hotel was nothing short of delightful, offering a perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and hospitality. One of the standout features of Hotel New Himachal House is its unbeatable location. Some of the rooms even offer views of the temple from their windows, allowing guests to immerse themselves in the spiritual ambiance of the surroundings. The hotel's old-world architecture and cozy rooms exuded a sense of charm and character, providing a peaceful retreat after long days of exploration. Despite the modest size of the rooms, they were well-maintained and offered all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. What truly set Hotel New Himachal House apart was the exceptional service provided by the staff. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality, and the staff went out of their way to ensure that we felt welcome and well taken care of. Our request for extra blankets to combat the cold was promptly accommodated, and the staff even arranged for hot water in the morning to help us freshen up before starting our day. In conclusion, our stay at Hotel New Himachal House was a memorable and enriching experience. With its prime location, cozy accommodations, attentive service, and good food, it provided the perfect base for our pilgrimage to Kedarnath Temple.

Very congested, unhygienic room. Blankets were full of dust. Charged 5k for a double bed room. Only plus point is, it's very near to sacred temple.
