A wonderful old hotel perfectly located at the Old City, just steps to Mamilla Mall, and across from the Tower of David. A large rooftop terrace to view Jerusalem that is lovely with tables and chairs and umbrellas …comfy beds and rooms cleaned every day; a breakfast with many tempting dishes, coffee, cereals, eggs made to order if you like; but mostly, the family that runs this hotel is very hospitable, anxious and happy to help in any way, and make you feel at home. Everyone is most kind and welcoming! All in all, a very comfortable stay. There is even a hairdresser just outside of the entrance, and he is very good!

What an amazing hotel! Colonial style old building with a perfect fit to the Old Jerusalem. Best possible location and amazing friendliness. Very clean and with fantastic local healthy anf plentiful breakfast. Remember to go to the rooftop for a great view over old Jerusalem and the Mount of Olives. Just by the entrace to the hotel in the courtyard there is an equally fantastic restaurant. Try the lamb chops!

Historic authentic hotel. Managed by the Christian Patriachy. Fair prices for a great location. Light breakfast, owners adjust and add according to wishes. Parking is available in the near Mamila mall. Spacious public space for guests to relax and mingle.

The New Imperial Hotel is the best hotel in the Old City. The staff are welcoming and friendly, showing the typical Palestinian hospitality. The food is amazing and the atmosphere is old style and beautiful. It's like travelling into the past. I'd definitely stay here again.

It's historical, small but affordable. Staff awesome, room great, first night here, everything went to plan. No elevators but mild stairs.

I stayed here for 5 days in a single room only meant for one person and it was great.||The building is located right next to the Jaffa Gate which I believe is the only gate where taxis can drop you off at. It is a about:||- 8-12 minute walk to Masjid Al Aqsa|- 7-10 minute walk to the Western Wall|- 7-10 minute walk to the Holy Church of Sepulchre||The hotel entrance is down alley that's under the hotel. Not on a street. Just look for an opening that has 3 bars in the ground. Or just ask a shopkeeper, they are nice and will know.||The accommodations are nice, but rustic. It's an older building in the old city, so just set your expectations lower than say a hotel in Europe or the States.||However the hotel staff charm and knowledge is unbeatable. They are so nice and have resources (taxis, local guides, where to eat, etc) all ready for you if need be. And it feels personal, as if they used all these services themselves.||The rooftop is nice and perhaps nicer when it's not summer with the sun blazing out. I would suggest if they could get like a cover so people could sit, that would be great.||They only offered breakfast when I was there and it was very nice. Very Mediterranean, but they had some dishes like asian fried rice, pasta, etc that were also not so traditional. In my opinion, very good for the area as it was light, fresh, and good for the weather.||It is a busy area so expect the classics of living in a city, but nothing unbearable in my honest assessment.||Remember you are going to be out most of the day seeing sites, eating, and enjoying the city that all you will really want is a nice cozy room for you to rest and reenergize in the morning.||Pro tip for all travelers: Bring a water bottle and fill at the station before you leave. It will save you some cash and keep you from being dehydrated while venturing the old city.

If you are looking for a place to feel at home, this hotel is the right place. My wife and I stayed for 10 days. A very pleasant experience, the staff that runs the facility are very kind, friendly and attentive to the guests. Thank you for making me feel like I was at home. |You are staying in a historic site that is close to the old and the new.

Where to begin...so many things to like about this hotel! Location CAN NOT be beat as you are literally steps inside the Yaffe Gate, able to watch to comings and goings of thousands of people all day long. From outside you may question this hotel as its exterior walls are hundreds of years old but once inside, it is a sea of tranquility. Very comfortable, well appointed, coffee and water available, super friendly and helpful front desk staff. I had a great room with a balcony facing the Jaffe Gate...excellent hot water pressure, clean...comfortable and yes, very quiet...even though I faced the street. Hotel has wonderful roof deck with great views and breakfast was included and well received! Thank you!||Short walk to the Western Wall and right near the Arab market, plenty to do in this area. At the time of writing of this review, tensions are relatively high in the Old City but I didn't seem nor hear any trouble over a couple of days there. As one guide told me "right now, there are more guns than tourists in Jerusalem"... Still an amazing, marvelous journey thru history not to be missed.||The New Imprerial Hotel is a great starting point...and prices are GREAT! Shalom!
