New Jersey Convention and Exposition Center

This year we were so disappointed with the Chocolate Expo. Last year's event was definitely much better. The first issue we had was having to pay $30 to enter when the event was almost over. We got there at 5:15pm, event ended at 6pm. Most of the vendors were already gone and the prices of said vendors were expensive. Most vendors didn't have a way to give you a receipt. The place looked a mess and there were not as many vendors as there were last year. I am not the only one that felt like this. My friend's that attended Saturday said that it looked empty compared to last year. The samples were not as good and sometimes of the vendors were not using gloves to touch the chocolate or food. The vibe was very different and the products were not as good. We were very disappointed. Plus they did not have enough handicap parking. Only a few in the front for such an event. Don't know if I'll attend next year, but i definitely will not be paying so much to get in, if I get there late because of work or church and most of their vendors have already left.

The family went to the dinosaur exhibit here yesterday and had an excellent experience. The exhibits, the activities, the organization, it was everything you would expect for a fun family outing. Food and gift shop set ups were well done.

Recently went to the NJ convention center for a pet event and it was great from the parking lot being big and the staff being friendly and helpful. Inside was very spacious and easy to walk around. Also very close to the highway so easy to get there.

When to the Elite Tuner Car Show! The car show was cool and they had cool merch. Only downside would be the terrible parking at the venue. I'd go back again but come early for a parking spot!

Excellent chocolate festival with so many great food and drinks.

Had a great time at Christmas con but the venue was freezing cold all day. Although there were plenty of people attending it was still extremely cold in the venue!

Pretty cool place for Events. So far I went for a Pet Expo and the NJ Boat Expo. Both wonderfully organized. Two cons is the parking lot, very poorly organized, needs to show lines, arrows etc better, tons of water puddles. Also the building is very hot both times I went. No need to have the heat going so strongly!!

Great Expo for Women. J Woww was one of the many Great Keynote speakers. Lots of different booths .

Staff was friendly! Will be back again if there is another convention here that I would go to.! I went to the New Jersey Horror Con. The only thing I was upset about was the panels were not listed(But that's not the convention center's fault).I missed the Hocus Pocus panel but got to see the Kane Hodder one. Convention Space was kind of smaller than what I'm used to for conventions. Space was nice & clean though.

Went for the Great Food Expo. Easy to find. Accommodating for lots of people. Bathrooms were decent. But parking was a PANDEMONIUM! Luckily, there is street parking! You're TRULY better off parking in the street... easier to get in and out!

Big place and very well organized , was there for the Golf event . They had nice vendors and plenty of other activities .

Good experience attending the boat show at the convention center. The venue was well suited for the event, providing ample space for the impressive range of boats and exhibits on display. I wish the dull lighting and the too hot temperature were better. This would have helped stay longer for sure, but given the selection of boats it wasn't the worst. The exhibitors were impressive, showcasing a diverse range of vessels, equipment, and services, and taking the time to answer all questions. I was able to take time and explore and learning about the latest trends and technologies. They also offered a range of informative and engaging seminars with expert presenters who provided valuable insights and expertise. Overall, I highly recommend the show to anyone interested in boating, whether you're a seasoned captain or just starting out.

We came here for Brickfest in April 2023 and we didn't know what to expect. Were there a lot of different types of custom Lego builds displayed? Yes. Was it fun for both adults and children? No. What's bad? Inadequate parking. Kids breaking off pieces of sculptures without parents caring. Lack of hand sanitizer. I hate events like these where kids and adults get mixed up. I would have liked all the events kids were doing - but have an adult area for it, as I want to believe adults are more careful, respectable, and therefore appreciate these plastic blocks better. I would have liked to actually hold a built Lego set and see if it's worth buying. There were these minifigs in small bags in the shopping area and they were being so manipulated it was getting out of hand - kids feeling them up to get a particular (rare?) figure. Prices were about the same from Lego.com but it would have been nice to see some of them out of the box.

Venue is pretty awesome. Went to both the 420 expo NJ and the Exxxotica 2022 conventions and had a solid time at both. Exotica was much better as it's been held numerous times previously while the 420 expo could been better.

I've been coming to this expo center since it opened. Today was the punk rock flea market and for the $10 entry fee there were plenty of vendors . My only disappointment is there is no area to sit and eat. Oh sure they have food trucks outside but once you navigate the long lines where do you eat?? I saw people sitting on the ground mostly. That's not acceptable. They could at least have some area designated for people to sit and eat. Apparently the young don't mind eating on the ground but what do older people do? Or handicap people? I decided to skip the food and eat after I left there. They really should address that.

The NJ Convention & Expo Center is host to many exhibitions throughout the year, and "to boot" a very nice facility in Middlesex County. This week was a Flower Show presentation and a great display of all kinds of flowers. Various local landscaping companies presented their displays while accentuating them with original unique designs. A very visual event!!!

Came here for the Women's Expo this year and I was impressed with the venue but not with the parking. Upon arriving, I saw cars parked on the street and had no idea what was going on. The lot was completely full two hours into the event. People were literally parking on the grass or anywhere they could really. Honestly, just from a business stand point they should cut the price on tickets and have a valet. That day I would've easily paid 20 dollars instead of driving around for the half an hour that I did trying to find a spot. Once inside the staff was really helpful. It was $10 dollars to get in which wasn't bad but I'm still sticking to my valet idea. The setup was great, bathrooms were clean. Everything was clearly labeled. What I love is that it's really huge and even with the crowds of people I never felt crowded. It's definitely a good spot for expos but my tip is to get there early for parking.

Rating is for its use a COVID vaccination super center. Couldn't be happier with the experience. National Guard was running the administration/registration side of the house while RWJBH staff handled the vaccinations and observation. It was remarkably organized and efficient. My appointment was for 2:30, and I showed up 30 minutes early as his my habit when going somewhere new for an important event. They guided me right in, and it was 11 minutes from walking in the door to getting the jab. I was walking back to my car by 2:30. Every single soldier and medical professional I came in contact with was helpful, friendly and caring. Positive experience, I'm recommending to all my friends and family that they try to get an appointment there.

Stay away from the greenberg train shows they have here . They falsely advertise the shows . No door prizes no workshops for the kids and zero guidance on the friday for setup . They sat and played on the phones the whole weekend . And the guy that runs the venue is not much better ... come out to the allentown PA shows . These shows are put on by train people for train people . Greenberg has become a money grab event ....

If you've ever been to a convention center in a city, be sure to lower your expectations when coming here. The NJ Convention & Expo Center claims to be able to accommodate up to 7,500 people, while actually only offering a tenth of that number of parking spaces. If you're a local attending a weekend event, be sure to arrive early because many parking spaces will already be occupied by trailers or service vehicles. The spaces between the different parking sections is unexpectedly narrow and full of blind spots, so take care when turning and exiting. Also note that the only convention center in Edison is buried deep within an industrial complex, with sporadic permanent signage that only indicates the general direction of the center--and not where to turn or how to exit. Sunfield Avenue is pretty remote, even for driving. If you're staying in a nearby hotel for a conference, you'll need to take a shuttle or drive, as walking is probably out of the question. The main entrance faces south, towards the Raritan River, so some uncomfortably strong winds are possible in the winter. The main lobby has three ticket booths, a coat check, and perhaps a table selling coffee and pastries. The inside of the convention hall also has at least two in-house food vendors (at convention center prices, of course).

Came here for the chocolate expo. The convention center itself is pretty big and spacious. Lots of parking spot options if you don't come after a big snowstorm, like we did, so that limited some spots. The chocolate expo itself was fun and full of yummy awesome treats. A lot of venders selling their product and giving away samples for people to try. They also had shows happening at timed slots that added to the entertainment. Overall, enjoyable day time trip. But don't think entry should be 20$ considering the amount of money you'd spend inside there. If you bought tickets online it would be 15$ but considering the added fees it would amount to the same price as getting it at the door.

This review is forJurassic Quest, hosted at this venue in December 2018. I took my 3 and 6 years old to the show. They had a blast, esp my 6 yrs old Dino lover. Bought tickets online for $20 per adult, $29 VIP for kids. There are $20 children tickets but that didn't include bouncers and some Dino rides. If you don't have a VIP bracelet, you pay one ticket each. $5 per ticket. VIP definitely the way to go. They also offer upgrade to VIP for $9 on site if you want. Face painting and green backdrop photo are not jncluded in VIP ticket. Face painting $5 which is a great price. TIP: Buy ticket online! Weekend tickets were sold out about a week before. Monday tickets were sold out 3 days before. The first thing I walked in was asked by a staff if I have tickets already. They won't let you in if you don't. Also leave your phone number for face painting first thing. It took us 1.5 hour wait. But they text you to give you updates. You don't have to stand on line. Parking lot is outdoor and plenty. We enjoyed: 'live' dinosaur appearances, baby Dino patting, arts and crafts ( include Fossil digging on a 3x2 inched block, fossil print making with plaster etc),bouncy house ( at least 5-6 of them), basketball/ football throwing with Dino themed, dino digs ( sand boxes) Dino rides( you have to actually climb a ladder stair to sit on top of the Dino ( see photo), of cos Dino exhibit with scheduled free tours, face painting, rides such as motorized cars and Dino scooters, multiple photo spots, gift shop etc. Food was sold on carts such as cotton candies, popcorns. Pretzel, hotdogs etc. price is very high of cos. Outside food is allowed. Stroller allowed. Facility is comfortable. Bathroom is clean except towards closing of the day. Atmosphere was wonderful. Kids holding Dino balloons and calling and patting the Dinos during shows. Conclusion: We ran out of time to try everything. We didn't get to do all crafts or Dino dig. We stayed from 1-8pm. My 3 years old fell asleep while waiting for the car to pull over when we left. Very fun experience especially the baby Dino and 'live walking' Dino shows. They get close to you and let you 'pat' them. Kids love it!! Yes. Will go again as long as my kids are not growing up too fast.

Attended the 2017 Chocolate Expo and was pleasantly surprised with the variety of items throughout (its not just chocolate!). And to my delight a pretty good selection of Vegan/Gluten free products. There were the typical brands such as Neuhaus but also mom and pop shops that could easily compete with those big brands. I tried a variety of the vegan/gluten free Chocolates and they were divine. The ooo's and ahhh's were loud enough to turn some looks our way, LOL! I tried some of the wines and wasn't thrilled by any of them except for the chocolate therapy wine....That bad boy came home with me! The other product that blew my mind was the Simply Beyond canned vegetables. This organic product extracts the oils from the vegetables and seals it airtight in a canister. I couldn't tell the difference from the actual vegetables, it was that natural! For food, I had lobster Mac and cheese which was very good and I also tried the spinach empanadas which was a bit on the bland side. Overall, glad I came to this and would definitely come back!

I came here for The Chocolate Expo, almost $20.00 entree fee from Eventbrite.com. About $15.00 with tax, not bad and worth every penny with the amount of free samples they handed out. Trust me you got your money's worth. It was very exciting to be surrounded by a showcase of chocolate. They had chocolate fondue, alcohol, pretzels, candy in all flavors. I was in heaven. I wasn't even a fan of dark chocolate until now. The location was huge, over 50 exhibits on chocolate and food. Enough space to have trade shows, banquets and even a concert. Which I'm sure they do. I know a bit about the area now and how to get there, I would return for another event. The Chocolate Expo was such a great turn out that there was hardly any parking. I had to park near a random building and walk about minutes to the actual center. Just made me wish I got there even earlier, but I got the chance to experience what the hype was all about. The staff were very friendly informed us of the upcoming Chocolate expo in New York, I kindly declined. I had enough chocolate for the year! Customer Service-5/5 Environment -5/5 Location-4/5

What can I say I was here for Exxxotica. Can you have a bad tie at Exxxotica? As for the venue the place is pretty cool. Parking was free and not a long walk to the venue, the place has a nice concessions area with an assortment of prepackaged salads and wraps and an assortment of hot foods like burgers, fries,chicken fingers etc with a seating area. Bathrooms both at the front and back of venue and plenty of room. Exxotica was absolutely great with a stage that kept changing from strip offs, twerk contests and a concert by Tone Loc of all people! We were with a group of 6 and everyone had a great time. We"ll be back next year.

Easy to find on the GPS. Ample parking for Sunday's Exxxotica 2016 event. Bathrooms located in front and back. Consession and juice stands with plenty of seating also located in the back. Local empanada joint also came to sell their goodies. Sorry, can't post any more pics, as they are all rated XXX!!! Go and find out for yourself! It's a great place to buy sex toys for sure. If you don't like pulling into a roadside sex shop and being seen, this is the place to do it, ask questions, and touch it. Vendors are so professional and very helpful. Very exciting and liberating experience to be there!

It was awesome. I think I had more fun than my son lol. But it was a fun mother and son day. A great surprise. Cool stuff to do, many things to buy and food was good.

Have been coming here for the Abilities Expo for several years but never reviewed the Expo Center. It is centrally located off Route 440. Parking is a bit of a pain, especially with events that are busy. There are several handicap parking spots in front. The space is a huge warehouse.There are bathrooms in the front and in the rear.

Here for the challenge of champions competition. The space is pretty big and clean. It's not the largest convention center and it's no Javitz. Notes: looks like they only accept cash here. Parking is tough. Cafe is expensive!

Awesome time over at the Greenberg Train Show! 2nd time there...very nice. Crowded, YES - but remember...it's a convention for Train enthusiasts!

This "convention center" if you can actually call it that, is awful! I have never been to a convention center before that is in the middle of nowhere. It's really just a large warehouse in an industrial park. There are no hotels or restaurants (or really anything) in walking distance and if you are a late arriver, you will probably have to park in a field somewhere and shuttle over. The worst part was being tired and wanting to go back to my hotel after a long day only to find that no Ubers would pick me up!! Will definitely be renting a car the next time I have to come here!

Though it doesn't look small from the outside, it is surprisingly big on the inside. It isn't hard to divide an expo up into many halls and rooms here. The only issue they have is with parking. It fills up quickly and excess ends up spilling onto the street where volunteers need to navigate.

3 stars due to the fact that the expo I went to today was very good (animal expo) but the Lady who was working the line for food was VERY rude. I'd give a 1 star if I could.. actually they were all rude. I was with my husband and my son, they took mine and my sons order ignored my husband. He had to ask 4 times for his meal. We paid , went down and ate. I got back up to fill the baby's cup with water and the lady at the register chased me down and told me there's "no free refills" I was explaining to her I wanted water for my sons cup and she told me water isn't free??? Where in America is water in any place that sells food NOT free??? She explained I had to either buy a water bottle or pay ANOTHER 4$ FOR WATER IN A CUP?

I just returned from the chocolate expo. Bought the tickets online and save a buck or two. When we arrived in the area we had no idea where it was. People were parked miles away but there were no signs anywhere. Finally we just kept driving and were able to park in the handicap lot. Thank goodness. Once inside we visited every single booth. Not everyone has samples but many do. I was tempted to get a grilled cheese from one of the food stands as soon as I walked in but resisted since it was $9 for a regular ole grilled cheese. What I did buy were chocolate covered pretzels, dill pumpkin seeds, tomato sauces, garlic and a maple cheddar dip, got milk yogurt and sweet potato dog treats. Actually I didn't really any chocolate except for pretzels but it's hard to buy it once you've been sampling it all day. Make sure you taste before you buy. For example I tried at least 4 different vendors with chocolate pretzels and they were awful except for one that was amazing. So I bought from them. I will definitely be back for this next year or if they have other events.

I went here on a Sunday afternoon with 4 of my younger cousins for the "Discover the Dinosaurs" show when I noticed that there was a "Toy & Train Convention" there as well. Thanks to groupon I once again purchased discount tickets and even got a couple of freebies thrown in. The dinosaurs exhibit was ummmm okay. To be honest it was really for younger children aged 3-9. My cousin were 12, 12, 13 and 6 and even though they had fun, a lot of fun activities they were not allowed to participate in due to their size (bouncy houses, slides etc...) We did receive free tickets to mine in the prehistoric caves which was really 3 tents set up with no lighting and the kids were allowed to dig for any gems and fossils they found inside the pockets. It was cute because they gave them head lamps which they absolutely adored. But after looking at the handful of animatronic dinosaurs available and mining, they were ready to go. Eventually one of them peeked through the tarp that divided the two exhibits and begged me to take them to the toy and train show. We exited the dinosaur exhibit and went next door to the toy and train show....it was so much fun. Toys I hadn't seen for years were on display and were for sale. Plenty of collectors items!!! Of course I couldn't leave without buying each of them a toy. The second show made the day because the dinosaur exhibit was a bit of bust. Overall both shows offered entertainment and fun for what would have otherwise been a lazy Sunday

It's quite large, but sometimes could use more space. Such was for the recent Super Pet Expo. The staff did a great job keeping people moving as well as keeping the floors clean from sudden pet accidents. The reason for the lower rating is due to the ridiculous parking situation. I never mind walking, but would have liked to have my car in the same town as the convention center. I had to park nearly a mile away. A parking garage would be nice.

Rating this as the COVID vaccine center. Upon arrival there were multiple personnel advising you where to go, where to stand in line and what you needed to show when you arrived at a station. The national guard is stationed there and lots of employees. I felt very safe and comfortable bringing my son for his vaccine. Everything was explained and after my son was jabbed we were directed to the 15 minute observation area with lots of nurses on stand by to ask questions or just to check on people while waiting. We were advised they had paramedics, EMT's and nurses on stand by in case of any adverse reactions which would not be likely due to my son having no allergies. My son attempted to use the restroom before his 15 minutes were up and was told sorry you have to wait we need to monitor you. I really appreciated the care the workers gave to making sure everyone was ok. It made me want to get up and shout yay you were vaccinated but I would have embarrassed my 18 year old son. We drove 1 hour to get here and I do not regret it. We are looking forward to his second vaccination shortly and to being fully vaccinated.

The event space was good wide open with lots of venders. I will come back to the next event here.

i went to the pet expo. it was so much fun! big place. my first time there. all the dogs were so cute! the vendors had really nice things. bought a bunch of stuff. loved it!

My son's football league held their fun day and awards ceremony here and as far as convention centers go this one was ok. It had a large open space with but the seating was very limited to the amount of people that were in attendance. Other than that a decent location to host such an event.

Came here for the NJ Comicon last month. A little out of the way, but plenty of parking and a good sized building make it enjoyable. They could have made the entrance instructions a little clearer but no problems otherwise.

I been here before for the Funk Master Flex car show which was hot. I came here for the Train and toy show hoping to find some HO scale slot cars but I didn't see any. It still was a good day since I found a locomotive that I wanted for a good price. They seem to have good events there and they keep it clean. Not as big as the Javits Center but big enough for a good size event. I will be back the next time they have something of interest.

Expo center located deep in an industrial park. Went here for the annual abilities expo which typical occurs in the northeast at this location around this time of the year. Parking is challenging when you have so many wheel chair users and they only can use the main entrance and there are no pathways between the different entrance sidewalks, just stones. This means that wheelchair users ride in the cart ways along with the large vehicles. Facility is relative new and in decent shape....plenty of space inside for this event.

Great venue for a convention. Perfect location for the Exxxotica Expo far enough away from anybody who might be offended yet easily accessible from many major roads nearby like the Garden State Parkway, NJ Turnpike, Rte's 287, 1 & 9.

I went to the reptile expo, in Edison NJ with my granddaughter. She had her heart set on a crested gecko well, the reptile exhibit was smooched to the back of the convention center with only 10 tables it was horrific. My granddaughter was so upset. Then after she was in tears because we couldn't purchase what she wanted I steered her to the butterfly exhibit. The guy Joe who ran the butterfly exhibit that charges 3 bucks to get in on top of what we paid to enter then goes and harasses me by calling me a liar because the butterflies were landing on my granddaughter and it wasn't to his liking, he said she was putting it on her. He was a very mean man! Embarrassed me and my granddaughter. Then I went to buy ice cream, and the cashier was another nasty human being. Why work at a place where there is people if your rude. The whole experience was horrible I will never ever go to that convention center in my life again.

Super Pet Expo in Edison, NJ- This is just a place you can go and bring your dog. There were way too few vendors. None of the big pet companies participate. I didn't find all that many rare or unusual pet items. It used to be better when it was an all pets expo, not just predominantly dog like it is now. The only show was the same diving dogs they have every year. A few years ago there was another show with some exotic animals that was better. They need way more vendors since you are paying $13 per person just to get in. There were too many household, roofing and kitchen vendors. They shouldn't even be allowed to participate. Overall, there was not enough to see or do for $13. Take your dog to petco and spend the $13 buying him or her a toy.
