New Living

Came here for a Sofar event and really liked it. The store itself was very clean and the beds looked very comfortable. Apparently there is something here about Free Naps. Not sure what that means, but I imagine it's a spot where you can come and take a nap? That would be a great concept.

I just bought a mattress and frame from New Living this past weekend, and it was quite possibly the most positive shopping experience I have ever had in my life. I was helped out by Nick and Yousef, and they were, simply put, two of the kindest and most generous sales persons I've ever encountered. They just seemed happy to be there and excited about the product. So not only am I happy to have a bed I love, but I associate it with a place and persons who are passionate about what they do. I cannot recommend New Living highly enough. Support small businesses y'all. Houston needs more places like this!

Great store with a very good selection of organic mattresses. Super staff--Kyle was very helpful and patient in answering all our questions and showing us different options. We had planned to shop around a bit but ended up buying our mattress without looking at any other stores. I also love the fact that this is a small, local business. Definitely worth checking out if you're looking for a new mattress.

I was looking for a natural, chemical-free mattress and had a great experience with New Living in Rice Village. We originally met with Kyle, the store manager, when visiting the store, and he provided a lot of useful information and input on our options. When ordering, I made a mistake in the size of bed ordered, but New Living was fantastic in asking me what I really wanted and providing what we had originally thought we were ordering. HUGE shout out to both Kyle and Mary Beth for wonderful customer service and going above and beyond what was needed for an awesome customer experience. Highly recommend if you want to support a small, locally-owned business with great customer service!

My wife and I love New Living! The employees are friendly, knowledgeable and seem to genuinely enjoy what they do. The Meaders brothers produce some beautiful pieces from locally harvested/reclaimed wood. We purchased a coffee table from them made of trees that were felled by hurricane Ike and always get compliments on how amazing it is. I use their Lobasol non VOC stains for any furniture I build, and we picked up organic bedding from them as well. I cannot recommend them enough and will continue to support their store as long as we're both around.

Really appreciate having a store in Houston that has such a high standard for clean living. Staff was friendly and helped me find a box spring and bed spread. Very satisfied customer here and recommend this store to anyone looking for organic, non-toxic materials and paints.

I loved my experience at Rest & Rec!!! They were knowledgeable, warm, and patient with my many questions!! And they understood that I needed to save for the bed that I wanted. One of the best things about them was that they loved to share what they knew, but didn't push as many people in sales do!

You spend 1/3 of your life sleeping. So it’s important to me to get a good Matress so I can have good sleep in return feel younger and age better. I was amazed by the knowledge this company has on mattresses and just health in genera. Beds are by far the most comfortable I’ve slept on I would highly recommend these organic beds.
