This place was perfect for some lunch in Nederland. Get an amazing Heavenly bar with an Italian Club and you’re all good. The pastries looked and tasted excellent. Both the Wild Turkey and the Italian Club sandwiches were perfect for a lunch. The staff were friendly as well with plenty of seating indoors and outdoors with a great menu to choose from. Worth a stop for lunch!

Stopped by after camping nearby on a long road trip from Arkansas-this place is fantastic! Quick and service was just lovely, great atmosphere and the pastries are AMAZING! Got an Almond Frangipane croissant, not usually a fan of almond croissants but this was incredible! Perfectly buttery and they even warmed it up for me. Must try spot if you wake up early enough!

Great burrito! Great coffee! Didn’t get any pastries but they look tasty. 🤌🏼

I tried it signature coffee. It was fantastic. I really recommend if you want to come here.

Old place with sticky tables, but my turkey Sandwich was good. I would sit next to the window because inside it’s pretty dark.

Google
Breakfast burrito was hot and delicious. The wild turkey was delicious bread was amazing turkey was juicy. For baked goods we had chocolate covered macaron, delicious sweet and good size. The heavenly bar, had excellent flavor and good balance of ingredients, the pecan coffee cake wasn’t great, dry and generally lacking coffee flavor, mostly is was just sweet. I like the caramelized sugar but overall it wasn’t something I’d order again. Service was fast but minus one star for the pile of orders with almost no organization. I accidentally grabbed someone else’s sandwich as it was set on top of my ticket with the other items I ordered.

New Moon Bakery and Cafe offers delicious pastries, fresh coffee, and a cozy atmosphere. With a diverse menu and friendly service, it’s a great spot for a casual bite or relaxing break.

Google
Cute and delicious little coffee shop with outdoor seating and some indoor seating. Lots of variety on menu including gluten-free southwestern quiche which was delicious. They had a few gluten-free bakery items, and the gluten-free carrot cake looked amazing!! My family enjoyed their breakfast burritos, smoothies, cider, and organic loose leaf tea as well. Friendly service too!

Yelp
I'm a sucker for bakeries so during our impromptu stop is Nederland, we had to try this bakery. It did not disappoint. A cute shop that had local art hanging all around. It gave mountain, bake shop vibes- which is exactly what it was haha. My husband got the coconut macaroons and I got the hiker cookie (orange, cranberry cookie). Everything was gluten free which did matter to us but still nice. They were the perfect sweet treats. The macarons were big and had a great coconut flavour. They were firm but not dry and my husband said he would have ordered 100 of them if he could have. The cookie was also great. I was worried it was going to be dry and crunchy because of the GF flour but it was not. It was soft and just the right about of sweet. The cookie was also quite large. Great treats after our lunch! Stop in and check it out.

Yelp
This cool bakery was located right in the center of town. Lots of parking up front. Staff was all very friendly when taking our order. Nice outside seating as well to enjoy when the weather allows it. I got the egg and cheese bagel on an everything bagel and my wife got the egg burrito. We also got some monkey bread. The egg and cheese bagel was good, fresh and I loved the crispness after it was toasted. My wife said she enjoyed the burrito, it was a pretty big portion. The monkey bread was the real winner though. It was amazing, lots of flavor with the nuts, raisins and icing. It melted in your mouth and was so soft. Decent portions too. I knocked a star off because the tip screen showed 25% as a minimum, then 30%, 35% and 40%. I entered my own and gave them 20% but cmon guys, the tip scene is getting out of hand. I'm happy to support local businesses and it's staff but why is 40% even an option? For ringing up my order and handing me my bagel? (Which I had to get up from my outside seating to get it) The least you could have done is brought it outside to me for throwing a 20% tip. Ending my tip rant...I would still go back, the food was good

Yelp
Had such a delicious piece of quiche here. They have an amazing menu of specialty latte beverages. Cute place, has a great indoor & outdoor space to sit. Good service as well!

Yelp
This little bakery and café in Nederland is a hidden gem. Inside, the ambiance is cozy rustic, and there's a lovely front patio to enjoy as well. The selection of fresh and tempting offerings made it tough to decide what to choose. In the end, my husband and I both settled on their quiche, with one of them being gluten-free. They were absolutely delicious! It's a fantastic spot to visit when you're in the area or en route to Eldora!

Yelp
An old Boulder type place, one of the remaining few. Gf options great coffee, friendly staff, great views

Yelp
Stopped here after hiking cause I was starving! Grabbed a quick sando. Got the Wild Turkey. The staff was friendly and the place is cute with area to sit outside with the pup. The sandwich was good and fresh. Best part was the ciabatta bread! So light and fresh and delicious! That being said, I think it was a little expensive considering the quantity of items on this, but also understand food cost.

Yelp
Solid coffee shop with some baked items. We had oat milk lattes and two macaroons - one plain and one chocolate. The lattes were good, solid, not exceptional, but still satisfying. As it goes with coffee. We enjoyed them! The macaroons were phenomenal! The chocolate covered one was the best. Recommended!

Yelp
An excellent sit-down bakery / coffee & tea shop, right in the center of town. Friendly staff and plenty of outdoor seating. As for the baked goods, while we enjoyed the mountain hiker cookie ($3.75) and the chocolate chip cookie ($2.25), we found them rather pricey for fairly standard fresh-made cookies. The ham and cheddar croissants were a bit better value ($3.95 each), but they were more like Pillsbury crescent rolls than true croissants. They were tasty and filling, so a perfectly good breakfast treat. All-in-all, better to think of this as a café with their own baked goods than as a bakery (I'd go again for coffee or tea or hot chocolate, but would not go out of my way to get their baked goods).Store

Yelp
After spending the day in the Rocky Mountain National Park, we opted to visit Nederland on our way home. While we were hungry, it was between lunch and dinner, so we opted for a bigger snack instead of a meal. The prices were higher than what I was hoping for, but given Nederland is a small mountain town, that was to be expected. I went for the Southwest quiche, mostly because it sounded different. It was delicious! Black beans, chili, onion and cheese on a tortilla crust. A dollop of salsa would have made it perfect.

Yelp
Great stop for sandwiches or pastries. Favorites are the Swiss Pig sandwich and the Wild Turkey sandwich. Pastry selection varies but in our experience there's always some good choices. There's some indoor seating if the weather isn't cooperating but I recommend the patio.
google avatar

Paul C.

Yelp
Stopped here for a quick lunch in Nederland and I got the Italian Club while my partner got the Wild Turkey. I'm big on Italian sandwiches, but the only thing that was even close to replicating one was the seasoning. Staff was friendly, and I'd go back to try the coffee/pasties that everyone else talks about. May go somewhere else for lunch though.
google avatar

Yelp
After spending the morning in town, this place was highly recommended. I was expecting to be blown away with how highly it was recommended. It was very visit upon arrival. Usually all good signs but this is just a basic lunch spot. My sandwich was alright and my partners was pretty dry. It's got a large patio in front to hang out on. Always happy to support local but I wouldn't say this is a five star spot but it def does the job when you need a bite.

Yelp
Great baristas. Great breakfast bites. Great "be present" vibes. We stopped here for a quick breakfast & coffee on our way to Estes Park. We ordered two breakfast burritos, quiche and a GF sandwich along with two lattes, an americano and chia tea. There was no one in our party who was unhappy with their meal or drinks, so I'd say that merits five stars!

Janice H.

Yelp
Amazing quiche and pastries! Wonderful outdoor patio too. I highly recommend you stop by for a drink and the view.

Yelp
I visit this bakery/ coffee shop every time I come back home from living out of state. It is something I look forward to! Now, I just can't justify $7.50 for a lavender, goat cheese, apricot croissant. $7.00 for a cinnamon roll (very sweet)...okay, maybe. With tip - the options to choose with a card are 25%, 30%, 35% or put in custom - a croissant is close to $9.00-$10.00. I know flour prices have gone up...but with the higher priced croissant plus the options starting at 25% for tip, it just felt off. I'm probably more price conscious than some. Just trying to give a heads up. Nice staff.

Yelp
Great baked goods, food, and coffee drinks! Whenever we're up in Ned we stop by! Try the quiches or really anything that sounds good to you because it is!

Jo K.

Yelp
I ordered at the counter 2 veggie quiche @ $8.95 each and had to pick it up at the counter (so no service) but they turned the credit card machine and asked for a tip. Reluctantly, I left a four dollar tip which came to $21.90. Then on my credit card it shows $24.30 which means somebody upped the tip. So I paid $12 for a slice of veggie quiche. Not such a great deal, especially since the quiche had eggshells throughout. Very disappointed.

Yelp
A perfect spot for a quick stop to fuel before and/or after your hike. Conveniently located in downtown Nederland, it is very hard to miss. Their service is always fast and friendly. The menu is not huge but they they have something for everyone. The quality of their food is pretty good, and there is always something new. Overall, I definitely recommend it if you are looking for something quick and easy!

Yelp
Stopped for coffee and croissant. Coffee was good. Croissant was heavy & doughy. I wouldn't get it again. Staff friendly. Cute place and very clean.

Yelp
My parents and I stopped at New Moon on the way to hike Isabelle Glacier. They have a huge selection of breakfast sandwiches, baked goods and coffee! We all got egg bagel sandwiches and oat milk lattes to fuel up for our hike. The bagel was so hot and fresh and the coffee was creamy and delicious. The lovely person who helped us i side was also as sweet as can be. I love this place!! Can't wait to visit again!
google avatar

Yelp
I loved meeting the staff here. So friendly! I felt very welcomed since this was the very first stop of our Nederland trip and it was such a cute place! They have a lot of pastries and watching other customers munch on their bagel sandwiches made my mouth water. I ordered the creme brûlée latte which was tasty, but also a bit too sweet. Not bad tho!
google avatar

Yelp
Such a cute little bakery/cafe in Nederland! They have pretty good coffee with lots of options. I had a snickers latte and it was yummy, definitely on the sweeter side though. We also tried a berry blues smoothie & it was good. Their baked goods all looked amazing! The banana bread was super moist & perfect. Also tried their breakfast bagel another time we went, bacon, egg & cheese. My parents had breakfast burritos, they seemed to enjoy them & they looked equally as delicious. Overall definitely recommend this cafe to anyone in town looking for a quick bite to eat or a decent cup of coffee!
google avatar

Shea D.

Yelp
This place has the best baked goods!! I only took a photo of the croissant I had (which was yummy) but I MUST mention the peanut butter puddles - oh my gosh. when I saw them through the glass, I knew I had to buy five because they are my favorite kind of cookies. BUT - New Moon has completely leveled up this cookie. I don't know how, I'm not a baker. Just trust me. Get the puddles.

Todd S.

Yelp
First, great coffee... Second, better than that service... Third, Allie has found her calling in baking...the croissants are amazing and I can only imagine everything else is also!
google avatar

Deborah N.

Yelp
Very cute bakery right in heart of town. Grabbed some post hike snacks. Heavenly bar was yummy, croissant was soft and flaky and perfect for the next day's breakfast.

Yelp
I went the other day for my first time to this place and got a vegan banana bread it was super delicious and the lady at the register was very nice we are actually going back tomorrow I'm taking my wife she has never been!
google avatar

Nancy P.

Yelp
Disappointing experience. The food took longer than necessary. The breakfast burrito was undercooked - bacon nearly raw, overload of unmelted cheese - tiny pieces of egg in a inedible white sauce, gummy tortilla encased in overcooked spinach. Very odd and inedible all for $13. No thanks.
google avatar

C J.

Yelp
Everyone goes to New Moon: locals, tourists, CDOT workers. Anyone who can be cheerful at 5:30 AM is okay by me. I love their croissants!
google avatar

Maddie G.

Yelp
We stayed near Nederland this week and stopped into New Moon twice. My husband loved the Creme Brûlée Latte with an extra shot of espresso. I had the lovely ladies there make me a Coconut Latte that was delicious and to fall in line with the other reviews...I drooled over the Lavender Goat Cheese Apricot Croissants. Hands down best croissant I've ever had. We also tried the sausage sammie and breakfast burrito, which were good. We loved the vibey atmosphere here and the plentiful outdoor seating. I hope to return some day.

Yelp
The coffee and food are great, but this was my last visit. That barista needs to get herself some feminism and stop pandering to the guys by pointing her internalized misogyny at older woman customers who come in by themselves. It's 2023, not 1923.

Mara L.

Yelp
This coffee was bussin!!!!! Idk what oat milk brand they use but it's so good. I got a iced matcha latte with oat milk and it was the best matcha I've ever had. My boyfriend got a iced dirty chia latte and it is also gas asf. It's actually me the one writing this because I didn't have yelp so I asked her for her phone because I was really excited. Defiantly gonna tweet about this (I have 3 followers) but yea super impressed!

Yelp
A true gem that does everything right from delicious breakfasts to gluten free baking that really meets any dietary needs. For lunch, I highly recommend the warm egg-battered tortilla, quiche or vegan options. The egg wrap is filled with all those sumptious fillings like guacamole, marinated mushrooms, and topped with amazing house-made salsa. Their quiches are so ooey and gooey (at the same time), making me continue to want more. They just added online ordering, so you actually get 10% off your first order through their website newmoonbakery.com Will definitely be here again to get my baking, breakfast, and everything fix on!
google avatar

Jennifer L.

Yelp
Enjoyed a lovely brunch to go this morning. Had the wild turkey on ciabatta and pecan monkey bread. Absolutely delicious! Best turkey sandwich around, hands down! Definitely will be back for that!

Yelp
Stopped in after a hike at the Hessie Trailhead and glad I did. I was intimated by the line so I almost decided against it, but the line moves rather quickly and, more importantly, it's well worth the wait. I got a lavender goat cheese croissant that had the perfect amount of floral and was filled with delicious goat cheese. Additionally, I got the classic bagel sandwich on an everything bagel which was perfect after my hike, and the creme brûlée latte which is the best of that variety that I've ever had. Plenty of outdoor seating as well as indoor tables, and masks are required inside, which I appreciate. Will definitely be making a return when in the area!

Yelp
Cute and cozy coffee shop. Vegan pastry options available: carrot bread, banana bread, as well as a couple others I don't recall. I tried the carrot bread and it was yummy. They also have almond or coconut milk. Free Wi-Fi (password by the register). Ample space to sit and work. Friendly staff. Fairly spacious parking area although you may have a problem during busy times. In that case, you'll just have to park a bit further and walk.

Yelp
By far my favorite bakery in COlORADO. I was hunting for an incredible croissant and coffee for months and I found it! Not only do they have incredible chocolate and almond croissants but they also carry croissants flavored lavender and goat cheese, unreal. If you are in the area don't be an idiot and get yourself a scrumptious baked good and coffee. Ya won't regret it
google avatar

Jessica N.

Yelp
Awesome spot! Delicious food (we got a breakfast burrito and coffee cake), great service, atmosphere, music. I'd make it a point to come back here any time.

Yelp
I cannot thank this bakery enough for making a very special day for my husband and I. Today is our one year anniversary and on our honeymoon a year ago we spend every single morning at New Moon eating the to die for lavender goat cheese croissants. The hand delivered these incredible baked goods to us and I could not be more thankful!

R T.

Yelp
The baked goods and bhakti chai were delicious, but the Italian club was one of the best sandwiches I have eaten. Highly recommend!

Yelp
My friend and I stopped by here after a hike in Ned. Great idea!!! We both enjoyed the Wild Turkey sandwich. It was delish. I loved the pesto and turkey combo. I also ordered the quiche. Omg. The quiche was legit. Highly recommend. Throw some chalula on it and it's perfection. I also bought the magic bar (don't remember the name for it) which is chocolately coconuty nutty heaven in a bar form. Their coffee and latte selection was quite extensive and looked delightful! Loved this business!
google avatar

Jenny T.

Yelp
Love love love. The coffee. The tea. The pastries/quiches. The vibe. A little small inside, a little pricy. But it didn't disappoint.
google avatar

Jeff B.

Yelp
The cafe itself had good friendly service and ok food, but my dog was apparently not welcome. Some dude in a wife beater t-shirt said he owned the building and insisted the dog not bark while she was on the patio. She was only whining a little, for less than a few minutes while I got my food. It is a shame, because Nederland is generally friendly, but If you are traveling with a dog avoid this place because why deal with any conflict when there are other dog friendly places in town.
google avatar

Paula C.

Yelp
Amazing pastries and coffee. The baristas are so friendly! Cinnamon roll was huge and delicious. To go options available. Lots of chai and tea for non-coffee folks. Come here and leave satisfied.

Yelp
Nederland is a cute town with a great story. It's called The Frozen Dead Guy Days. It's all true. There really is a frozen dead guy in the mountains. Yes. In this town. http://frozendeadguydays.org/aboutfdgd I drove to town a day before the festival. I wanted to see the town before it gets busy. It's not difficult to spot New Moon Bakery. The public parking where I found a man with a Tesla struggling to charge his car with a Charge point is right across from it. I passed him and headed over to New Moon. I think we made the right decision to come up to Nederland a day before. We enjoyed this cafe in peace. There was barely anybody. I was able to peruse their menu board behind the counter. I zeroed in on their Bacon Wrap to share with a friend. We were taken aback at how tasty this dish was. It was the simplicity of how it was made and what was on it that was delightful to me. Mostly eggs. Tomatoes and lots of love. This got me all hungry. So I ordered one more thing: their Wild Turkey Panini. Super delicious. I'm thinking nothing this simple can be so good. I think they care about what they prepare and serve to you their customers. Hence, the noticeable above average taste. We consumed these two in their sunnier front room. People watching and just enjoying the quite spot. I noticed that they have an outside area fenced off where you can enjoy warm summer days. There are other places to eat here and all within walking distance of each other but this is an excellent place to start. You won't regret it. Next up to try. Their world famous pastries? Or was it their carrot cake? Not sure at this point but I know I'm going back soon.
google avatar

Richard G.

Yelp
Always a must stop when in Nederland. Great selection of regular and gluten free pastries. Really great coffee drinks. No inside dining right now but a nice canvas covered patio area.

Caly K.

Yelp
I visited this location on a trip in November 2022 and bought an adorable skeleton mug (not to mention their coffee and croissants were amazing). After the trip, my friend wished she would've bought one, so I reached out to the bakery to see if they would be willing to ship one to Michigan as a surprise. They were so friendly and willing to do this for me! Customer service is 10/10 and will definitely be stopping back in on my next trip to CO :)
google avatar

Sophie L.

Yelp
Stopped in after a big hike and the warm tomato mozzarella croissant was divine. Granted I was starving after the hike but it really hit the spot.
google avatar

Andrew H.

Yelp
Great coffee and a nice bakery in a town that seems to be crawling with both. Perfect place to grab a drink from the drive to the mountains, and a snack to put in your pack. You can have your own person half-time show mid-way through your hike. Eat that muffin/scone/cookie, you DESERVE it.
google avatar

Gil S.

Yelp
These days the Cafe is open for takeout via a service window - masks required! Still great service and yummy pastries, a great place to stop on the way or if you're in town
