Nestled in the historic New Sheridan Hotel, this charming bar boasts a vintage vibe, stunning woodwork, and a lively crowd that makes every visit unforgettable.
"If there are ghosts haunting the Historic Bar—which was rebuilt in 1895 after a fire decimated the original building—we don’t blame them for wanting to stay for eternity. Tucked within the New Sheridan Hotel, the tin-ceilinged space is what Rocky Mountain dreams are made of, from the carved mahogany bar to the affordable prices. Don’t miss the leaded glass panels and brass chandeliers, both of which are original to the 1895 space."
This is one of the oldest Salon's still in existence out west. Located within the New Sheridan hotel, right on the main strip of Telluride, the inside of this establishment is beautiful. It has a very historic feel inside, the bar is beautiful, and there is even a game room in the back. This bar is a highly recommended visit while in Telluride.

Beautiful, historic building. The bar is so well built, amazing wood work and tin ceiling tiles. $5 Jack Daniel’s in Telluride, that was not expected! Bar tender was very friendly and great service. It got busy as it started to rain and it was a very fun crowd with great energy.

It is vintage and it's old wood inside. You can meet loads of great people, other tourists and travelers. The happy hour is great. The bartender is pretty smooth. There is pool in the back

Late night drink. My wife and I sat at the bar. Fun crowd and great bartenders. The back pool room was active but we only stayed for one drink before walking back to hotel.

Super fun bar. Hip vibe. Lively scene. Tasty cocktails. If you like pool you may want to head to the back room abs enjoy with locals and out of towners.

I was sitting at the bar, very busy Friday night. There was a group standing around behind me waiting patiently to order drinks, the lady waiting to order jokingly said “do I need to know the bartender to get a drink” and I responded “you need to wave your arms”… obviously I was making the comment in jest and the bartender snapped at me in front of everyone around me at the bar, and then snapped at the lady telling her “do not wave your arms” Bartender in his 40s or maybe early 50s, some tattoos on his arms. Other than him being a rude terrible bartender not able to work under the pressure of a busy bar and snapping at a comment that was obviously not serious this place was good.

Had the best time chatting with locals & having drinks at the indoor fireplace! We were sad that we didn't have time to return before our trip ended.
