New Sunset Deli

Had the best sandwich in my life. Absolutely good value for the price.

Ordered a turkey and Swiss sandwich on a roll & it was really good. Fresh ingredients and plenty of meat. I did not feel like I was overpaying as the sandwhich was exactly what I wanted and they did not skimp on meat and cheese. They are very friendly and you can tell the staff have close ties. They have lots of different sandwiches and drink options- pelligrino, sodas, basil seed drinks(?) Red Bulls etc. they also have coffee though I did not try. I would recommend and would return.

Went there quick for a quick bite. Nothing but amazing! I order me a egg white with turkey , mozzarella, lettuce, tomato, chipotle mayo on whole wheat bread. The prices was really economical and overall the food was prepped right. Good job!

Today's lunch discovery was a delightful surprise! I thoroughly enjoyed chicken and spicy pork tacos. Not only was the price surprisingly wallet-friendly, but the taste was perfect. What made the experience even more enjoyable was the warmth and friendliness of the staff. This is a place I'd like to visit again.

Just your regular corner store vibe. Nothing special about the sandwiches either. How are you gonna specialize in heros and not have whole wheat as an option? I was hyped to go here based off reviews...but meh. Get a sandwich here, if you're in the area but DO NOT make a special trip.

This place is fairly New and they represent the deli that sold cold cuts, sandwiches etc.. the owner was Kevin may he R.I.P. now, on 43rd and 4th Avenue and now one of his employees opened this store selling the same same cold cuts, sandwiches and more! They’re great sandwiches just a little over priced I believe! I purchased a ROLL with ham & cheese mayo & lettuce for $13.45 in my opinion it was good but not for almost $15.00 we are not in Manhattan, this is Sunset Park where there are lots of families in need! But the Sandwiches are goooood!!!

Welcome back Sunset Deli part 2, yet not the same warm welcome that Mr.Lee provided when he was alive, he did the right thing by training these guys to continue making sandwiches with love. I grew up in Sunset park eating his delicious sandwiches and waiting on the long lines that sometimes took 30 minutes, it was worth the waite. I ordered a sandwich from the New Sunset Deli and memories hit my tastebuds. Welcome guys and good luck, you have a fan who will follow up for more.

The food and the service were excellent. We love eating in local eateries. The location is quaint and typical. The food was delicious.

I'm so excited to have found this deli right in my neighborhood. On the walk in I was greeted with a smile and welcome. The guy that prepared my sandwich was amazing. He prepared my sandwich in front of me, nicely thinly sliced honey turkey, Munster cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, mayo, mustard, red onions, vinegar, salt and pepper, on a hero. He was friendly and took his time and made my sandwich with love. One of the best sandwiches I've had. I enjoyed it so much. This will be my new bodega for sure.

So I was told this deli back in the days had huge NY CITY SUBS ! Unfortunately, it's closed for a couple of years. I was told that they reopened in a new location and I wanted to give it a try. I'm going to show you the Italian special that I got.. I haven't tasted it yet, but I needed to show you . It's a little deli in the corner right across from the park..

Omggggg. I first want to say I'm so disappointed in just finding out about this sandwich spot. I stopped in today, being I was in the area and tried their combination hero. There was about 2 people ahead of me and the men behind the counter move FAST (which I appreciated). The hero consisted of honey turkey, bacon, Swiss cheese , mayo, lettuce, tomatoes, onions , salt, pepper , and vinegar for $13.95 and the sandwich is HUGE. They also accept ZELLE for payment. The prices are great in reflection to what's going on in the economy these days . The lady who took my order was very kind and sweet and most importantly friendly. She explained the different menus sandwich's to me being I'm a newbie lol. The store is well put together and clean with a few seats in the front where you can wait for your food . They also have a small selection of hot food in which looked very tasty . I waited no longer than 7 minutes for my hero . Thank you so much to sunset deli for a great experience , and a hero that blew my mind in flavors and size .

I came here tonight and got a sub with Turkey, American cheese, lettuce and tomato. The bread was fresh, and the turkey and cheese tasted good as well. The sub was a good size, about 10" with a good amount of meat. The price was $12.95, which is the normal price nowadays. This place used to be on 43/5 and was a much bigger location but they sold it after the old owner died.

I heard Sunset Deli reopened, different spot on 5th and 42nd now. It used to be on 43rd and 4th Ave. this was our lunch spot at least once or twice a week when I was working in Lutheran hospital. Mr. Lee would slice meats super thin and pile it high and top with lettuce, tomatoes or whatever cheese you wanted. Huge hero's! It's a tiny place now and no hot and cold food. There wasn't much in the way of salads but I think we need to give them a chance, they're not open even 6 months yet. I asked for my roast beef on a roll with potato salad, pepper and mustard.. don't knock it if you haven't tried it. The sandwich was built high with thin sliced roast beef, potato salad was on the bottom, ok it was upside down but it tasted just as good. Place is clean and I'm not sure if the man who made my sandwich was one of the owners. He was very pleasant and made a great sandwich! The only reason for the 4 stars is because I was hoping for some homemade food like they used to have. I'll go back, I think it was worth the ride.

Ham, spicy soppressata, fresh mozz, lettuce sun dried tomatoes salt pepper, mayo and balsamic glaze on a semolina this place is the best

The sandwiches were gijaminamasorus. Plus the meat to bread ratio was amazing. The service was great they are really nice.
