We came here for a girls brunch and everything was delicious. I got the Greek burger, and I think that’s my most favorite burger in town now. The chicken fried steak was good also it was a tasty average chicken fried steak.The speed of service was good especially considering how busy they were. There’s a lot of room in the restaurant so although there were a lot of people there it didn’t feel crowded. The waitress was very nice and gave good recommendations.She also was great about making sure we were doing ok throughout our visit.

My coworker and I had lunch here when we had a training close by. I ordered the Dirty Bird, which I thought was excellent. I had the salad with ranch dressing on the side was very good too. My coworker ordered the pastrami which she said was very flavorful, however, didn’t seem to be a whole lot of pastrami on the sandwich. She also got french fries which she said she enjoyed it as well. Our server, Mandy, was awesome! She was friendly and accommodating. It was a little more on the costly side, the most inexpensive thing was their standard burger with side at $16.50.

My daughter said "This is my new favorite place. The food is soooo good!" She got the kids hamburger sub for gluten bun. It is hard to find places with gluten free buns. She loved her meal! I have the Mediterranean salad sub shrimp for chicken and my son got the Chilly lime shrimp tacos. Both meals also delicious. Service was great too.

Nice place to go for lunch, they have good food and a nice atmosphere. The servers are very friendly and attentive. They have TVs set up around the restaurant and they have a bar as well. Plenty of seating and parking. We usually get the Cordon Bleu sandwhich and the southwestern salad. Therecan be a little wait for seating at times but it's usually pretty quick.

The new New Vintage Grill on Truxtun delivers on every level. The menu offers a nice balance of quality and creativity, and every dish we tried was delicious. Service was friendly, attentive, and efficient, and the atmosphere strikes a great balance between casual and refined. It’s an excellent spot for a meal any time of day. A+ for food, service, and atmosphere.

The dirty bird sando is one of the most superb sandwiches I’ve had recently. The service was excellent the server even offered me a free refill to go on my Arnold palmer

This was a nice find while we were looking for a bite around Bakersfield. Good drinks and food. Nice atmosphere inside as well. The patio looked like it would be nice in the right weather. I had an Orange Sour with Irish Whiskey, and it happened to be St. Paddy's day. Good experience overall.

The food was tasty. Sadly the overall experience was sour. My significant other had trouble deciding on what to order and it seemed to upset the waitress. So

New favorite breakfast spot! We came in over The Weeknd before doing a little thrift shopping and had such a nice time. Our server Crystal was super nice, patient with us and super attentive. I don't eat very much so I ordered à la carte items that aren't listed on the menu - chicken apple sausage, toast and one over medium egg. My friend got the French toast combo, it was A LOT of food! The coffee is good too, not as strong as I'd like, but good enough. We'll definitely be coming back more frequently.

For the longest time I thought this place was strictly diner food. I'd heard a lot of good things but never had the chance to stop by. Recently I came for lunch with a group and was genuinely surprised by how many delicious options they have. I ordered a pizza and it ended up being the perfect size to share--even though I'd ordered it just for myself. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful. From what I understand, there are two locations, and this one off Truxtun Ave is super spacious and very clean. It definitely didn't give me traditional "diner" vibes at all. I can't wait to come back and try more items, especially breakfast!

Really ! I don't know what the hype is all about this place after looking at the reviews my husband & I plus another couple decided to try them out. It's a very nice clean atmosphere BUT.. that's all. The girl who seated us had us follow her to our table without a word, put our menus on the table & left.. we just looked at each other.. I was hoping it would improve our waitress was a young lady who looked unhappy, tired preceded to take our order with an attitude.. "like" hurry up and order you bunch of slow old ppl.. we had questions about the menu that I could see she was irritated to answer. when our food appeared we had to ask for extra napkins & a refill on our drinks that never came. My friends shared the fish & fries that tasted like eating frozen fish from a box.. lol according to them, My husband & I shared a pizza that was soggy, no taste just a bunch of vegetables that tasted frozen & where's the beef?? We spent around $28 with drinks.. both of us left a lot of the food.. NO Take homes.. so no we won't be back., y'all please try for yourselves as you may like this particular restaurant.. Enjoy

This place was nice! My wife ordered the French toast plate and I ordered the cowboy potatoes with chorizo. I'll tell you what, you definitely get portion for your buck here! And the food was 5/5 in flavor! The coffee was great and the staff were friendly.

The food is very good as evidenced by the long lines to get inside in the mornings. The servers are friendly and make sure you have all you want or need. I've only had lunch here and want to try breakfast. It gets a little noisy sometimes but they have a nice enclosed patio to sit in as well.

I am giving 2 stars because this is a pretty good spot. However, there is room for improvement for managers and servers. I sat for more than 30 minutes and no one came to check on my table. When I talked to the manager she was unapologetic and did not care.

Ate here today for lunch with a large group. Meal was good. Venue is spacious inside. 1) mushroom and Gordon bleu burger with Caesar salad - this was good portion size and enjoyed the salad 2) pastrami sandwich with jalapeno soup - husband the pastrami was salty , soup was decent 3) cheesy noodles with fries on kids menu - Mac and cheese yum for the kids 4) standard cheddar burger with fries - kid enjoyed this 5) buffalo wings and barbecue wings appetizer - wings are good 6) Texas chicken eggrolls appetizer - decent 7) Pepsi soda Overall a reasonable place to eat in town. Prices are kinda expensive at $17+ per entree.

Visited on a Saturday morning, around 9am and were seated right away. Service was great, quick to take our order and not too long of a wait for our food. It did start to pick up right around 9:45, and although it was busy, there were plenty of tables as this establishment is pretty big. Food was great! Perfect portions. The California Benedict came with a side of fruit. Both were amazing! Ordered a side of French toast as well and it was exactly what I needed. Not too sweet or smothered in syrup. Highly recommend this place for brunch! Lovely ambiance, with both indoor and outdoor seating available.

Temo the Friendly Server brought this location, near Oak & Truxton, back up to the maximum number of stars, due to the positive vibes and efficient service that he provided! Great food as always!

If you haven't had the salmon burger, you are missing out! Everything about it made me happy enough to tap my toes. Excellent service as well. People seem happier when they leave here. Full and satisfied from a great experience. Ten stars.

First time here, although I've heard good things. My coworker and I came in for lunch. The restaurant has a big, open layout and it was humming with people and a nice vibe. The menu is large and every single thing sounds amazing and made my mouth water down my face. I asked our kind waitress for recommendations and chose one of them- the fish tacos. I really wanted that Thai chicken soup- it sounded like a cozy choice on a rainy day. But alas, I will return for thee. My coworker ordered the gangster wrap and said it was fire, although a little overpowered with BBQ sauce. My fish tacos were SO good. I longed for a slice or two of lime on the side, but still quite delicious. A good indicator that the food here is on point & a motivator to bring me back for more. From what I could tell on this visit, the rumors seem to be true.

This is one of my favorite places to eat Eggs Benedict in town!!!! The Hollandaise Sauce goes so well with the spuds!!! If you haven't been here, i ask you why not?????? Make it happen, you wont regret it. Very Friendly Environment with outdoor seating if you prefer that style of setting. I would give this experience a solid 8.5

First time coming here and I loved it. The service was amazing. The sun was coming through the window blinding us so they went outside to move the umbrellas around to block the sun. The food was extremely tasty. I got the vege scramble and spuds. Definitely would get this again. The spuds sounded like a weird combination, but it totally works.

First visit was a bit of a miss but there was some potential there so we might give it another try in the future. Our server was very friendly and on top of things, made us feel welcome and never let our drinks hit empty. My wife and I had lunch here yesterday, we were nearby and in the mood for something new and we had heard good things. I had the fish and chips and she ordered the Apple Hill Salad. The fish itself was cooked well but the batter was really thick. There was probably a 3:1 ratio of batter to fish and it kind of overwhelmed the flavor of the fish, just too much better for too little fish for my taste. My wife's salad was alright but she said it was 95% greens and 5% toppings. As an entree salad she was expecting more toppings like the apple and cheese that are listed on the menu. She said it felt like an oversized started salad you'd get at a restaurant before your real meal arrived. It was a bit of a let down overall.

Tried to leave review on there feed back but would never accept(first clue). Tried the Monte Cristo sandwich(one star) barely any meat interior of French toast soggy and had little or no seasoning. American processed cheese did not work on this sandwich at all. This was on of the worst efforts I've ever eaten. Restaurant was very slow,Fri morning at 8:30. As for service polite but neither wait staff asked how my meal was even though I didn't even finish one piece completely,did feed some to my puppy who enjoyed. Fruit cup was very good. Saw others food that looked pretty good. I hope it's just one dish miss. Restaurant is clean and looks to have a good beer selection.

The menu offers a lot of interesting options. Their signature dishes, all sounded very appealing. I decided to go to go with the breakfast first sandwich which was OK, but not it didn't knock my socks off. Fletch decided to go with the breakfast boats. These are quite cute and very shareable. He went with the chorizo gravy in the middle, and it was according to him interesting. Definitely something we'd order if we came with a group of friends and we wanted to have a breakfast appetizer. The waitress was quite pleasant. She was also our hostess, and she was very attentive and helpful and we wanted for nothing. The waiting area is quite comfortable with a couple of couch, couches and seats. We were quoted 30 minutes and I think we may be waited 15. We sat on the patio and it was quite pleasant. The weather was perfect outside. The seats are comfortable. They do have heaters if you are in need of warmth, but it was just a nice day so we didn't need it. They also have umbrellas if you need shade from the sun which again we didn't really need because it was a beautiful day. The ambience gives us vibes of a micro brewery, tap room, shabby industrial if I had to guess. The music was louder than it needed to be but not so loud that we had to shout to hear each other.

Just tried this new spot today! I just missed breakfast, so I ordered from the lunch options. I got the Smokey Burger and ordered a blackberry Shirley. I was a bit sad for missing breakfast, but that's okay because the food was amazing! The service was incredible, she was very sweet and attentive. The atmosphere was relaxing and chill. I didn't get any pictures but I will definitely be back and have some then! They also a nice option to tip the cooks, the food was so good that we had to leave them one as well as the sweet waitress. :)

I love there Mac and cheese and the pizza here. The crust is perfect, they cook their pizzas in a fire oven. I would say it's probably my favorite pizza in town. Good job new vintage!

Fantastic food! Me and my dad came here for a lunch and were not disappointed at all. Nice interior but also good service with an attentive waitress. I had the PB&J Burger which was easily one of the best burgers I've had in a long time. All of the flavors came together beautifully from the bacon, the jalapeños, great bacon jam, the bread was so soft which made the meal so much better. 100% recommend and will come again. As for my dad he enjoyed his sandwich with good crispy bacon, flakey croissant bread, and good seasoned turkey. Lastly, the ranch was great and the fries were good, not hard to mess up fries if you know what you're doing. Overall: I recommend this place! Quick and delicious food, a little up on price but this is why you don't eat out every day :)

We chose this restaurant because there was going to be a large group. The menu variety was amazing! There really was something for every taste! The portions were generous and the prices were reasonable. Service was good.

Such a cool place. Stopped in for breakfast. Hubby ordered a breakfast burrito, but noticed they left out the potatoes. Server apologized and went back to get a side of them. Came back with a whole new burrito. Service was amazing. Will definitely be back next time we are in the area. Bar menu and specials look awesome, will definitely try next time!

I always love coming here. The atmosphere is nice and the restaurant is inviting. The servers are very attentive and are always busy. They have a good selection of food items, ranging from breakfast to lunch. The chili omelette w/ avocado crema is bomb. Chicken fried steak is good, but could be a bigger portion. Besides that, I've never been disappointed. Thank you to all the workers and cooks for a delicious breakfast.

Hot garbage. Mid AF? Not sure the right title but either one of those will do. Trying this place again after a year or so, hoping it got better. Honestly, I don't understand the appeal. The cowboy potatoes with "chorizo gravy" was so ridiculously bland you'd think they had a policy against seasoning. Also, chorizo gravy must be a euphemism for "red velveeta" because that's all it was. The bacon on it was good though. Flapjacks were great until I pulled a hair out of the middle of one. The waitress who clearly had an extremely long day was kind enough to remove them from the ticket. But that doesn't take away from the fact that sitting outside came with the added advantage of wafts of warm sewage every five minutes or so. No idea what's happening here, but my advice is to avoid.

HIGHLY DISAPPOINTING. I used to tell people that this place had good pizza. Not anymore. I will never again recommend this place. I ordered a medium (12") carnivore pizza ($23.95). The pizza's crust was thin and burnt, and the toppings were of poor quality. I've had better frozen pizza. After the service charge and sales tax, I paid $31.08 for this pizza. You can get a bigger and better quality pizza in a grocery store's frozen food section or another place for that price. I don't know what happened but New Vintage Bar & Grill's pizza has taken a drastic change for the worse.

Service at the bar was tremendous on 10/13/25. We were greeted right away, drinks were amazing, and the vibe was just right. Cluck Norris Wings were so good and the pizza had the freshest ingredients. Definitely, a hidden jewel of this town. Trifectas are the best mimosas in town!!

We visited New Vintage Bar and Grill on a saturday around 10:30am and we had the best server who let us order lunch food before it was officially lunch. The outdoor seating is great and there are quite a few options on the menu. I did not care for the pizza, but the fish tacos were pretty good. A little expensive for what you get overall.

I had lunch here twice with a coworker while training at the building nearby. First off, the vibes are great inside with cute decorations. We sat outside because both days were beautiful days. Service was fast and friendly both times. The first day I ordered the Caribbean chicken sandwich. It had Caribbean marinated chicken, applewood bacon, cheese lettuce, tomato, sprouts, chipotle aioli, and on a brioche bun. Unfortunately, I did not take a picture of the sandwich, but I would recommend it as it was great! The next day I ordered a mushroom and blue burger. The burger had crumbled blue and swiss cheese, mushrooms, crispy onions, tomato, steak sauce, mayo, and on a brioche bun. I ordered the sweet potato fries with the jalapeño ranch. Everything was delicious. I think the star of the show was the jalapeño ranch, which was delicious! I am looking forward to returning and trying more menu options.

Not only is everything we order amazing (we got the salmon sandwich today with Turkey and Kale soup) but the service is also outstanding. They go out of the way to great you and although we don't live in town it's easy to feel like a regular. If you haven't been try the Avocado and mozzarella appetizer (add chicken) the nachos (homemade flour chips) the salmon sandwich, the chicken Cordon Bleu sandwich... OK we love everything but also there's some new breakfast potato skins that are served with a side of gravy (amazing). Also it's happy hour all day everyday with drink specials. Love this cute local place.

First time coming here for brunch and the food was great. Service was so-so, took 30 minutes to sit down when tables had been sitting clean and dirty for a while. Service during the meal was scarce, but a great environment and we will be back to check out lunch/dinner.

I was approached by a young man who seated me, but it was a bit odd. He asked me to follow him as we approached the table he laid my flatware on the table. Then He continued to walk away to bus another table without turning toward me for seating or saying my server would be by soon. I almost followed him to the next table because I wasn't sure where he wanted me to sit. Reva was my Server, she approached me with a big smile and was very pleasant & prompt. My meal came out quickly. They serve breakfast until 11am. I ordered the Crab Cake Benedict. I didn't want the normal accompaniments, hash browns etc. I asked Reva if I could substitute cottage cheese and with a smile she made it happen. Unfortunately I was disappointed in my meal. The presentation was nice, but the meal lacked flavor. The crab cakes were heavy with filler & breading, but very little of the crab flavor was present. The hollandaise had a gravy like texture and was lacking flavor. Again no hint of butter or lemon. Fortunately the eggs were poached properly with the whites firm & the center runny. The cottage cheese was rich & creamy. The restaurant was looking a bit shabby in places. The carpet at the entry to the bathroom needed cleaning. There was a toilet in disrepair, just a few little things.

All right we decided to check this spot out You are very surprised it was really nice it's bigger than it looks from the outside The waitress we had she was on point kept my raspberry iced tea full all at all times Plus the food is delicious and on point large quantities I was surprised The atmosphere is nice and quiet we went around 11:00 so it started getting crowded around 11:30 12:00 so if you want to go and get a seat you better get there early cuz they get pretty busy I was surprised The mushroom burger was on point and they didn't go cheap on the burger it was a big piece of meat lots of fixings on it too The pizza that my daughter had was on point plenty of fresh vegetables on that bad boy It was really good looking so you need to go check this spot out definitely will go back 5 plus plus stars

Sat at the bar. Nice place to grab brunch or a snack. Sat at the bar and had excellent service. Will try again for different types of food. Came here with coworkers after a meeting but mainly had drinks. So morr food for next time to properly rate this place.

Food was not great. I had a burger and the meat tasted like an old frozen patty. My sister had a chicken sandwich and it had no flavor at all. The quality of the ingredients was not good and you can taste it. However, the service was good and the restaurant was clean.

We were looking for some grub before a long afternoon of errands. We were near Oak and Truxtun and stopped by the New Vintage Grill. My wife saw fish and chips on the menu, so we split that order. The pieces of fish and a healthy portion of fries. The fish wasn't overly breaded ( I like that) and the fillets were nice and tender. They bring both Tartar and shrimp cocktail sauce. Service is always great. A helpful staff. They don't rush you and they have a great beer selection.

Highly recommend for a good meal and pleasant service. Nice bar area and plenty of seating. My go to orders are The Godfather Pizza and the Smokey Burger. Fish tacos are really good too. Just a great all around local business.

Glad this place is close to my neighborhood, a little difficult to get too during rush hours but worth the trouble. The Korean tacos (a plate of three) are spicy, sweet and crispy. Great palate pleasers! Server was amiable and solicitous. My friend and I went for an early dinner and were not disappointed.

Great food,.Good liquor prices..Cute place !The jalapeño soup is to die for!The menu is has a lot of good choices each one very different. Also their lemon drop or Grapefruit drop are very good martinis.Sometimes over the weekends they get busy and there is a short wait time ,but it is well worth it!

My absolute favorite breakfast/brunch spot in town, that being said their after 11am lunch/dinner menu is delicious as well I just tend to always dine there around 10-11am. I've tried several new dishes during the mast 3 months, my usuals are the Eggs Benedict, French Toast, or the Ham Steak and Eggs (the names on the menu are clever, I apologize I'm naming them by their general name/description). You MUST try their "spuds", you'll never select another potato option after you do. New favorite menu items are the Buffalo Chicken Pizza, Stuffed Avocados & definitely add the bacon, and the Cobb Salad! We always try to have TEMO as our server, he is the absolute best...even when he's not our server he spots us in the restaurant and comes over, he is the definition of great customer service.

Came for brunch with my girlfriends. Checked in when there was only one other family in front of us. After about almost 30 mins and wrong about 3 parties be seated before us, we got up to ask what was taking so long and they informed us they had accidentally written down the wrong party number. Already starting off wrong and we weren't even given an apology for the mistake. Sadly we were hoping the food would make up for it. It did not. Pizza was salted, wings were not "wet" and fish was not thoroughly cooked. Left hungry. Will not be back.

I had never been here and randomly decided to try out "NVG", the location is centrally located which is perfect for lunch. Had the shrimp tacos TWICE in one week! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, staff is always nice.

Service was good Food was ehhh. Not bad but not good enough to come back especially with so many good breakfast places in town. Omelette was over cooked and chicken fried steak tasted like burnt oil.

It was very delicious! The chicken was so tasty with the lemon sauce! The environment was very nice and service was great.

Was a little busy on a sunday afternoon but still many open tables and booths but we waited a good 20 minutes. Food was very delayed for one of the party and everyone waited quite a while for food. It was excessive compared to other restaurants. Food was hot and good although fish taco's had tiny pieces of fish and really not in enough quantity to call them fish taco's. Menu's state debit cards have a 3 or 4% surcharge. This is illegal in the state of California. Credit cards yes, debit cards are a solid NO. Why this is indicated on a menu is beyond me and why I am paying your operating costs is just a little insulting. Put the prices in your food, not in surcharges. And certainly not illegally.

We enjoy going to this bar & grill for breakfast and early dinner.The staff is so friendly and attentive. From their brick oven made pizzas to salads to their breakfast menu we have never been disappointed. The ambiance and establishment is clean. and inviting. Blessings to the hostess, waitresses, waiters and cooks, you, all are wonderful.

Mom and I are in town visiting family, and we decided to give New Vintage Bar & Grill a try. Inside the decor is country chic and the music fit the ambiance to a T. The service was good, and we took the recommendation to try Mom's Veggie Pesto Pizza. It did not disappoint!! Just the right amount of toppings and the crust was freshly rolled. Delicious!
