Pierce, Stuart and staff (excellent dog crew) are the best. Pierce is always helpful, polite, never pushy and knowledgeable. Stuart is soft spoken, meticulous and knowledgeable too. The other staff is attentive and welcoming. Oh, Stuart is my go-to sharpener guy. He was able to correct and sharpen a workhorse Benchmade Elishewitz Tanto! I employ anybody in the area to visit, if not for knives or cookware, to visit said humans and their furry companions! Will not disappoint.

Pearce, Stewart, and Ren are so knowledgeable and kind! They truly treat their customers well and create such a fun atmosphere to shop in! The dogs are and added bonus. They're so well mannered and elevate the shopping experience!

My mom and I had a wonderful time shopping here today. Stewart and Renn were very welcoming and informative. To top off the experience, we even got to meet Stewart’s dog and pup. They were exceptionally well behaved and friendly with our dog. Looking forward to trying out the knives!

Excellent store with a great selection. I had been wanting something smaller than my traditional chef’s knife, and I was able to chat with them and find it here. I got a 7 inch santouku after trying out some different options (they’ve got a cutting board and veggies to test drive the knives). Super helpful and knowledgeable staff! Also we tried throwing some tomahawks and that was really fun! We were visiting the area and had the knife shipped home, and it arrived safe and sound.

Such fun and educational experience visiting this store. The quality of their knives is first class. The amount of knowledge that Elizabeth Harris has on each of their products left me speechless. The displays are amazing. They also have a fun area for Tomahawk throwing for those of you looking for a bit more excitement. I highly recommend that you stop in and say hi to Elizabeth while you’re in St Helena. You won’t regret any purchase from this store. They also provide sharpening services.

I am a bit of a EDC nerd so this shop had me giddy with all the choices. II was able to see a few knives in person that I've only read about: Microtech and Pro Tech. The microtechs were cool to play with and I will peobably purchase one in the future. The guys that work there are super cool and very helpful. Overall a great place to geek out on some knives.

I just had the most amazing time At NWKW and MMTS. Stewart greeted us and made us feel so Welcome. I Told Him for The last Several Years when visiting for My birthday we would stop by and I would throw some axes in their throwing alley. He wished me a happy birthday and set me up for some axe throwing. A quick refresher course and an axe thrower I became. Such fun. Stewart was awesome to talk with. It seemed like we were old friends. He sharpened and oiled my bench made pocket knife and I checked out the inventory. I not only bought a few axes I walked away having a great experience and learned so much more about axes, knives, sharpening and maintaining your collection. Definitely worth visiting for your sharp needs and meeting Stewart. Thanks again Stewart You made my birthday celebration that more memorable. Next visit won't be so long. I will definitely be being my collection to be sharpened.

Very friendly service and knowledgeable sales staff made the transaction a breeze. I was looking for quality knives but to find the artist made knives made my day. I received the knives via UPS but I'm still waiting on the heavy rock. But as soon as I get it I'll post more pics. If in the Napa area go check them out. You'll be glad you did

Surroundings are very nice! It's definitely a place to visit in Saint Helena. With a wide variety of knives, you can get all you want! I purchased a Bench Made knife and they are very reliable and the flip knives are awesome. They have everything from kitchen knives to box-cutters! Their store manager Pearce is really nice and helps understand what each knife could be used for. I had wanted to get a cool knife for my 15 year old son who wanted to be cool, and so I bought the ARC and it is a multi-use tool. Has pliers and knives. The axe throwing is very cool and it makes the walk down St Helena very worthwhile! I definitely recommend this place.

I walked by New West KnifeWorks and admired their paring knives from the window. This was around the time that Ataúlfo mangoes were in season and we were buying them by the case from Costco. Fast forward a few weeks later and we found ourselves in St. Helena again. This time we went in to check out the knives and were sold on their petty knives. Looking at the grip, amazing craftsmanship, and design, I imagined myself cutting into those ripe mangoes at home! Dascia, the salesperson, was really helpful and knowledgeable. There are baskets along the walls to place knives that we touched or checked out so they can be properly sanitized. We also bought a small potato masher which we have been using for avocados. If you're even curious about what an amazing knife feels like, check out New West KnifeWorks the next time you're in the area! The next time I visit, I really want to check out the ax throwing section in the back!

This is a great shop with a nice assortment to see and handle. Friendly customer service and they carry brands like White River that many big box shops do not offer If you are in the area do yourself a favor and visit. They also have nice kitchen products as well.

I happened upon this shrine to top quality cutlery while exploring the shops of downtown St. Helena. After my visit, I discovered this isn't just a knife store. It's a store dedicated to top quality cutlery crafted by people who are passionate about what they do. I was immediately greeted by the friendly and beautiful Dascia, who walked me through the displays. They have everything from pocket to camping to kitchen knives. The knives all come from different dealers who bring their own flare and personality to everything from the handle to the blade. I was particularly interested in kitchen knives since my brother's birthday is around the corner. Dascia was more than happy to show me the differences and let me handle some of the displays off the wall. These knives are expensive and should only be purchased for those who are serious about their cutlery care. I'm still considering it, but I was impressed either way by the store and her service!

We had an awesome time throwing tomahawks and browsing the gorgeous home wares in this truly unique store. The salespeople were also the friendliest people I've met in a long time. They were very welcoming and knowledgeable, and, best of all, they showed us how to throw Tomahawks at a target (for free!). Even though we were a group of five, they took the time to give each of us multiple turns until we hit the target. The tomahawk throwing is certainly a great hook to get you in to this beautiful store! If you are looking for estate pieces for your kitchen (beautifully crafted knives, magnetic holders, kitchen blocks, and some antique cookware), look no further. Even if you're on a budget, there are some great bath products, razors, and pocket knives in the store that are work checking out and make amazing souvenirs of your trip to the valley. I am sitting at home smelling the lavender soap I bought and reminiscing about one of the most fun and memorable experiences I've had in Napa Valley in a long time!

Cool shop with a large selection of knifes and accessories. They even have a hatchet you can throw at a wooden block. I could shop in here all day long! Prices are a bit high but I'm assuming it's quality stuff. Good times!

These are the best knives we have bought. Beautiful and functionality. After we got home we bought several more! We love the small chef knife the most - ended up with two! Worth the price and a gorgeous store to browse around too.

This place is a GEM as are the people who work there. The store was closed during the sheltering , but I decided to call and leave a message. It was my son's 25th birthday and he wanted a special set of knives. We own a beautiful, INVALUABLE set of their knives at our home in St Helena. By a fluke, Tomas picked up the phone as they were filming in the store that day. He immediately said he would help me choose and assemble the proper knives . He even sent for a special one from their Wyoming store . There was a deadline as I needed to get the set onto a plane. He was sooooo accommodating. He was as much of a gift to me as these knives were to my elated son , upon receiving them. In a time with so much angst and uncertainty.. Tomas' enthusiasm and energy really represented the preciousness of this amazing store. Everything in here, is the standard of excellence.

Absolutely beautiful high-quality knives. (And they have other stuff too - check out the hand-blown oil carafes!) The young man who helped us knew his stuff and could answer every question. He also gave us some important information about the differences in cutlery. Got some Christmas shopping done and bought two beautiful knives that I will hide from my family...all mine! Unfortunately, the shop was so crowded that we couldn't throw any tomahawks...maybe next time?

I was gifted a New West Knifeworks nine years ago. It has been my "go to" chef's knife. I have over a dozen expensive "top brand" knives, but nothing compares to the beauty, feel and edge on my Damascus blade. I recently dropped my knife. It fell tip down onto the concrete floor bending the tip. I was heartbroken as there is additional sentimental value attached the the knife due to its character as a special gift. I called Corey at the store. He assured me that one way or another he would get it fixed. He provided a shipping label and I sent it right in. Not long after, the knife was delivered to my door as good as new. What amazing service! So much more than I could have imagined. What a class act! Thanks, Corey.

My brother immediately went for the axe throwing while the rest of us took a look at the knives. The young lady working there was extremely knowledgeable and and helpful. Good hire....
