Had a spare night in NYC so went to this solo last minute. Got my ticket at the door. They staff were kind and understanding. The comedians were awesome! The venue was great. I had a Long Island ice tea and it was perfect. Highly recommend this as an activity by yourself or with others.

Great experience, but highly disappointed by the amount paid: 45$ for the entry, and then you are pushed to order for 20+$. Although, it was written everywhere multiple times, so it was not a sneaky surprise like other comedy show, but still feels too much for what’s worth. Also, they won’t make food, just twenty dollars worth of drinks is too much. I wish they could just add some real food (and not just 8$ popcorn) like a quick burger, fries, or wings! The room is very small so any seats is close enough, there is no need for the vip 100$+ seats! Still 4 stars because everything was clearly stated and I had a good laugh, but I will most likely not come back.

I LOVE THIS CLUB! Cheap but strong drinks, probably the best value for alcohol next to Rudy’s in manhattan overall. The free Thursday evening shows are a great addition to your weekly routine. Support these guys, they are doing God’s work out here with entertainment from your local community. Also the vibe is great, it is like a movie scene comedy club, such you didn’t think would exist; certainly does here in New York City, baby’

I think it’s always going to be a hit or miss depending on who the comedians are and how the crowd is that night. We went on a Friday night with an older (a little more quiet) crowd, so the comedians tried their best to get everyone engaged and talking and helping them out. Overall I liked 2 comedians the most but all of them were good. I would def go again to see how different it is with different comedians/audiences. Good first comedy show experience tho.

Had a really great night here! Honestly each comedian I saw throughout the night had their own funny charm to them. The staff was amazing!!! They made sure to do rounds throughout the night to make sure everyone was taken care of with drinks and food. The bartenders gave extra love with the drinks as well! Thank you everyone! Can’t wait to come back!

I have gone to the EV location multiple times and tried out this one. We spent good money on our tickets and were super excited. I have a knack for dark humor, so I understood what I was getting myself into. 2/5 comedians (including the host) were super funny. However, the main highlighted comedian was downright racist and offensive. I have never left a comedy club feeling so uncomfortable, and I definitely know how to Take a joke. Other people shared the discomfort in the room. However these comedians crossed the line bringing up cancer, domestic abuse and other topics that were just not funny and crossed the line.

I finally had the chance to catch a comedy show in NYC, and it was fantastic! We had an amazing night filled with great drinks and plenty of laughs.

The drinks were $18, really small and weak, The "snacks" are $6 pack of 4 Oreos that get served late. I got the espresso martini it tasted like chocolate milk. The room is tight, crowded and has no emergency exit. P.S. If you want dry liberal comedy go here! SO MANY better options in the city

Yelp
Came in for a 7pm show and the comedy was great. There is a $20 minimum which they announce several times so nobody is caught off guard. I only knocked off a star because the drinks were really bad.. but you don't come here for a good drink. I wish they had just a few more 'snack' items on the menu.. but for the comedy- it's great and I enjoyed my time

Yelp
Nice comedy club, but I'm pissed that they scammed me into tipping twice, as well as double charged me for tickets. They include an 18% gratuity in the bill, but after taking your card, they present you with a tipping screen showing tipping options. I knew that a tip was included, but I figured this was an option to upgrade your tip percentage, so I selected 20%. Which was an entirely second tip. I checked my credit card to be sure, and while initially they only charged the amount before the added tip, a few days later it was updated to a higher amount, including the added 20%. So they ended up charging me a 38% tip in total- $20.90 plus tax on a $55 subtotal, for a total bill of $80.78 on a $55 subtotal (and one of the drinks was also more expensive than advertised on the menu). And that was for two cocktails and two beers, not exactly cheap prices. Two of my friends made the exact same mistake, independently, so it's not like it was super obvious and I'm the only one that screwed up. It seems obvious in retrospect, but at the end of the night, when you're on the spot, a bit buzzed, and not expecting to be deliberately conned at a reputable establishment, it an easy mistake to make. You think surely they're not going to ask you to give 20 - 25% ON TOP of 18%,without even saying anything, but that's exactly what they do. Search the reviews and you'll see many such reports. And if you don't think about it and never check your credit card statement, you'll never be the wiser. They know damn well what they're doing. They're maliciously taking advantage of our kindness and generosity to cheat us. They could easily turn off or modify that tipping screen, or at least warn us not to use it. It's 100% deliberate, there is no way that this is an accident or honest oversight. Oh, and on top of the tipping scam, there was a duplicate charge on my card for the tickets. That's right they charged me twice- and I purchased 4 tickets, so I got charged for 8. The only good thing about the tipping scam is that otherwise I wouldn't have noticed. Maybe it was just a technical glitch on the website, I remember it timed out on me while I was checking out on my phone, but still it charged me twice, but I only got one confirmation email, and no indication of the duplicate charge. I disputed the duplicate charge with my credit card company of course, and I'll probably dispute added tip already. If you go here, be very careful about billing, check your receipt for discrepancies, skip the tip screen, and be sure to check your credit card statement carefully after a few days! If you can avoid all the scams, and come on a night with a good lineup, then you can have a good time atca, reasonable price. But something about being deliberately cheated really gives me a bad feeling. It's not hard to operate a businesses with integrity, and both the owners and servers clearly are dishonest. Next time (if I ever come here again) I'm paying cash only, but for tickets I will still check my credit card activity carefully.

Yelp
After a great experience at another comedy show, thought I'd try my experience at a different comedy club in NYC. My wife found some discounted tickets for a 5pm show online and figured we'd give it a try. The space is small and intimate, but nice in that regard since you get a clear view of the stage pretty much anywhere. Service was fine. They only swung by a couple times which was nice for me since I wasn't really looking for drinks. There is a $20 spend minimum per person. Fairly easy to hit with only like two drinks or a few snacks. Tip is already included fyi. Food is just popcorn/oreos/sour patch kids at the time of this review. So definitely plan on eating before or after. The main reason for this rating though was just I found the actual comedians very underwhelming and one note. I liked the material the host Ray used, but honestly felt like a lot of the jokes were just not very well composed and I found a lot of them complaining about their love lives a bit boring after the third comedian. I know it takes a lot to put yourself out there on stage, but I just found the jokes a bit lazy compared to some acts I've seen before.

Yelp
Nice club! I came to the Upper West Side location and paid for premium seating. There is a $20 drink minimum. The drinks are ok kinda pricy. They have snacks only no food. I really enjoyed my night!

Yelp
NYCC is great in some respects, and awful in others. To start with the good, there's no bad seat in the place. Each seat has unobstructed views of the stage/comedian, and there's enough space to be able to get up and move around with minimal disruption to others. They also feature some great comedians, and prices are reasonable. We saw Chris DiStefano on a Mon night for about $47pp + $20 minimum food/drink order + 18% tip. The not so good: the mixed drinks were poorly made. My Moscow Mule ($16) barely had any vodka and the ginger beer in it was flat. The Pringles ($6) were mostly crushed chip crumbs, and we weren't given a choice of flavor and were just handed the sour cream and onion. Service was almost non-existent. Our waitress took our drink order before the show started, then did not return til last call, at which point we had to place our second order as the show was wrapping up in order to meet the order minimum. Shortly after, she came back to hand us our bill. In the dark lighting, it was impossible to read the bill, and therefore we missed the part where it said 18% gratuity was included. The waitress swipes our card then hands us an iPad to select tip. Without realizing tip had already been included, we added another tip, totaling a 35% tip for shoddy service. Upon reading some other customer reviews, it seems this is a regular occurrence. NYCC's response seems to be that they post this info on their website, emails, receipt, etc, but the lack of clarity at the time of transaction is inexcusable. Settling bills in the dark and while the show is still ongoing is misleading at best. Update: We reached out via phone call and were told to send an email to them, and they refunded us the overcharged amount.

Yelp
Save your money and consider other comedy show venues in NYC. Here's why: 1. Terrible Ticket Process: Getting tickets was a nightmare. I had to reach out multiple times by email to arrange a group booking for 18 people to attend the 9:15pm show. It took persistent follow-ups just to get a response. Do you even want customers to come? 2. Poor Communication and Timing: I was instructed to arrive 30 minutes before the show. Despite multiple reminder calls from the venue, we showed up at 8:45pm, only to be told we couldn't enter until 9:00pm. This was incredibly frustrating after leaving a local bar to comply with their instructions. We were even told we couldn't wait near the door and were forced to walk a block away. 3. Awful Seats: Despite booking ahead for a large group, our seats were terrible. Completely disappointing. 4. Unprofessional Host: During a bathroom break, one member of our group overheard the host making disparaging remarks about the audience. If you want to be a professional comedian, learn some basic respect. 5. Overpriced Drinks and Bad Service: One couple was told they didn't meet the minimum, despite clearly doing so. They ended up with four waters charged at $24, bringing their total to over $70 for two people. Ridiculous. 6. Distracting Checkouts: Waitresses were closing checks during the last comedian's set, which meant we missed the show. To top it off, they add gratuity to every check (even for one person) without any clear explanation. Then they force a 20%, 22%, or 25% tip on the iPad while you're distracted. It's both tacky and unfair. 7. Overpriced and Underwhelming Performers: At $50 per ticket plus a $20 minimum, we expected top-tier comedy. Unfortunately, only one comedian was outstanding, and one other was decent. The rest were amateur at best, completely unfit for a prime Saturday night show at 9:15pm. In short, this NYC comedy club was a complete letdown--overpriced, subpar comedians, and terrible customer service. We won't be back.

Yelp
It was a fun night, the comedians were pretty funny overall... there is a $20 minimum, the drinks are a little pricey and not exactly a huge glass but they were made well... Our waitress wasn't only taking orders and serving but also was the bartender, she was super adequate and kept returning in the perfect amount of time so kudos to her... The place was very small and a bit on the tight side as it almost was like everyone was sitting on top of one another... Overall, a good time was a had and worth a visit.

Yelp
Before I start, I would like you to know I have spoken with the comedian who performed last night Jess Kirson who told me she adamantly condemns what happened to me at your establishment last night. On 7/30/2024, I came to your establishment with my friend James to watch Jess Kirson. During the set, a man in a purple/pink polo came up to me and told me that I would be asked to leave if I didn't stop. I had no idea what I was doing other than laughing. My phone was in my bag, I was not talking during their sets but rather laughing and enjoying the crowd. At the end of the show, the comedian (Jess) called on me to ask a question, and I told her that she reminded me so much of the late great Don Rickles, and if she had ever gone back to watch any of the old comics who would roast their audiences the way she does. AS SHE ANSWERED MY QUESTION, the manager came back out again, and asked me to leave. She was literally answering my question and I was being escorted out. I didn't fight, or argue on the floor, for I didn't want to cause a disturbance during the show. While walking out, instead of deescalating, the manager chose to 1) not provide his name after being asked several times with a smirk on his face and finally said it when the comic ACTUALLY came out. I couldn't hear it so I asked him to repeat it and he said, 'tough luck', 2) Would not give the stuff I had left at my table back to me (its still there), 3) provide ANY REASON as to why I was being asked to leave as the comedian was answering my question. This was a massive misunderstanding and rather than having a conversation outside, the manager chose to escalate and frankly handle this entire situation poorly. My confirmation as to my being in the right, was receiving a message from the comedian this morning telling me that she condemns what happened to me, has no idea why they'd kick me out, and is so sorry for what the Comedy Club did last night. I have that message if anyone would like to see it, I will also be posting it on every review site I possible can. As a born and raised New Yorker this was my first and absolute last time coming to any of your clubs. Your staff is incredibly rude and unsympathetic. They mocked me, made fun of me, laughed at me, and frankly disrespected my friend and I beyond belief. I still have two vape pens that were left at my table. I have been trying to get them back because one was extremely expensive. No one would assist me. I know there are cameras in the establishment. I am reaching out to let you know, that If I do not hear back, with some sort of explanation as to why my friend and I were asked to leave / update as to where my missing items are, then I will be taking legal action on the latter. I know there's footage in the club. Footage that will prove my entire story. When I said that last night after it finally escalated (due to the manager's incompetence, same manager who made sure I couldn't get his name), I was laughed at. As someone who works in management, the club is doing itself a massive disservice having that man work there.

Austin M.

Yelp
Bizarre and classless money grab from a once respected club. Don't come here unless you want to be shuffled out in some sort of fake panic of an unknown threat. My wife and I left scared, confused, and uncertain of the events. The venue made it seem as if there was an active threat on site. This PR stunt should be classified as illegal and I will be following up with a lawyer to see if there is any course of action to hold management accountable.

Morlene C.

Yelp
I can be a tough crowd. I am sensitive to anything that feels hackneyed and have the sensibilities of a grizzled New Yorker with the sense of humor to go along with it. Even when I do find something funny, you're more likely to get a quick exhale and smile than an audible laugh out of me. Fortunately the comics at New York Comedy Club are of the same New York ilk and know a thing or two about bringing the house down. I have heard friends speak similarly of New York Comedy Club leading me to firmly believe this here is a top tier comedy club. I didn't recognize any of the comics on stage, (not that I'm too steeped in this universe) but none of that mattered when I was laughing my behind off at the jokes being told on stage. The night I visited there were female and male comics, people of different backgrounds, referencing different life experiences. Everyone came off as down to earth and able to read the crowd well. We sat up front but weren't roasted-- not sure if that practice is in vogue now anyway. There's a two drink minimum, which is standard for comedy shows and you can meet with any kind of drink. Servers were on top of things and moved quickly and nimbly while the show went on. I'd recommend spending a night here without hesitation.

Bliss-Ann H.

Yelp
It was wonderful. All of it. The price. The convenience. The small setting. The great comics. The service. All of it.

Tahini R.

Yelp
Had tickets for the 9:15 pm show on a Wednesday night. We went to the one with Akaash Singh as the headliner. The show also included a variety of great comedians such as Negin Farsad, Dean David, and Gibran Saleem. The comedians were really entertaining, and we laughed until our stomachs hurt. It's definitely a fun experience, and would highly recommend it. The line can get a bit long so would recommend arriving between 8:30-8:45 pm for the 9:15 show. The show is approximately an hour and half. Seating is incredibly intimate, and they have a $18 minimum per person spend, which is not too bad, considering some places in NYC require a two drink minimum. The cocktails start at $14 and the snacks were between $5-6, which wasn't too bad. Overall, was a fun experience, and I would definitely come back to the Midtown location for other shows!

Nyc T.

Yelp
What a night of hilarity! This comedy club delivered some top-notch comedy that had me in stitches from start to finish. Not only did I get to enjoy some seasoned comedians who had me doubled over with laughter, but I also discovered some fresh talents who absolutely killed it on stage. It was like a comedy jackpot - every performer brought their A-game, making for an evening jam-packed with laughs and good vibes. If you're looking for a guaranteed good time, this comedy club is definitely worth checking out. Prepare yourself for a night of belly laughs and leave with a smile plastered on your face!

Kathy K.

Yelp
I purchased a Groupon then phoned on the same day for the Tuesday 9:15pm show. The tickets were less than $10 each with an extra show ticket for another time within 6 months. There is also an $18 minimum per person as well. We walked in and was greeted by the hostess. Our names were on the list. We walked past the bar into the comedy showroom. They tried to seat us in the front but I didn't want to sit in there, so we had great seats in the middle area. We placed our drink order, I had one drink $15 and a can of pringles $6. The comedian lineup was two women and two men plus the MC. They all had experience on either Comedy Central or Netflix or another show. They were all different and very funny. After they performed another four comedians performed. They were probably new. They were funny too. It's always fun to do a comedy show in NYC.

Michaella H.

Yelp
This place is an absolute NIGHTMARE. From start to finish, the staff managed to turn what should have been a night of laughter into a night of disappointment. We were sat behind a large pillar blocking the view of the stage, and to make it worse, the security guard stood in-front of the only sliver of a view we had. It made it impossible to enjoy the comedians. The manager moved us at a shared table with two other guests, but we would be blocking their view by sitting right in front of them. So, we decided to keep our original "seats" so we didn't create a poor experience for even more guests. When I brought this to the manager outside, he said "well, it's on you for not taking the other seats". It's difficult to appreciate humor, food and drinks, when you're surrounded by an aura of negativity from ALL staff and blatant disregard for customer satisfaction. Shocking lack of professionalism exhibited by the staff. Our attempts to address the issues we encountered were met with dismissive attitudes and a complete lack of accountability. It was abundantly clear that customer feedback is simply unwelcome. We left before the show even ended, $300+ for the WORST night in NYC. Take your money literally anywhere else.

Mark G.

Yelp
Attended the 7pm show tonight. We were crammed elbow to elbow with others, even though there were open seats in the back. Literally couldn't move to take a drink without hitting the person next to you. On top of the pricey drinks that were not made well, didn't make for a good experience at all. Couldn't enjoy the show. Won't be back.

Priscilla L.

Yelp
Affordable tickets! Get there early to grab a good seat; Although the staff will assign you a seat as they see fit. Beer and popcorn are a must while watching the hilarious show and no phone recording is allowed FYI! Will come back again for another date night

Jason R.

Yelp
In a post Covid world, it's relatively difficult for people to celebrate their birthdays anymore. As I was attempting to decide what I would do for my girlfriends birthday, I decided to see if any comedy clubs were open--they aren't; however, NYCC had two locations were they had an outdoor area, which I was surprised and happy about because she's an avid fan of comedy clubs. I purchased the tickets ($70 bucks..$82 after taxes) for their Saturday penthouse show. For some reason, the location isn't shown and you only find out the location after you purchase the ticket. I found this odd, but nonetheless, I still proceeded. I got an e-mail and ventures last night for the 9:15 show. The shows at the Penthouse location are BYOB. In the e-mail we received after purchase, the e-mail detailed that we must have our masks on at all times (minus when we are drinking and/or eating) but aside from us, I noticed only one or two others did so. We were properly spread out but it would be nice if they enforced their own rules. The comedy itself was average. They had four comedians--we found two of them to be funny, they seemed to be under major time constraints because you would see the host come out frequently to alert them their time was up. All and all, we had a good time, some of the comedians could have been a little bit funnier--I understand it may be difficult in these times as comedy clubs have been closed for months. I also appreciate them even having shows available and giving people a chance for a safe night out and enjoy some laughs.

Theresa A.

Yelp
Came here for a Saturday afternoon show that was $5! The headliner, Bonnie was the funniest of all. I want to say they had about 9 amateur comedians or so. The theme was "hot topics" so audience members can shout out topics they need to speak about. Most of the comedians were about the same ago so they all kind of had the same shtick if you will. Even though the crowd would provide topics, they all seem to gravitate to the same thing. Some of them were funnier than others of course. It is a cozy space and we learned we were one of the few people who were NOT in fact there to do standup. They did have drinks available but no waitress, just walk up to the bar. I would definitely go back.

Allison O.

Yelp
Grand night here. The comedy was excellent, the seating arranged so every audience member feels personally drawn into a conversation with the comics. Service is quick and friendly. Negative being the drinks; altogether made too strong and "terrible" per some members of our group. So come here for the jokes and snacks, expect to drink more elsewhere.

Kat L.

Yelp
Got yelled at for heckling when the host was talking to us...we were in the back row, we might have to "shout out" to respond to the interaction. Trust me, we don't heckle and love comedy. He was very clearly doing crowd work and engagement. Goodness! Totally ruined the fun we had all night unfortunately. Comics were great, though!

Mary D.

Yelp
My friend and I saw Jessica Kirson here last week. We had a good time. The only thing I didn't like is that we were the first on line to check in, but after were told to wait to be seated. In the meantime people who came in after us got in front of us in the small bar area where we had to wait, and then they got better seats. We got seats off to the side of the stage. They should seat in order of check in.I also wish they had food like chicken tenders or something. The only snacks were popcorn, pretzels, and chips.

Moaz A.

Yelp
One of the best in town. I went to the late Saturday night show @11:30pm. The host, experienced comedians, and the newbies were all great. The show runs for around 2 hours, nonstop laughs. The crew were very decent and professional. The room is cozy and takes up to 73 persons, seating is first come first serve, all are in good position to stage. In addition to the ticket, you have $18 minimum charge, I took soda+water+popcorn for $6 each + tax and gratuity, total around $23, they accept credit cards. No food in the menu. I would say 4 out of 6 main comedians were standing out, TV show standards. One out of the 3 newbies is promising star. No boundaries, no correctness. I will quote one of them: "Being offended in a comedy show is like falling in love in a strip club".

Lori S.

Yelp
Great club! Highly recommend for great NYC comedy shows and more. It's not a big place but the laughs are always big!

Asia C.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I went about two weeks ago, it was so hysterical. We wanted a cute, low-key date night and this was just that. The comedians had their own specialties, ranging from TV humor to dark humor, which I really appreciated. There was a minimum per person but the drinks were truly strong and delicious. After the show, we went to the bar where some of the comedians were still hanging around and they were so friendly and willing to engage with us. I will definitely be booking tickets again, totally worth the money.

Cassandra E.

Yelp
Do not come to this place. Security came and reprimanded me and my friends twice over speaking out loud even though the comedian on stage was literally speaking directly to us. I looked over at him a few minutes later and he was busy scrolling through his phone so he probably never realized what was happening in the first place- which isn't really what you want from security staff that you've hired to work at your venue. Then, at the end of the show, some guy that they allowed onstage started making fun of trans people and that's when me and my friends walked out. It is 2023 and you're doing a show in New York City. Don't put "comedians" onstage when they aren't actually funny and have to take cheap shots at people who aren't like them to get an uncomfortable laugh. Never again. Go to Gotham, go to Comedy Cellar - never this place. Never.

Luis M.

Yelp
Had a great time and will go back. These guys are funny. Drinks were good enough and the spot had a chill vibe to relax and laugh.

Stephanie N.

Yelp
Thursday night open mic was great! I laughed a lot and the drinks were good! Will definitely be going again!

Sarah H.

Yelp
I've been hear a few times before and usually have a great experience. They get you seated quickly and the comedians are great. However last night I was only with a party of 2 and we ordered before the show started. We saw parties who walked in late get their drinks before us, so I tried flagging one of the waitresses down who first kept walking and ignored me, so I said "Excuse me" a bit louder cause I figured she didn't hear me. Nope. She shot me a look and said "I see you, hold on" in the rudest tone. My boyfriend had tried to flag this same waitress down a few minutes prior to which we were told "someone else will help you." The behavior was extremely off putting and is not how I want to be spoken to when I am at an event I paid money for.

Gigi A.

Yelp
My friend from Florida was wanted to see Mike Feeney who was hosting a Friday Night show. I'd never been here before and we were really impressed! Walking in, we were warmly greeted by Oz. He explained the rules, very standard - two drink minimum or a pretty neat soda package. If you don't drink alcohol, $21 per person gets you unlimited soda, juice, virgin cocktails and your choice of a popcorn or sour cream and onion pringles. I would have loved this deal while I was pregnant or underage. The comics were pretty funny! All of the seats had great views of the stage. Some of the comics utilized the screen with videos at the end of their act, our view was never obstructed. The bathrooms were clean and there is a secret/under utilized bathroom in the "next door lounge" even though it's in the same building. That bar has lots of seating room if you're on a date but want to keep the party going after the comedy show. I look forward to coming back, especially since our admission got us two free tickets to return another day. Well worth everything we spent and it might be my new favorite comedy club in the city.

Patrick E.

Yelp
Very high price for a line-up of unknown comics. Disgustingly over-sweetened drinks. We bought $62 in drinks but were charged $94. Security guys stood right next to us and anytime we laughed and said something to each other (while everyone in the place did the same) we were shushed and told to be quiet. Awful experience. I will never go again and will tell everyone I know to avoid at all cost!

Yelp
Sadly, they chose to seat me in a bad seat. I said nothing, but then they wanted me to move to a worse one and i refused. Their policy states that seats are assigned on the basis of arrival, but I was told that they have an absolute right to seat you wherever they want. Be aware of this policy.

Yelp
Came in as a couple, too many dick jokes from headliner, openers were great! Food and drinks were fair, service was great! Ended up winning a price ticket to see another show in Washington DC this coming feb but I'm only here visiting from New York. Sooooo... not sure how that's gonna work out since I'll be in NYC during that time.. so... yea..

Yelp
I really wanted to enjoy this club but it just does not deliver. I mean it's shockingly bad. I'm regular at local comedy clubs innthe city and this is least preferable place to be. Simply avoid. Also, this club is hravily contaminated by Wokeness & Social Justice Warrior where most comedian seems to get spot solely based on their gender, sensual orientation, or race. Consider yourself lucky of you see mature accomplished comedian in a line up. Here are things to consider: 1. Ticket price is among the highest, comparing to Cellar, Gotham, etc but lineup is the weakest. The wrost thing is that the most comedians in their roaster are at level of open micers with little or no comedy experience. I won't mind paying more if I see the value but this club never delivered. 2. Their 18 dollar minimum is like 20 minimum with tips and when you include tickets it's like overall 50+ for a Monday show. I won't mind paying that if its a solid line up but there are alot of options in that area which are exponentially better. I would recommend Tara Rose comedy near by which is generally free with one drink or just go to East Village for comedy clubs. 3. Their waiters have habit of charging you for items which were never ordered. Always double check. Also, waiter carry NYC cringe asshole attitude so don't be surprise if you get that treatment.

Yelp
My good friend, Jabriel J., is a big fan of Andrew Schulz, so Val X. bought a Groupon for the New York Comedy Club and booked tickets for his show this past Thursday night. It's a small venue. Tickets were super cheap with the Groupon, we also got seasonal tickets that allow us to see shows as long as we make reservations in advance. As usual, there is a minimum we have to spend on food/drinks, in this case $18. I ordered their special which gets you "unlimited" non alcoholic drinks and a snack. It's not really unlimited since the staff isn't doing as much serving during the show. I was able to get two sodas and a cup of popcorn. The comics were mostly good, some better than others. I enjoyed myself.

Yelp
Friends and I got lucky on our recent trip to NYC because the New York comedy Festival was going on the entire time we were here. One of the venues that was shown up a lot was the New York Comedy Club, so we figured we'd have to try it out. On the day of the show we got out to the club a little bit late, over the staff was able to accommodate us although not without hesitation. We only missed about half of the first exit wasn't too bad, especially given there was five different performers that night. When he was pretty cool. Prices were relatively fair, but there is a two item. We knew all of this going in, but had no problem with it until we got seated and realized how bad the menu was. If you don't drink then you're screwed. They were out of frozen drinks, the only thing we wanted but still enforced the 2 item minimum. The snacks were all crazy priced for small amount. All of this is a bit expected, and not necessarily the real problem. The real problem was the asshole server who deserves never to work again in the service industry. I guess with the mandatory 18% you don't have to worry about good service and there he didn't. He was passive aggressive, consistently ignored us, barely came back and was just rude in his entire demeanor. Entirely the reason for a 3 star review. As for the show it was worth the money and pretty good. Nice to try out a long time comedy venue in the big city.

Yelp
Line up was terrible on top of the fact that they force you to spend $18 minimum per person - and they tack on 18% tip for you. There is no choice at this crooked establishment and they only tell you when you're at the door, how convenient. Go elsewhere

Yelp
Stopped for the virtual show on Wednesday. Great lineup and a fun time if you're looking for a date spot

Yelp
The comedians and servers were great but we happened to be seated near the entrance in the back and whenever we interacted with the comedians (where are you from?) etc the "bouncer" would threaten us and tell us we were too loud. Meanwhile, a drunk patron at the front heckled the comedian the whole show and was never reprimanded. It ruined the whole show

Yelp
Such an awesome venue, and a true hidden gem of New York. It's a must go if you're looking for a laugh and an experience you'll never forget. Staff was super friendly and I can not recommend the place enough.

Yelp
There is a min $18 order when you enter the club. The order and billing is done when the lights are not on, and nobody is telling you that the gratuity is automatically added to your bill; so if you actually add a tip, that is extra to the already added gratuity and the staff won't do anything about it once they issue the receipt! That means you'd end up paying 40% gratuity, with or without your will. So don't be nice with them, they anyway will charge you for it... thieves!

Yelp
If you go at night you can see mostly attractive people say embarrassing things about their families. Sometimes the attractive people are famous, but other times they're just attractive. If you laugh when they stop talking it seems to make the attractive people happier.

Yelp
Came here after my friends birthday! We came here as a group of 6 on Saturday at 11:30 PM was seated at the back altogether. They accommodated us accordingly. Most of us didn't drink so we got the package for non-drinkers which was $17 per person. 2 drinks per person is required in this establishment. However, I think it's fair because all the comedy clubs around the city needs you to get two drinks per person. Overall, it was a great night! The best part of the night was one comedian who was super awkward "Bible Study Leader." Jacob Williams Super Funny. An excellent place to bring your date on date night. One tip: I used "SAVE20" code online to save 20% on the ticket purchase. Use it while it last (: Also, Midtown location is not Midtown it's Kips Bay near Baruch College 24th st east side.

Yelp
This was a very new experience for me.... I flew into NY for my friends bday ...they had plans to come here. i've seen a comedy show once before...in LA ...and like 25 years ago. This was a small venue... we waited in the bar area until it was our time...but there was no bartender ...oh well.. Once we were called in and seated at our table (which i loved our location)...not too close and not too far...nobody on our right ...some tables seemed cramped, but we had a good amount of space. 2 drink minimum...my drinks were fine =) i wish i had noticed the check in offer for free popcorn! oh boo... show was funny..i enjoyed it! i would totally do it again

Yelp
We went to the 9:15pm show on Friday night and every single comedian that performed the stand up comedy was hilarious! There were ladies and men comedians, perfect line up. This is the first time I've ever been to a comedy place and was impressed by each comedian! We got a deal that was 2 for 1 tickets, so it was only $21 per person. Best decision we could've made. There is a 2 drink minimum, but the drinks are only $9-15 each, so normal prices for New York. Also, we checked in on yelp and received a free bowl of popcorn to enjoy during the show! This was great for the group of 7 of us, but it could also be the perfect date night for the couple looking for a night full of laughter! Will be back next time I'm in New York!

Yelp
We visited this location with a group of 6 for my Hubby's bday. The last time I visited a Comedy club was to see my Fav Chuck Nice. Luck was on my side because he just so happened to be featured that night ! Our friends were able to secure seats since we were stuck in some traffic but we arrived a few mins before the show. Front row seats off to the side. The venue itself for me was a great size because it's intimate. I prefer clubs that are smaller and all the seats have a great view of the stage. The hostess took our drink order 2 drink min like any other place. Prices were at the normal price range for the city. As for the show all the comics were great. It was great being able to see Chuck Nice now that Im back in NY. I was also able to snap a picture with him. He was extremely nice and approachable. Can't wait to return since they gave us free tickets to come back for another show. All the staff here was great. We will def be back to this location. My only complaint was that no one picked on me or my husband lol !
