New York On King

My best friend was in the midst of a crisis and needed emergency accommodation, I wanted to take her somewhere nice that would even momentarily take her mind off all the negativity and stress that she was experiencing. So at $350 a night, on a Tuesday I expected a lot more than we received. The room was nice and from a distance seemed to tick all the boxes, however, the gowns and slippers provided were used and had an undesirable odour, much like the pillows which had a distinct smell. The heater was so loud it became more of a nuisance so we opted for feeling the cold as opposed to the headache and annoyance of the sound invasion coming from the aging heating system. The add on Agoda indicated that breakfast was included, not stipulating that all bran, a tub of yogurt and a box drink was what was on the menu. The entire experience was well below average for the cost. Oh and parking is a total nightmare.

First time in Perth at this small 30 room hotel and it’s a ripper , if you like a 24 hour reception and the normal plastic shopping centre experience go to the ibis or Crowne . ||Gary and Anne are lovely hosts the hotel is different , rooms are clean and tidy but you have all the extras , a fridge with breakfast in it , real soap and shampoo in the shower , a toothbrush in case you forgot yours ! Books in the draws , dvds if you want to watch a film ? ||Grab a balcony room for the extra leg room in this 100 year old building ! ||We’ll be back this is a hidden gem , quirky but more personable with a human touch . ||The negative reviews on here are hard to understand ?

Amazing I have stayed in the king's Suit over the past years on trips to work in Perth, fantastic, always accommodate around me and in the heart of King's St, |so easy to get through the city, owners are always available for anything you may need Is always booked so booking on advance is best! 5 star

Host Anne was very welcoming and helpful. |I was able to park my vehicle undercover in a secure area. I was met with a welcome drink which was very appreciated as the day was hot. |The room was awesome - cosy with a gorgeous little terrace to enjoy a book and a drink. Room was clean and well equipped with microwave, fridge/freezer, kettle, cutlery and crockery. The nightstand even had torches just in case. |The property was a short 10min walk to the RAC Arena. |Really happy with my stay and will definitely stay again.

Arrived and was greeted by Gray who was very welcoming and even offered to help with our luggage. We booked the King Spa Suite which was just perfect after travelling most of the day. On reaching our room we were very pleased to see a spacious room and told that everything that is in the fridge is complimentary (milk, breakfast cereal, juice even lollies and chocolate) including welcome drinks and not many hotels offer that. The location was perfect, close to all means of transport, shopping and dinning. After spending two nights on Rottnest Island we were requiring a room for the night before heading home and Anne accommodated us at short notice. If you are looking for great accommodation do yourself a favour and stay at the New York on King you will not be disappointed.

The entrance and decor outside of our room was spectacular, water feature and art works gave a special ambiance. The room however seemed a different story, broken light fittings and a taped off switch, lipstick on the wine glass and a poorly functioning toilet flush did take the shine off the rest of the building.

"FABULOUS LOCATION"||I stayed at the fantastic New York On King for a week. The hosts Gary and Anne could not do enough for us. I had a few days of work and a few days of holiday. Very well run property in central Perth. I stayed in The King suit which has everything anyone could want. Full lounge room, mini kitchen, bedroom and luxury bathroom with spa. Check in was smooth and we had free parking. Lovely toiletries, breakfast and chocolates on the bed in the evening. Super cleaning done every day. Anne and Gary are on had to help you with information and suggestions for your stay. They will organise anything for you. We had an early morning flight and Gary even offered to take us to the airport.||I highly recommend this accommodation. Everything was perfect. We were warmly welcomed by Gary on arrival. He provious with cold orange juices and the apartment was stocked with everything we could have possibly needed…. We wanted for nothing. The room was stunning and location was fantastic. It was the perfect stay for our first time to Perth… we were made to feel very special like it was our honeymoon. Thankyou so much Gary and Anne
