Honestly I had no idea this airport existed until this 737 Max 8 fiasco. I am thankful Norwegian Air didn't strand everyone in Europe, but provided rescue flights to get everyone back home.
We landed at sunset and although not sitting near a window on the plane could see this is a very rural flight line. We had to wait just a short time for a parking position to open up, then the sky bridge was quickly put in place. When exiting, we passed a small area with food, then it was immediately through security (that spot where once you pass it, you can't go back) and on to luggage pick up.
It did take a while for luggage to start coming through the carousel, and then we had a three and a half hour bus ride back to the airport we were supposed to land at, but the airport had plenty of people there to help all us weary, out of place, travelers find our luggage and the buses we were supposed to take. (There were three buses, each going to a different states.)
The restrooms by the luggage carousel were clean and there is a water fountain and a bottle refill there as well. One passenger even found an outlet to charge her cell phone.
This location reminds me of my local airport about 30 years ago. Small, one level, easy to get in and out of. If you are one who does not care for the stress of driving into NY or NJ to catch a flight, it would definitely be worth a drive up here for a much less stressful travel experience.
