Newcastle Inn

First, the location of the Newcastle Inn is perfect! It's a quick drive into Damariscotta or a very pleasant walk. Carolyn and Liz are awesome! They are perfect hosts; friendly, helpful, accommodating and just a pleasure to be around. The Inn is clean and has all the amenities you could want. The breakfasts are creative and scrumptious! There is no other place in the area that we would stay. My wife and I adored our time there.

This lovely inn makes you feel at home the moment you arrive!!! We spent a few days here just before Christmas. Each night the inn was cozy and inviting. The rooms have comfy beds and sitting areas. Our room had a gas fireplace. The breakfast room is sunny and the food was a top notch! Carolyn is a wonderful host who made sure to accommodate our dietary restrictions and even mailed back a charger I left behind in our room. We will definitely be back!

Just back from another great stay at the Newcastle Inn. As always, the inn was warm, welcoming and comfortable, and the breakfasts on both days were fabulous. Liz and Carolyn are incredibly gracious hosts who always make us feel welcome and valued. We've stayed at the Newcastle many times over the years, through three different sets of owners, and we have never been disappointed. Liz and Carolyn have maintained and, if anything, improved the high standard of their predecessors. Highly recommended! We'll be back next year.

Like the other visitors, we highly recommend the inn. Our room was cozy and warm, the bed was very comfortable and the community rooms were inviting. Besides the beauty of the location and all it has to offer, it was the warmth and hospitality of Liz and Carolyn that made our trip to the inn so special. I hope to return again soon.

This was our first visit to Newcastle Inn and we will definitely be coming back! The Inn is charming and meticulously maintained and the innkeepers were genuinely welcoming. Breakfast varied each day and all were expertly cooked and presented. We were there immediately before Thanksgiving and the Inn was all decorated for Christmas - a bonus!

Wonderful 2 night stay at the Newcastle Inn. The owners of this B and B have thought of everything, from detailed welcomes guides to a fully stocked round-the-clock coffee and tea bar. My room was beautifully furnished and immaculate. Best of all the owners are just delightful - it's very rare to find a professionally run establishment with a wonderfully welcoming atmosphere. Lots of parking and easy walk to town. And don't miss the incredible cooked breakfasts! Can't wait to return.

This inn is centrally located in mid-coast main, offering easy access to many wonderful attractions such as Pemaquid Point and the Maine Coastal Gardens. Liz and Carolyn are wonderful hosts who make everyone feel at home. Rooms are clean and spacious. Breakfasts are well thought out and very enjoyable. All-in-all a great place to rest, relax, and enjoy the area.

I checked in to the Newcastle Inn after a rather streesful week, just for an overnight get-away. My room was cozy, clean and comfortable, with a restful shade of soft blue on the walls. I settled in to one of the plush robes provided, read for a while, and fell asleep in a very comfy bed. Next morning, Carolyn fixed me a deliicious breakast, with great coffee, and a lovely view overlooking the river. It was exactly the experience I needed, and so I can highly recommend the Newcastle Inn!

We had a great visit to the New Castle Inn to attend an event in Daramiscotta. Breakfast was great. The hosts, Liz & Carolyn, were friendly and informative.

A truly wonderful bed & breakfast with a welcoming vibe. Carolyn and Liz were fantastic hosts. Their expert recommendations on local dining, sights, and outdoor recreation places were spot on. The breakfasts were delightful. Common areas were comfortable and cozy. We stayed in the Pumpkin Island Room which was newly-renovated and had its own deck with views of the Damariscotta River. Clean, well-maintained, and a short walk to downtown Damariscotta which boasts an excellent selection of dining and shopping places. Highly recommend this inn. We plan to return.

Very clean rooms, ours had a private deck and easy entrance. The location is hard to beat, walking distance to gorgeous damariscotta Everyone who works there is extremely hospitable Julie and Sam etc. Wifi wasn't great and no TVs, so bring a laptop and download some movies ahead of time

One of the best B&Bs I've ever visited. Lovely house, lots of perfect details in our room and a delightful breakfast.

Clean place, couldn't sit on the deck with a drink, staff not pleasant and poor food. With all the B and B in the area you may want to go elsewhere

This is our first time at a B&B and it was a wonderful experience. The owner was very accommodating and allowed us to have our pets. We had a nice room away from the main house that was just perfect for us. We liked having our own separate entrance and the room was clean updated and bed was so comfortable. The inn was warm and cozy and was exceptional in decor and cleanliness. The beautiful sun room with games and puzzles over look the gorgeous grounds and landscapes. The furnishings were Tea, Coffee , Beverages with wines and beers as well as fresh baked cookies daily. The breakfast were fresh with things from the garden and left you wanting more. The exterior deck and outdoor dining were wonderful and the staff top notch. We will always make this our preferred place to stay every summer in New Castle , Maine I only wished we had a bigger TV ..

Absolutely charming old and immaculate inn with superb breakfast included. Very reasonable rates. Lovely river view from breakfast deck. Damariscotta area is charming and unspoiled. Owner is friendly and pleasant (and her dog is very sweet). We can't say enough good things!

The Newcastle Inn was perfect in every way. Very comfortable. GREAT BREAKFAST! The grounds were SO BEAUTIFUL! It is centrally located so you can get to where ever you are going quickly. You could EASILY walk to downtown Damariscotta. Will def. stay again.
