This lake is within the Wellington State Park, NH. Every summer we visit this lake several times. If you love nature and water, this is the place for you and your family. Water is warm and super clear. Canoeing, boating, kayaking, fishing, swimming all are possible. Picnic, cookout, yes!!! Keep in mind if it is a beautiful day, make sure you arrive early. Otherwise the park will be full around noon time. Then it will be impossible for you to get in. Bathrooms & change room are clean and well maintained.

My favorite lake to go swimming in. The water is always crystal clear and refreshing. On sunny days they'll always be boats out and there is plenty of space on the water still. The views you also can't beat here.

Very scenic place. Surrounded by small hills and woods, this place looks like something what you love most. Overall experience at this place is really memorable. A great place to stay as there are few options of accommodations over here. This place is yet not too crowds as few people know this place

One of the beautiful places to go too in NH. The water is the cleanest in the northeast part of the country. Parking is adequate.but the food options are Subpar. Bring food and options to grill are there as well. Nice peaceful atmosphere to be enjoyed with view of the mountains in the back drop

Yelp
What can I say... At first I was afraid, I was petrified, kept thinking I could never live with all that water underneath me and by my side... BUT THEN... I got on that boat, (no life jacket either!!), and then jumped into the water in the middle of the lake after being egged on by friends and lo and behold... I REALLY COULD STAND IN THE WATER!! Are you kidding me? I am in the middle of the lake and the water is only up to my chest, this is AMAZING, can I stay in here all day? I love water but am afraid of getting on boats, and much less JUMPING in the water...but this lake was amazing! Did I also mention that another it met my other large body of water criteria?? You could actually see down to the bottom of the lake where we were standing...um hmm...that's right...so clear, but of course it is! It's one of the 10 cleanest natural lakes in the WHOLE world! Imagine that, in tiny New Hampshire to boot! All this beauty surrounded by large trees, and cute lake houses. Even the islands in the lake looked like mini forests! P.S. Hate to harp on about how shallow some parts of the lake were, but I will because it was pretty amazing to see people standing in the water and playing catch in the middle of the lake, or a man pulling a nice sized boat with his fam on it with the water only up to his waist...it was practically like seeing Jesus walking on water or something!! I had to rub my eyes to make sure I wasn't making this up!!. I've never seen anything like it!!

Yelp
The cleanest lake I have ever seen! Where else can you stand in water up to your hips and still see your feet?! It is great. Small enough to kayak around and not get run down yet large enough to support major boating, jet skiing, and tubing. A great free launch is located at the state park and people tend to use that most frequently. Its my fave place in the summer!

Yelp
Never been here. First time . I've spent days finding hidden trails ... beaches . Islands . It's almost like the last lake that is untouched by society and all the load boats and Comercial crap .. it's back to the old days as a kid when there was nothing better to do but skip rocks . This water is clear . Fish are huge ..... hands down best paddle boarding pond ... along with other water activities June seem to be the best time . It's still quite but the whether is good .. I'll post again after I finish my month stay for my review . This also is a great dog location . I was concerned i couldn't find trails to let them run free cause I have service dogs that are super trained . But I'm finding stuff every day and will blog about newfoundland lake with dogs .. I do wish there was just a few more ma and pa shops to grab something to eat . Bristol is run down and poor and they don't like tourist ..... U have to drive far to get food......there is a grocery store ... super tiny .... but open up ur wallet ... ot go to wallmart in plymouth cause ull be paying an arm and a leg to get a gallon of milk . .... and for u dunkins lovers .... there is one 10 minutes from Lake ..... but otherwise mostly B &B 's The state park is nice 4 bucks to get in ... I'm guessing come peak season it's packed . ..I'm still torn with this lake ... I like the serinity of it .... but I would like to grab a bite to eat close buy . .... otherwise .... this lake is a great family spot ... tons of Lake spots ... water is clear and cold ... hopefully will warm up . Great for fishing ... any guys dream pond to fish .... bring ur own boats etc . Paddle boards . .... there's not many places to rent ... bring ur bike ..... lots to explore at the lake ....
