Newman Hotel

Had to stay here during a maintenance shut. Rooms are convenient, small but really comfortable. Some of the best steaks I had in a long time. Thank you Harry for cooking a perfect steak. Really good quality meat. Keep it up

My room wasn't very clean. The fridge hadn't been cleaned, there is rubbish behind the toilet bowl and the spare blanket wasn't cleaned or folded when put in the cupboard There's dirt around the skirt boards. The food is ok but the food from the pub was yum. The staff are friendly

Rooms are a little dated to what I have stayed in recently. Timber flooring outdide the room requires maintenance a little dangerous. Dinner and breakfast was very good plenty of choice.

Room wasn't cleaned out. Even when I saw the cleaner next door, I asked him if I should leave my room unlocked for him, he told just to lock it, which is fine. But when you come back to your room to find the room not only unlocked but also hasn't been cleaned. Only reason I'm giving stars is because the restaurants couldn't be faulted, food and service both deserve 5 stars.

Stayed 10 days whilst working in town. Had a Donger style accommodation. Definitely needs a renovation. Although it was cleaned, during my stay. The wear and tear on the room showed. The Staff were very helpful and friendly. I ate at the Palms everyday. I could not fault the food. I ate steak 5 times. 4 times it was cooked perfectly. The 5th time. There was a issue with the buzzers. Only complaint, the staff could of yelled out the buzzer number. We were in a mess hall after all. The themed food nights. There was so much choice. Again thanks guys for making my stay enjoyable. Cheers...

Sadly the room i got was very tiny, but it was also not well maintained. We had a couple of cold nights and I grabbed the spare blanket from the cupboard and as I spread it out, there was a lot of dried (human fluids) not sure whether someone used it as the world's biggest tissue, or it was a dropsheet from a Diddy party. Staff replaced it and also did a room clean, so that was a positive. I do have to give them a shout out for the food though, steaks were on point and the brekkie was basic, but cooked well. Actually the staff were all good to deal with.

Fabulous service from Honey & Frazer in wonderful dining room of the Newman Hotel. The refurbishment looks amazing and staff are excellent… been 4 times since renovations and never disappoints.

Orderd scotch fillet 52 dollars and the worst bit of steak I have had for a long time total rip off I dont even think it was scotch fillet to be honest
