“Great selection of Vinyls for all genre” Especially, Dance & House section were great and there is also Japanese house musician’s vinyls. Entire store is well organized and everything is clearly displayed so I was also able to check many local music event information. The owner & staff are very friendly as well :)

Fantastic selection of dance/house/techno music at fair prices. Also very friendly service by the knowledgeable staff. When visiting record shops abroad I always like to ask what is the current favorite record of the staff, and a female clerk recommended me a killer dub techno record by a Japanese producer that I bought instantly! Will come back here again on a next visit to Osaka.

Finally went there today,after researching for a while on where to vinyl dig in Osaka. Staffs was friendly and helpful and we had a brief chat although with language differences. Great selection and very wide range of genres to select for. Will come back again.

Great record shop with well curated selection of electronic/experimental/club/leftfield music. The staff was very friendly and helpful. If you're out for records in Osaka, it's a must visit!

Can't say enough about our great visit to this record store! Amazing selection categorized in a super helpful way, easy listening station set up with full tracks and/or short clips depending on availability, and the shop's staff were hugely helpful. Highly recommend setting aside some time to swing by and do some digging!

Newtone-records is one of only two brick-and-mortar shops you can still find good dance music in Osaka. The store is small but overflowing with stock and you'll find a diversity of underground music primarily on vinyl but some on CD. Their website makes available nearly all titles in the store with samples, so you can browse anywhere. There, you don't need to open up titles out of the sleeves as they have a Mac with a set of headphones that their website's on. You can buy online and reserve titles too. The biggest drawback about this store and others located in Tokyo that sell dance music, is the cost. Titles at larger stores such as Juno are 1- 3 Euros cheaper, but when you factor shipping to Japan, there goes the savings. Recommended if you're in Osaka and are hungry to do some digging. The staff are friendly and some can speak a bit of English.

Walked in late but still managed to cruise through densely packed shop and find lot's of contemporary records of many dance styles. Walked out with a handy package and owner threw in flyers for 3 gigs... Went straight to Club Stomp to audition Soul Fire and Amanita! Great show great shop!
