During a most stressful time in our family we hired Darleen and her staff to help us clean out my mother's house, and auction off my mother's belongings in an effort to prepare her home for sale. During the removal of the furniture severe damage was caused to the home and the job took much longer than expected. From the start Darleen demanded we sign a contract that would have made any damages caused by her staff to be the sole responsibility of my mother. How anyone could even suggest much less demand such a thing was hard to imagine. This was finally removed, but not without delay and drama. Once the house was cleared out we had to insist that the damaged areas be repaired. It was with a great deal of reluctance and delay that the repairs were attempted. The workmanship was shoddy at best and it decreased the overall value of the home. Darleen insisted on her final payment and became difficult to deal with when we refused to pay her until the repairs were done.
The auctioning off of my mother's furniture, silver, and tools was a joke. This was a ridiculously low return and in fact it was so low that we are now being billed for allowing the auction.
I would strongly advise against using this company and warn all who might consider them to assist in "the next chapter" of life. This company is a sham and the most unethical experience imaginable. Please, do yourselves a favor and do not hire these shysters. It is our sincere hope that some how the word will get out and these crooks will not be hired. Our only relief in this matter is that we will NEVER have to deal with Darleen and Her "Colorado Next Chapter" ever again.
