Next House Copenhagen

This was an amazing stay. The rooms are conveniently spaced for a dorm style room. Families can happily use this space. They have so much facilities like gym, Futsal and other game areas. Kitchens need to have extra payment but its a one time payment and we get bands to show we can access the kitchen. The views from the top most floor (kitchen) is so breathtaking especially when it snows. Love how well they have arranged everything to so that people can chill out in the common areas. There is also an Irish bar at the reception. Lockers that can be paid per hour is a bonus. Bus stops right in front of hotel is a big plus. It's a 2 min bus ride to Central station or a 5 minute walk. Breakfast will be provided for an extra fees. They also have pizza nights and such events which is really a great opportunity to relax and meet new people.

Awesome experiences!! Effective self check in, clean and comfortable bed, got many amenities although some require paying (but the prices are reasonable!!) 6-8 min walk to the central station where you can take trains, metro, and bus. And I took 5C bus from airport where they drop you just right infront of the hostel with 30dkk tickets. Very convenient!!

The rooms are great, small walking space but beds were very private and felt like a nice space of your own! The bathroom in the room was great and completely did the job! Always very clean, with everyday a crew coming to tidy up! The shared space was great! There is a kitchen you can use for 2€ per stay, I would definitely recommend! There is lots of ustensiles and utilities! (Plus, there is a gym, a cinema, laundry room, bar, places to sit)

We family of 4 stayed here for 7 days in a private toom. My two teens really love the kitchen. It’s spacious though sometimes a bit crowd. We paid 20dkk per person for our stay (same price no matter how long you stay) and you have unlimited pasta and rice for free. We love the space on the ground floor where people could socialise and chill out. It’s the cheapest stay I can find which is not far from the city. Highly recommend this hostel!

As hostels go, this place was great. The room itself (private ensuite) , although cosy had a lovely bed, storage for our bags and a lovely sized bathroom with a hairdryer. It was very clean and well located, perfect for our long weekend in Copenhagen. Whilst we were quite busy and didn't take advantage of any of the free activities, they had lots of events on, and even stuff to cater for solo travellers. They also had lots of activities like darts, foosball, ping pong, pool table and an indoor sports arena, which were a mix of free and charged. They also had a gym and a communal kitchen you could use for an extra charge (20DKK). The communal areas were also clean. There were several bars, so none of them ever felt too busy and lots of seating areas. There was also a little counter selling sandwiches, salads, pastries etc, and also the Eatery, which was reasonably priced for good food. The pizza buffet was great, and had a nice variety and was very fresh. The breakfast wasn't my favourite, but for the price it did the job if you wanted to fill up before a big day trip. Despite being relatively busy, it was quiet when we were in our room and we weren't woken up at all. There seemed to be a nice variety of people staying, families and travellers of all ages so it felt really balanced and not just a party place. Overall, we had a great stay at Next House, and would definitely book again if we are ever back in Copenhagen.

Great hostel — that is more akin to a hotel service-wise. Rooms are generally small but most of them well kept, cleaners’ schedule is regular and individual bathroom is cleaned every day. The fact that the dorms are all ensuite with an individual bathroom is a big plus. Personnel is kind and caring and willing to find solutions when needed. Some will be more flexible than others though. Downside is the lack of curtains on individual beds. The open nature makes semi-private at best but this is also the description they provide on their website so it is not misleading. Expect to pay for every service the hostel provides. What you pay for initially is the accommodation only. Social vibe is great, regular events organised by the hostel including for solo travellers so that’s a big plus. Bar open late and overall experience great; people are friendly and willing to meet other travellers, the hostel’s organisation is designed to facilitate these encounters. Breakfast is great but not something to be remembered for, there could be more choice. Same applies for the pizza buffet: it is great value particularly because it is an all-you can eat buffet. Laundromat available at the property for a fee. On a general hostel-wise statement, what you are paying for is good value. You are paying hostel price for hotel-like services. Overall experience is great, definitely a place to stay if you are in Copenhagen!

On March 4th, 2026, I stayed at Next House Copenhagen. First of all, I would like to say that I am sorry to have to write this review, because apart from this incident, everything else went well. I checked in without issues, settled into my room comfortably, and the staff were generally friendly and welcoming. However, I feel it is important to share what happened regarding safety. I placed my bag in a locker at 10:54 AM. I am confident it was locker number 161, because I took a photo at the exact moment I rented and locked it. When I returned at 1:54 PM, after being away for approximately three hours, my bag was not in the locker. I checked carefully and immediately contacted the hotel staff. At that time, the staff told me that this kind of incident had never happened before at the hotel. They also advised me to go to the police, explaining that security cameras could only be reviewed with police involvement. Based on their advice, and because the situation was stressful and unclear, I went to the police station and officially reported the incident. The police registered my report and gave me a document, stating that they would investigate the matter. During this conversation, a police officer told me that this was not the first time a similar incident had occurred at this hotel. When I later mentioned this to the hotel staff, I was told that the police must have lied, which made me even more uncomfortable. After returning from the police station, I was informed that my bag had been found. I personally saw it behind the reception desk, in a staff-only area. The explanation given was that my bag had been found in locker number 163, and that I must have used the wrong locker by mistake. I find this explanation very difficult to believe, and I am attaching a photo as evidence: • Locker 163 was not available for rental and could not be opened by guests. • At the time, only two lockers were available, including locker 161. • Locker 163 was not among the rentable lockers, so it was impossible for me to use it. There were no valuable items in my bag. Still, the way this situation was handled left me questioning the overall safety and transparency of the locker system. Although I eventually got my bag back, this incident caused unnecessary stress and made me feel unsafe. The staff were polite and friendly, but the explanations regarding my bag seriously undermined my sense of trust. I regret having to write this, but I believe future guests deserve to be aware and to feel confident about their belongings.

Pros: The 4-people dorm is designd to have privacy (it's not your usual bunk beds, they're more like "capsules"). Comfortable bed, pillow and linens Great location, from the airport I took the 5C bus and was easy to walk around the city. It's a huge hostel, not your typical solo-traveller hostel vibe. There are a lot of families, big age range. Still, I like their effort into bringing people together through events (Saturday Dec 27th seemed like the only day off). Staff is really nice. The sink in my room wasn’t draining and they fixed it asap. I did the free Copenhagen Highlights Walking Tour with Politically Incorrect (recommended by them), and that was so fun that I ended booking the Beer Walking Tour on the same day. Had fun renting their bike The cons: I don't recommend using the pocket next to the bed as it is VERY dirty. The plug is on the ceiling so I recommend bringing a long enough phone cable. The bathroom door doesn't seal completly. Bring your own locker The room doesn't have a chair to sit down (putting boots on while being on the top bed is impossible).
