Room is nice, feels like staying at an Airbnb or Bed and Breakfast. Theres a communal kitchen with basic supplies, fridge, microwave and toaster oven. The breakfast that is included is at a little restaurant nearby. Staff is friendly and checks in every day via WhatsApp to see if theres anything needed. They arent always on site. The post office was closed while I was there and I had asked if they could mail a few postcards for me, I provided them with money for the stamps. I am not sure if they sent them, I am still waiting for the postcards and they did not respond to my whatsapp message after I left. Edit to add: I have now reached out to them via Whats App, Expedia (where I booked through) and via email. I have not heard back at all in regards to the postcards and money I provided them for stamps. I know this was just a favor I asked for them to do for me, but if they weren't able to do so they should not have said yes and taken my money. Very disappointed that my loved ones and I will not be receiving postcards from such a remote place. This has definitely impacted my thoughts on their customer service.

As a single 64 year old, female traveler, I found both the location and Bungalows (room and common areas) to be safe and clean. Either Ricardo or Macarena visited daily. Both speak English well. I had Ricardo's number and email should there be a problem. There is filtered water in the common area. The restaurant for breakfast is right nearby, opened well into the evening and it appears cleaning staff lived next door. You could immediately contact someone should you need to......Beautiful location. You can walk to anywhere in Rapa Nui. The 5 Maoi are a short walk.. Beautiful to see at sunset. Pea Beach is just across the road and to the right of Pea restaurant (as you're facing the water)a small beach area with 3 turtles...One very curious turtle who seemed to enjoy hanging out and checking out tourists. Just enchanting !......Restaurant where you have breakfast is WONDERFUL as are the people who work there. Shout out to Favian, his beautiful wife and daughter. Nice family.......Suggestions:Bring earplugs. A lot of chickens, roasters and dogs on Easter Island. They're all over and you won't find a place to stay that's quiet, so be prepared. Also, a couple days cold water, but Ricardo remedied...Ricardo. I'm 64 years old. I know if you turn the faucet one way, leave it there for 5 minutes and no hot water, you turn it the other direction for 5 minutes. He suggested the second day of no hot water might be me, but I've had many many years taking showers all over the world and at camps! He did fix the problem right away.

Ngahu and Katty’s hospitality is what made my stay in Rapa Nui. She’s one of the kindest people I met during my travels. Whatever request you may have, she’s there to help you. She clearly cares about her guests and wants to make sure their stay in Rapa Nui is unforgettable - including taking me on a secret private tour off the beaten path. The hotel itself is steps away from the coast with the most beautiful sunset, cafes and restaurants. The room is clean and comfortable. Thank you again, Katty, for the most wonderful stay. Rapa Nui will stay forever with me.

This is the best AirBnB experience I have ever had! Katty goes above and beyond as a host! Honestly I couldn’t not fault a thing! I was so sad to leave the beautiful island but also to be leaving this magnificent accomodation! Everything from the airport pick up, to the daily breakfast, to the room, plus access to a kitchen, Katty’s brilliant recommendations and the friendliness of the whole family! An amazing experience in an incredible part of the whole! Thank you so much Katty!

The staff picked us up from the airport and gave us a small tour of the town on the way back. They were also kind enough to give us a map of the island and recommended the must-see sights. The room was immaculate and welcoming when we arrived. It was also was fully stocked of amenities (hot water kettle, silverware, cups, a small fridge, hair dryer) and was cleaned every afternoon. The bed was cozy and we enjoyed sitting on the porch during the evenings and watching the sunset on the ocean. We especially appreciated that the hotel staff were kind enough to drive us to the airport at the last minute to make an earlier flight. My husband and I truly enjoyed our time staying at Te Ngahu for our honeymoon.

My girlfriend and I spent 4 nights at the property and paid around 300 USD all-in, a very decent price. Pick-up at the airport was on time, typical crown of flowers included, and afterwards we received a mini city tour around Hanga Roa. ||||We were upgraded to a cabin with partial ocean views due to works in front of ours, so we started off very well. Location is excellent: close to "city center" but still away from all noise. Our cabin was fully equiped and the bed was very comfy. Shower always had hot water and towels were refreshed daily. Kitchen had all needed amenities. Staff was always very friendly and profesional, for instance during a complete black-out they came round checking on us and provided an emergency torch. Kuddos to the cleaning lady, who daily tidied and cleaned up the cabin. Check-out and transfer to the airport was OK as well. ||||We recommend "Te Ngahu" and we would definitely pick it again if we return to the island.

Facing the ocean just a few steps from the bank and close to the center of town, these cabanas are super comfortable and very clean. Our flight was cancelled and the airlines placed us here, yet the hotel manager took full responsibility for our care, making sure we had a good dinner, a restful stay after the airport debacle, and a solid breakfast. She even drove us to the airport when no one from the airline showed up to fetch us. ||Wonderful service.

We were seven adults, and rented the four bedroom, three bath unit. The full kitchen is pretty well equipped with new appliances. There is a dining room and a small patio, but we chose to sit and eat on the large front porch. Living room is comfortable also. An en suite bedroom is on the ground floor. There is another en suite, with its own ocean view terrace, on the upper floor, along with two more bedrooms and a shared bath. The stairs are steep but with sturdy railings. Overall, a little funky, but clean and comfortable. Added bonus is that the unit shares a wall with the office, so we received the WiFi...it isn’t strong or fast, but does work. The complex borders the ocean. It is about a 10 minute walk into town, and there are many restaurants within 10 minutes along the waterfront. There are several mini markets along the main road in town, within walking distance. Selection is kind of limited...meats are frozen, not too many varieties of fruit and veggies...but enough to allow you to cook your own meals. We took nibbles, some wine, some fresh stuff from the mainland and bought more. Restaurants aren’t terribly expensive, maybe US$15-20 pp for a main and a beer. Hotel shuttle to/from the airport.
