Ngon Restaurant

What I like most about Ngon restaurant is its ambience. Other aspects are critical. I had Bun Cha, and it's below average. Staff didn't accommodate me to a preferred seat in a shaded and more private zone despite having walked in the heat all day. There were a few tour groups visiting the restaurant and walking out while I was eating, which made it feel more like a point of interest instead of a dining place.

It is a very famous restaurant that many people comment and recommend. The price is good and the taste is good also. If will take quite a time to check all the menues. You may ask the clerks, what's recommended to order there. Or just believe your instinct for the foods. If you see familiar menues which you can get from other restaurants, please skip them. You don't need to repeat the same food there.

A popular - touristy - restaurant right in the heart of District 1, with a menu that spans local, fusion, and broader Asian cuisine. The food isn't up to my personal liking but it does a great job of catering to diverse groups. I, however, love their innovative and excellent drink menus (btw the vietnamese coffee is crazily strong!). Service is impeccable. Be prepared for a crowd, this place is huge but super popular.

Nhà Hàng Ngon Great place to experience a wide variety of traditional Vietnamese dishes in one location. The menu is extensive, covering specialties from different regions, and everything we tried was well-prepared and flavorful. The grilled fish was perfectly cooked with a nice balance of spices, the fried rice was fragrant and not greasy, and the clam soup was light, aromatic, and comforting. Desserts were also a highlight—classic Vietnamese sweets done right, not overly sweet. The atmosphere is lively and authentic, making it ideal for both tourists and locals who want to explore Vietnamese cuisine. Service was efficient despite the restaurant being quite busy. Prices are reasonable for the quality and variety offered. Highly recommended if you want a reliable introduction to Vietnamese food in a comfortable setting.

Average food, good environment, very mid service. Honestly could get a way better service within this price range in this city. Arrived around 4pm and all waiters were constantly on their phone. You had to walk to them to get their attention. Took a long time to get the bill. Would not recommend.

Ngon offers a semi-outdoor dining experience that was cool and relaxing in the evening, though it might feel a bit warm on a hotter day. The setting is immaculate .. beautifully decorated and almost like stepping into someone’s grand home. The food was decent, and while the staff had limited English proficiency, they were attentive and helpful. Overall, it was a pleasant and impressive place to dine.

Huge elegant restaurant that feels like a chateau with a massive outdoor seating arraignment. Large menu selection that has a little bit of everything from a vietnamese cuisine perspective. My mom and aunt ordered the hot pot with fish and baked fish, while I ordered the pork in the clay pot. Would definitely go again.

Beautiful space and food is pretty good. Really liked when they opened up the roof in the evening when it cooled down. Quite expensive for HCMC but you’re paying for really nice atmosphere and I think it’s worth it to have a peaceful break. The service was just ok.
