Food was very tasty and authentic. The ambience is very nice and the staff are very attentive. Great place to bring colleagues and international visitors. While this is a little pricey compared to other local establishments, it is still reasonable for the portions (Asian size please).

This restaurant is very popular with both tourists and locals. It offers a spacious setting with both indoor and outdoor seating, kept cool mainly by fans. The staff is numerous and fairly quick, though not particularly friendly. The menu is diverse, and while the prices are high, they are reasonable given the restaurant’s location and reputation. However, if you're looking for typical local dishes at budget-friendly prices, you might want to think twice before dining here.

Ngon is very cool, in the heart of the city it’s a pretty busy place so maybe a reservation might be best. We arrived just looking for a table for 3 and waited a short while (no more than 5 minutes) before being guided to our table. It’s a big restaurant, stunning decor, family friendly with a very relaxed atmosphere. The menu is extensive, there is plenty to choose from, it’s not all traditional dishes, there a western mix too. I can’t remember the dish I ordered but it was a seafood salad, being it was still early lunch time. The prices seemed fair, I guess, it took a little while to arrive (but it was busy) but I have to say I had more salad than seafood and was slightly disgruntled that the balance wasn’t quite there. That’s when I started to question the price. Did I just pay 100k for a lot of cucumber? 🤣 Anyway, delicious as it was I was totally blown away by the decor. The walls are a deep, sensual red, making it ideal for a hot date, the lighting and garden, pond area are just visually breathtaking and really set the tone. I saw many families, a few couples and just groups of friends hanging out so this restaurant really caters for everyone. The staff were attentive and polite and brought out the baby seat for the little one, so we were made to feel comfortable and were never made to feel ignored or forced to holler for anything we needed. A good experience overall, and a happy tummy if not a very appreciative wallet. But you can’t have it all eh!

Authentic Vietnamese food at very reasonable price for such cosy and nice ambience. They served Thai and Chinese cuisine too but I was focusing just their Vietnamese dishes and never disappoint with it. Service was not too bad but can be improved because there were quite busy during lunch time. Food quality is top notch and the price is reasonable. Will definitely come back again

This restaurant offers traditional Vietnamese cuisine and features charming decor inspired by traditional Vietnamese architecture. The seating is small and closely packed, and there is no air conditioning—only fans—so visiting during summer in Ho Chi Minh City might be challenging. The fried spring rolls, supposedly a signature Vietnamese dish, were disappointing due to their lack of crispiness; the skin didn’t crack as expected and stuck unpleasantly when eaten. The fresh spring rolls were also underwhelming, with tough wraps that were difficult to bite through, likely due to being pre-prepared and dried out. The steamed sea snails were bland, and the mango salad was just average. The grilled chicken lacked proper marination, though the boiled chicken stood out with its flavorful and tasty meat. The so-called “king” dish, tapioca with luncheon meat, was bland and not something I would recommend. The spicy fried squid was a letdown, as the overcooked squid became chewy. On a positive note, the baked crab was an impressive dish, although the crab meat could have been more flavorful. Overall, the dining experience was mixed, with a few highlights but many areas for improvement.

Ngon Restaurant in Ho Chi Minh City has an impressively large menu with plenty of options to choose from. The food quality is great overall, and I especially enjoyed the hacao dumplings—they’re generously sized and flavorful. The snail dishes are also worth trying if you’re looking for something unique. That said, I felt the prices were a bit on the higher side compared to the portions and overall value, but the taste and presentation did make up for it. The staff are quick and attentive, which makes the dining experience smooth, and it’s very convenient that they accept card payments here. Overall, I walked away pretty happy with the experience—a good mix of variety, quality, and efficient service, even if the prices felt slightly elevated.

Wonderful Asian cuisine, including excellent Vietnamese dishes, served in beautifully designed interiors. The décor is rich in flowers and greenery – artificial, yet tastefully arranged. Elegant, cozy, and full of details that create an atmosphere of luxury and comfort. A perfect spot for a special dinner

“Ho Chi Minh check-in spot you can’t miss! 💯 The grilled chicken here stole my heart – so juicy and flavorful. Outside seating is super chill with a nice breeze, though inside can feel a bit packed. Totally worth a stop if you’re around!”
