Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge

Great facility, very comfortable rooms, located exactly where you want to be, food was fantastic and staff was very accommodating. Family of 4 had a great time and zero complaints. GREAT buffet for breakfast and dinner, including several main courses to choose from, omelets made to order, etc. We could not have been more pleased. I highly recommend this lodge.

A lovely lodge with wonderful a restaurant that has views overlooking the crater floor. Each room has a view down to the floor of the crater, really a fantastic sight. We found that the rooms lacked good heating, which is a bit of a shame considering the high standard on display everywhere else. Apart from that a very pleasant stay. Staff were very attentive.

Amazing views of the crater! This lodge was luxurious, with balconies overlooking the crater, friendly staff, comfortable beds, warm showers with great pressure and a welcome basket of fruit. The lodge was very busy (peak season), including some larger tour groups, which meant the bar and restaurant were very crowded but staff were attentive and provided excellent service.

Stayed here for 2 nights during our safari. Room was clean and comfortable. Food was delicious. Both nights, Erick, the manager came by to ask us about our stay. Zuhara and Sophia greeted us in the dining room every day and were so friendly and nice. Salvatory also did a great job keeping our coffee cups full in the morning.

We booked this hotel for the view and it did not disappoint! sitting on the balcony sipping wine was the perfect end to the day. we stayed in a suite which worked great for our family of 4 to be all together.

Amazing architecture, the hotel blends in with nature, the best views of the Ngorongora crater, a hearty welcome of African music. The rooms were well heated. The staff, well trained and polite. The dining room has a magnificent view over the crater. The tables were laid with class and the was delicious and of high quality.

Amazing hotel with an amazing view and fun rooms. The only negative was that the room was on the cold side. Even with a hot water bottle, it was chilly sleeping weather- bring pajamas if you visit during the summer. Had a lot of interesting interactions with the Maasai. The restaurant was good. This was my third Serena hotel and the menus are all similar. It would be nice if there was a bit more variety. Minor complaints notwithstanding, a great place to visit.

A huge thank you to the manager and staff for looking after 16 Australian photographers who stayed in early June. The view from our rooms were nothing short of spectacular. The restaurant staff rearranged tables to fit 16 to sit together..The food was brilliant..after a huge day down the crater having an traditional music show was a delight. We hope to stay the 2 nights next time.
