Nguni Restaurant

Located in Plettenberg city center, they have a peaceful inside and outside seating area. The food was really tasty, pricing is reasonable for the quality of food, Service was accommodating, fast and very friendly. They have free parking across the street, they provided a high chair for our 6mo son. Reservation recommended in high season. I‘d definitely come back

Absolutely wonderful - the food, atmosphere and staff were exemplary. We had traditional South African beef spring rolls and then a citrus and coriander chicken with an incredible avocado salad! We had such a wonderful family dinner here and would highly recommend! Siphokazi our waitress was fantastic, so knowledgeable and a great host.

We visited this restaurant twice and if we are in Plett ever again more times will follow. The food is good and the ingredients seem fresh. The wine menu is great. We had the luck of visiting the restaurant on a day when a small wine producer was having a wine tasting for all the restaurants guests. Service was fast and friendly. Only on a busier day them seemed to be stressed and unprepared.

We had a nice dinner in this place, but somehow we felt the whole experience mediocre. Our waitress was friendly, but a bit superficial. Fot example when my partner told her how well cooked the steak is desired, she made a remark if he was sure about that. The line fish was delicious, the smoked ostrich was a bit a strangely plated, but was also really good. Prices are okay, wines are also good.

Wonderful meal which happened to be our last at the end of a two week holiday and it really stood out. Tuna tartare and Ostrich carpaccio starters were excellent and a good size. Springbok and Ribeye steaks were perfectly cooked and sides were tasty. Cape pudding was delicious as was the cheesecake dessert. Good wine list too. Would recommend return if ever back in Plett!

A must-try restaurant when in Plett! The food was absolutely exceptional, with every dish beautifully prepared and full of flavour. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance between relaxed and refined, making it ideal for both a special occasion or a laid-back meal. The staff were attentive, friendly, and genuinely welcoming, which made the entire experience feel effortless and memorable. Could not recommend enough!

Nguni is a favourite of Plett. The prawns they serve are legendary and the beetroot salad is a must. Definitely one of the few fine dining venues of Plett. Well worth a visit.

Went on a date night with boyfriend! Wanted a romantic, cozy spot on a cloudy day. Were welcomed with a warm smile, fast service + food that made us taste + see! Thankyou chéf Caliph + team, it was a feast for our senses!
