"Nhow bar, Zuid. The Rotterdam is a multi usage building, for living, working and relaxing. The Nhow Hotel is housed here, and its bar is accessible to everyone. The Nhow bar has a great metropolitan atmosphere, perfect for having a drink with your friends while enjoying the view over the Erasmus bridge and the city skyline. This icon on the South was designed by the famous Rotterdam architect Rem Koolhaas. Along with the Wilhelminapier, also known as the most modern part of the Netherlands, this is a must see for every city enthusiast. Nice little detail, the illustration which represents Rotterdam on Onthegrid is this architectural highlight."

"What’s the big deal? Nhow Rotterdam is just another architectural marvel — designed by none other than Rem Koolhaas’s OMA, of course — whose ultra-stylish interiors offer jaw-dropping views of Rotterdam’s beautifully restored waterfront, the city skyline, and the swan-shaped Erasmus Bridge. Ho-hum." - Tablet Hotels

We enjoyed two nights here before embarking on a cruise. The hotel is conveniently located right next to the cruise terminal, as well as the QPark garage which is accessible directly from the hotel. The staff in the hotel were all very friendly and professional and they were happy to speak English with us, which we appreciated. Our room was very clean and comfortable and wheelchair accessible. We enjoyed the view of the Erasmus bridge and the harbor area, and we even got to see the bridge open to allow a sailboat to pass, which was a real bonus! The breakfast (which is served in the Elvy bar) is also delicious and offers a good selection.

Great hotel. Very confortable room. Fantastic view over the Erasmus Bridge. Very good breakfast in a nice place. Excellent service. Great cocktails at Elvy Gastrobar. Nice area around the hotel, very good situation. Highly recommand it. Will surely come back if another stay in Rotterdam.

The nhow Rotterdam is an outstanding hotel and I highly recommend it. We were there awaiting a cruise, and we couldn't have been happier. The hotel is beautiful, in the most unique building. The room was spacious with amazing city views (wish we had booked on the river side, but no complaints with what we had). Breakfast is fantastic in a festively decorated room. But best of all, the staff in the hotel makes you feel like you're coming home to family. From reception to guest services to restaurant staff, everybody goes out of their way to make you feel special. From little gifts to personalized tourist information, every encounter was special. Special shout outs to Lara at Guest Relations, Cal in the breakfast room, and the staff at the bar. We couldn't have been more pleased.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel in early August 2025 just before a cruise. It was a great experience and we heartily recommend the nhow Rotterdam hotel. The location is perfect: next to the cruise terminal, restaurants, trams, and the subway. The front desk staff were most helpful and went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. The breakfast was simply wonderful! Fresh orange juice, and a great selection of breakfast selections of breads, cheeses, omelets, eggs, fruits, etc. Don't miss the breakfast! When we return to Rotterdam, we will always stay at the nhow Hotel.

Google
Great location for cruise departures. Easy access via Metro D. Possibly with Tram as well but bridge is under construction. Rooms are good but “cold”. You can’t adjust. Just + or - 3c. The television sucks. Due to lack of bandwidth the picture is often bad. One power outlet is lose in the wall. The telephone is defect. For a simple question I had to go down 20 floors. There is a coffee machine in the room what is great. Good coffee. Plenty of restaurants on short walking distance.

I visited Rotterdam in first time in my life as a business trip. We chose n hotel next to bank side. Hotel is very mode yet comfortable. Rooms are very nice big enough. Common spaces are very modern with exposed concrete walls. Breakfast is real ver good. Big variety of great taste. We enjoy our breakfast on terrace with a spectacular view.

Google
Affordable, trendy, clean and in a great location. The ONLY thing is say could be improved upon is if their grab and go food in the lobby had a bit better selection (they have a full restaurant and room service available. But if you're running to a cab it'd be nice to have a few more options for a quick bite on the go. Overall highly recommend.

Google
Great location, amazing views from the room. Very clean and comfortable. Friendly and polite staff with excellent service. Dog friendly rooms but dogs are not permitted to access the bar or restaurant areas. Brilliant car park, possibly a little expensive but safe, easy access and with the great location. Easy walk into Rotterdam centre.

Yelp
Really do not recommend this hotel. They have a strict policy that if your check in time is 3 o'clock they will not check you in even a minute before 3 o'clock. Although they tell you your room is not ready. Also in an effort to appear hip and modern. It creates some hazards. The foreshadowing was waiting to get checked into our room. I got a man came in with a newly casted, broken leg. In talking with him, I found out he had fallen at breakfast and broke his leg. Ina had to cancel his cruise and go back home. Additionally, in the shower, the water leaks everywhere all the way from the shower into the sink area into the toilet area. The bed was very hard. The room has a cold, modern ambience. There's a huge TV in the room but it only has a small screen on the TV. Additionally, the room is set up in such a way that if you put the lights on by the bed, it puts a glare on the TV screen. The channel connections are limited and very slow. The breakfast was good but not great. It is in a perfect location if you're taking a cruise just steps away from the cruise check in point for Celebrity.

Yelp
Restaurant menu is simply bizarre -if it wasn't so late I'd walk out Who made up this menu??? No wonder the place is nearly empty! Breakfast should be a real treat!!!!

Yelp
Quirky style and random decor but the staff at friendly and helpful and the rooms are clean. I had a lovely view from my small room and o have to say although the bedroom is dimly lit I had a really good night sleep due to the blacked out blinds and silence. Not so keen on the tiny bathroom though. Food and service pretty good and an efficient reception team. Would probably go back when I next visit Rotterdam

Yelp
I am fairly certain there is no better view than a higher floor here looking towards the water and rest of the city. The Erasmus bridge fills the windows and numerous buildings are sprinkled like fairy dust in the background. The rooms are clean, sleek and modern. I will say, unless there are different bathroom setups, this would not be a place to share a room as the shower is see-through to the room. If you haul lots of face and body products and prefer lots of counter space, this would also not be for you. They have coffee and tea stuff in the room and one tiny free bottle of water. One big comfie chair and a smaller chair with the desk. Great modern style hotel.

Yelp
Good God, what a fab view! Cocktails galore, this roof top is on 7heaven (7th floor) walking in front of the hotel is dull and whatever, even the reception area is not impressive (at all) however the bar/restaurant/lounge is fabuloso. With the perfect view of "the swan/Erasmus bridge, it is one of the best place for cocktails and sunsets. The staffs: imagine a total Dutch man blonde, tall Etc name Yoki (Nintendo much, mom, dad?) I would love to be there on a Friday or Saturday night, the staff looks like fun. The toilets are very clean Would I recommend: yes, for cocktails & sunset and maybe dinner. Will I go back: yes, next time on a Friday night.

Yelp
GO HERE! I went here 15/03//2014 at night. With no expectations, just the desire to drink cocktails and look pretty. And that worked out great :) I was immediately charmed by the welcoming atmosphere, friendly bartenders and enticing music (a DJ Blunt tried out a refreshing repertoire). I started with a Rude Cosmopolitan and my friend had a Cava and some shrimp-croquettes. All very lovely. The crowd was various; some chique and some casually dressed. But keeping the setting in mind I advise dress to kill, you'd do yourself a favor. Don't let the fact that it's not situated on the umpteenth floor misguide you; the view is spectacular non the less! We left after about 1,5 hrs in a mission to find other hip bars in Rdam but failed horribly at it, confirming our presumption: we should've stayed here forever!

Yelp
Great location. Super modern building on the south side of the Maas river. Just in front of the Erasmus bridge. Awesome view from your room, all over the 8th floor. Rom are really spacious and modern compact design with all the latest amenities comprehensive of free wifi. It si a 4 star hotel perfect for business meetings but also if you are just visiting the city. Few minutes away walk from the centre, just beside the Luxor theatre, Hotel New York and easy water taxi ride to the old Rotterdam marina. Breakfast continental and British with a modern style. All industrial look and feel. Average food quality but over all good. The bar on 7th floor had become a trendy spot for Rotterdammers to hang out, specially when nice weather with a great terrace overlooking the river and the city skyline.

Yelp
Last night a co-workers room was robbed at this hotel with numerous items taken. The front desk did not take any proactive steps to address this issue or enhance their security measures. I highly recommend not staying here!

Yelp
Absolutely LOVE this place. Though it's a bit far from the city center it's absolutely worth the 'trip'. Situated in the largest towers in Rotterdam, this bar is what I consider a somewhat more high class environment to go for a drink (or very nice coffee!!). The view is absolutely amazing (especially in the evening) and I like how the entire area is very spacious and modern. The bar is the best looking one I've ever seen with soft lightings ranging from red to green. Personnel is extremely professional and friendly - you can really tell that they are trying to servce you as best as they can. The only thing I don't really like is the lighting. At night the ceiling light are extremely bright and though that might sound trivial, it really makes you a bit uncomfortable if you are sitting right below a pair of these 'interrogation lights'. That being said, I still visit this bar quite often :)

Yelp
We stayed here with our 16-month old son for 3 nights in May and our experience at the nhow Rotterdam was extremely positive. CUSTOMER SERVICE: Their customer service is the equivalent of the Four Seasons, without the high price tag. When we checked in, they advised us that they were running low on baby cots. They called to another hotel and picked up the cot and delivered it our room within an hour of checking in. They made up the cot nicely, and our son was extremely comfortable and content sleeping in it. The first night we walked down to the bar/restaurant to get a small glass of milk for our son to help him sleep. A very friendly employee named Sveda, brought a brand new carton of milk from the kitchen and generously gave it to us for the remainder of our stay. We were able to keep it cold in our room's mini fridge. On our second night, our son became ill. We phoned our pediatrician in the States who advised us to take him in right away to the hospital. We called reception who, not only researched an emergency room that specialized in children's care, but also phoned ahead and explained in Dutch what was wrong with our son. They also arranged a taxi cab to take us to the hospital immediately. For the rest of our stay, the employees continuously asked us how our son was feeling. The third morning, we found out that the dry cleaners never picked up our laundry from the hotel. Realizing the mistake, the front desk asked their associates in laundry to launder what clothes they could. A woman from front desk came up to our room to explain the situation in person, and even brought us small gifts. We really appreciated that they took the time to correct the situation. DESIGN AND CLEANLINESS: From the moment we walked into the room, we were blown away with the design and cleanliness of the room. We felt comfortable letting our son walk around the room and explore without thinking I needed to disinfect the room. The design of the room was really smart and thoughtful - possibly the best I've ever seen (and I've stayed in at least 100 rooms over the course of my travels). VIEW: We opted to pay a little extra for the SUNSET room and we're so glad we did. We had a perfect view of the bridge, water and sunset. We felt so spoiled by the view. EXTRAS: We purchased the package which included Wi-Fi, breakfast, and all-access mini bar. It was well worth it. The mini bar was well stocked with drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, as well as snacks. The expansive breakfast far exceeded our expectations. It included custom ordered eggs/omelets, pancakes, bacon, rolls, breads, pastries, fruits, oatmeal, meats, cheeses, a juice bar, teas, champagne and two DIY espresso machines. RESTAURANT: My only complaint about the nhow Rotterdam was the restaurant. I went with my son at 6pm on Saturday evening we were the only ones there. After waiting 45 minutes for my entree to arrive, I got up and asked the waitress to send the food to my room. When I finally got my entree, the duck, it was extremely over-salted. After paying 20 euros for a barely edible dish, I could see why my son and I were the only dinners that night. BOTTOM LINE: We were really happy with nhow Rotterdam and would absolutely stay there again (and just eat elsewhere!).

Yelp
This review is for the bar and lounge. The views of Rotterdam can't get much better than. The bridge, river, and city can all be seen from the patio. They even offer blankets for the colder days. Even if it's just for a quick photo opp, make it a stop.

Yelp
The perfect getaway from our hectic daily life... We enjoyed our in this beautiful hotel. With a view to die for and bed made out of clouds.. It was a sweet place to call our home away from home!

Yelp
I stayed two 2 days at this hotel in Rotterdam, first issue was that there was no one to help you with the luggage, basically they don't have anyone! very hard and expensive $$ parking where you have to carry out your stuff all the way from parking, stairs to the room. when arrived in the room it was tiny and not comfortable at all. the free internet let you only check your emails with a modem speed and for the real internet you have to pay. Hotel price compare to other hotels is really high... you still need to pay 19 euros for the breakfast where you have to tell what time you go because its busy and lines...I do recommend you to search further and get some place valuable for your money.

Yelp
Just fir the amazing view over the Maas its worth to Visit. The food is delicious but not much to choose from and prices are not for just a normal diner. The service was excellent and you cab enjoy a nice cocktail afterwards at the bar.
