Real Buffalonians know that the American side of the falls is better because it's a state park, and not some weird Halloween themed circus.

Loved this state park. A MUST DO if you are remotely close to the falls. It's easy enough to get to, just out of the way from most everything. Very nicely done park, with great amenities and walkways and viewing spots of the falls. We stayed on the American side and went on the Maid of the Mist. A great ride but a bit scary when they get close to the horseshoe falls and just hang there for about 5 minutes. It's great fun to get all wet and experience the power of the falls close up. We had to park outside of the park and it was pricey @ $30. The Maid of the Mist ride was $30/adult but well worth it. Very well run operation.

Loved this state park. A MUST DO. It's easy enough to get to, just out of the way from most everything. Wonderful park, with great amenities and walkways and viewing spots of the falls. The view points are great, there is shuttle that takes you to those points as well. A must do is the maid of mist and cave of winds. Parking is available outside and lots of shops to get food . Plenty Seating is available in the park.

I love this place, especially the American side. This is laid out like a state park so while you're at the actual State Park it is very open, clean, and safe. It is very well lit and there is food options here as well as activities. You can stop here at almost any time of the year and have a good time, it is honestly beautiful at all times of the year. The views of the falls are amazing and don't forget the American and bridal falls which are all in the same property.

Google
What a beautiful park, with craft booths, clean restrooms, nice walk along the river to the American Falls. We got some great photos but were disappointed that construction work closed the closest view of the falls, so we had to pay to head up the observation tower, only a buck 50 each but the construction equipment was still in our photos. Love this place, it was a great stop along our route across America.

Experiencing Niagara Falls from the U.S. side is nothing short of awe-inspiring. The sheer volume and power of the cascading water is overwhelming—in the best way possible. Riding the boat that takes you right into the mist, you’re enveloped in a thunderous symphony of nature, with the falls towering over you in all their wild, majestic glory. It’s an unforgettable sensory rush! The scenic trails around the area offer equally captivating perspectives: from elevated overlooks to hidden forest paths that suddenly open up to panoramic views of the falls. Each vantage point adds depth to the experience, showcasing this natural wonder from dramatic and peaceful angles alike. Whether you’re up close getting soaked or gazing from a distance, the beauty and force of Niagara truly leave a lasting mark on your memory.

Google
The Unforgettable Spectacle The sheer volume and force of water cascading over the Horseshoe Falls (Canadian side), American Falls, and Bridal Veil Falls are truly breathtaking. You can hear the thunderous roar long before you see the mist rising into the sky. The beauty is amplified by the constant rainbows that dance in the spray on sunny days. Whether viewed from the brink, from a boat below, or from an observation tower, the scale of Niagara Falls is humbling. Niagara Falls is an absolute must-see for anyone seeking to witness the raw power and beauty of nature. While the surrounding tourist areas can be a bit commercialized, the sheer awe-inspiring presence of the falls themselves transcends any distractions. It's a sensory journey that will leave you soaked (literally, if you do the boat tour!) and utterly amazed.

I am absolutely impressed by the magnificent views! And special thanks to all organizers who maintain this place. Visiting Cave of the Winds is quite convenient according to scheduled tickets. Maid of the Mist Boat Tour was shocking and showering) Don't forget to change your snickers for flip-flops 😉 before you are on board! PS: If you need drinking water, welcome to Visitor Center, the first floor

Visiting Niagara Falls State Park was an unforgettable experience! The park is clean, well-maintained, and offers incredible views of all three waterfalls—American Falls, Bridal Veil Falls, and the majestic Horseshoe Falls. There are plenty of walking paths, scenic viewpoints, and photo spots that make it easy to enjoy the beauty of the falls up close. One of the best parts is Goat Island, which gives access to Terrapin Point and Cave of the Winds—both offering thrilling, up-close encounters with the rushing water. The sound of the falls and the cool mist create a powerful and refreshing atmosphere. The park is free to enter, with paid options for attractions and parking. We went in the evening as well, and seeing the falls illuminated at night was truly magical. This park is perfect for families, couples, and solo travelers alike. Whether you’re walking the trails, taking photos, or just soaking in the view, it’s a peaceful yet exhilarating experience. Highly recommended!

Yelp
Niagara Falls State Park is now at the top of my list of favorites! The park is beautifully maintained and offers stunning, free views of one of the world's most awe-inspiring natural wonders. Standing before the falls is truly an unforgettable experience! Looking forward to visiting again & seeing areas that were currently under construction.

Yelp
This park is more for locals who want to take people visiting them someplace interesting. It hasn't been a national or international destination in a long time. Back in the 1970's, my parents would drag me here so they could meet people, after reading about stunts they used to do here. More recently, you can sort of tell the effects of large numbers of tourists. Folks in Buffalo don't think about the waterfall that much. Local bars are a lot more interesting. IBM'ers apparently think about this place a lot. There's a legend they designed part of OS/2 here or something.

Yelp
I have been here several times and love it. The waterfall views are beautiful. My favorite thing about this park is the network of trails through the trees with little overlooks spots next to the river. Squirrels, seagulls, and occasional Canada geese are often nearby (but do not feed them). The pathways are wide and paved, with plenty of options for mobility-impaired people to see a lot of the views too. The rapids in the Niagara River are fun to watch and different every time I go depending on how much rain there has been recently. During the summer there are ice cream stands open, and sometimes special events happening. The pathways are kept very clean - staff does an amazing job keeping this place looking great. Bathrooms are available in several places and are well-marked. There are a couple of gift shops with all the touristy stuff you could think of. If you have a current passport, you can walk over the bridge to see the falls from the Canadian side too, no need to drive across. Bring cash, there is a toll for the bridge. Right now there is construction blocking off one of the best viewpoints and it looks like that is expected to last for at least a year, but there is plenty else to see and it is still very much worth the trip. There are extras that cost money (going out on the boat, climbing down the stairs to get drenched by the waterfall, etc), but the only required cost is parking which is $10-15 per vehicle I think depending on the day.

Yelp
The falls is amazing!! If you are planning to go to buffalo ny, this is the perfect place! But, if you are planning to go in the snow, BRING GLOVES AND SOCKS

Yelp
Gotta check this place out if you're visiting New York. It truly is an amazing sight to see in person. We didn't do the boat ride which costs like $30.00, but it does seem pretty fun and they actually stay by the falls for quite a while. It only costs $1.25 to go up to the observation deck. There's some different vantage points of the water and falls, so make sure you don't just stay by the visitor center and make sure you walk to the different lookout points all along the river. A really cool experience. You can also drive over to the Canadian side and get a different vantage point of the falls, but make sure you bring your passport and the main parking lot there is also a little limited and around $25.

Yelp
One of my top bucket lists and boy it was worth it. Lots of walking to do, beautiful landscape and of course the amazing falls. They have a few restrooms, maps of the area and a trolleys you can take to Goat Island for a fee. You can also purchase trolley tickets at the visitors center and near the trolley location. You can also walk the bridge over to Goat Island. Beautiful to see and privileged to check this off my list as done Things to know: Cost money to go to the Observation deck. We waited until 4:30pm and all was open for FREE! Construction going on and main viewpoint was minimized. They have ice cream, lemonade, etc. and local vendors selling near view point. Wheelchair and stroller friendly. The have telescope view for a fee. Love it and recommend

Yelp
This park is a must-see at least once in your lifetime. The park is clean, spacious, and has tons of spots to get some gorgeous pictures. It is really crowded during the spring/ summer seasons. However, you can spend time in the park, and it's spacious enough for you not to be bumping into others. Some of the things you can do include the famously "maid of the mist" where you're on the boat cruising as close as they allow you to the falls. You can check out the "Cave of the winds" where you take an elevator and then walk up some wooden stairs with a guide to the "hurricane deck" and you're like 29 feet from the falls. I saw people doing the zipline near the falls. They have the observation tower that gives you amazing views from up top. There were places for you to get water, snacks and food. There were tons of parking within walking distance of the park. I would visit this place again and again.

Yelp
Last year, we drove up from Ithaca to visit Niagara Falls before the fall semester began, and it was an amazing trip. My sisters and I not only enjoyed the main attraction but also spent the day walking the trails and exploring the surrounding area. The trails were a blast to explore, and we even stumbled upon tiny waterfalls -- SO cute haha! -- along the way. While there are bustling areas full of people, there are also more relaxed spots. We found a peaceful area with trees and grass to sit down and unwind. Next time, we plan to visit the Canadian side, as I've heard it offers an even better experience than the New York side! Fun fact: The Canadian side is home to the Horseshoe Falls, the largest of the three waterfalls, known for its stunning views and vibrant nightlife. We also enjoyed browsing the charming gift stores, which are perfect for picking up souvenirs. Overall, it was a fun and therapeutic trip. If you ever visit, don't miss the chance to ride the Maid of the Mist boat tour - it's an iconic way to experience the power and beauty of the falls up close!

Yelp
While up from H-town (Houston, TX), we took our family to see the 8th wonder of the world. I don't think I have ever explored the American side of the Falls, we always would go to the Canadian side when we were younger (when you didn't need a passport to go to Canada). We came on July 5th and we were not sure if it was SO BUSY because it was the day after a holiday or if it's usually that busy but let me tell you... it was PACKED here. We planned to go on the Maid of the Mist but the line was so long, it probably (our estimate based on the length of the line) would have taken at least 3-4 HOURS. We decided against it in 90+ degree heat. The park was nice. The main "negative" is that we literally ONLY saw ONE drinking fountain. ONE! The line was long but we had to wait. Luckily there was a bottle filler on the fountain as well. So glad we came here!

Yelp
Amazing breathtaking view!! Although the weather wasn't the best the view is simply spectacular!! Worth the 7 hour drive!! Can't wait to come back!!

Yelp
We decided to go see Niagara falls on both sides. New York and Canada. Paid $5 toll on the bridge and go through customs. New York side is nice, has a huge park. Tour guides and boat ride available. Canada side is also nice, we see more of the drop. There's a food hall and shopping area and a ledge for tourists to take pictures.

Yelp
We Stayed on the Canadian side of Niagara Falls. The Falls during the day took my breath away. I truly did not think fireworks at night could top it. Well, I was wrong. It's a completely different experience and one that should not be missed. The fireworks began at 10 pm. The fireworks at night are mesmerizing and if on the Canadian side, it provides a full view of each display with it illuminating in the water. The crowds were not unreasonable, and we were able to get a perfect view of the fireworks display

Yelp
Loved it here. Loved it. What's not to love? Paid parking is plentiful. Not hard to find your way around. Postcard photos at every angle. Pay a buck and a quarter to get on the observation bridge. It's worth it. The buck and a quarter also gives you elevator access to the gorge at the bottom, where you can get real up and close to the falls. Watch out for the spray! For the adventurous type, you can cross the bridge to see the Canada side of the falls (the fall on that side is much more scenic and larger). There's a couple of casinos at that side as well. Just don't forget to bring your passport and ID or you're stuck! Really nice gift shop as well, so it's a good way to spend a day or half day relaxing near one of the natural wonders of the world.

Yelp
Me and my friend decided to take a day trip to Niagara. Mother Nature at her best. It's free to enter the park. They have a Dining area near the information center and they have vegetarian/vegan options as well. I recommend doing the Maiden Mist boat ride ($30 per adult) and also walking over to Canada ($1.00 per person. Cash only)

Yelp
There was a light snow falling when we left for Niagara Falls. The inclement weather kept the visitor level down to a very bare minimum. It was spectacular sight to see the falls and feel its fury. The viewing area was closed and across the street was Ontario, Canada. It would have been nice to visit the Observation deck. The deck was however closed at this time of year. There is a small fee charged for parking. The kiosk only accepts credit cards for parking. Free WiFi.

Niagara Falls is a breathtaking natural wonder with stunning views and plenty of activities to enjoy.

Yelp
I can see why Niagara Falls is such a "must-see" place. We spent time on the US side and the Canadian side, and it was quite a view - words really don't do it much justice. It really is majestic, and will leave you breathless. You can get a ton of pictures from all over the park. While the US side is quite nice, and you are definitely closer on that side, the Canadian side offers a much better view. If you can, you really need to see it from that side to get the full effect. And if you have the time, the Maid of the Mist is simply a must. It is worth it to go down on the water / among the falls themselves, though if you're going in the winter - make sure to dress warm / bring waterproof clothes so you don't freeze! Definitely come to see the Falls. You won't be sad that you did - it is basically a bucket list type of place.
google avatar

Benjamin P.

Yelp
The good: Falls are beautiful. Yes, the Canadian side has a better view but the US side is still stunning. The main lot is $5 and there's plenty of free street parking nearby. So this can be a cheap trip if you so chose. Its clean Lots of paths for walking and viewing the falls and rapids / river. Bad: You look across to the Canadian side and Clifton Hill looks like Vegas. You turn around on the American side and well, yikes. No playgrounds. And very minimal activities for children if the usual attractions are closed. Will I be back soon? Yes. Will I walk across the bridge to the Canadian side? Probably

Yelp
Incredible!! Such a beautiful park. So well kept. The landscaping is so nice, so many beautiful flowers. Gift shops, activities, and food options here.

Yelp
Love coming here every time I come up to Western New York. The park charges by the hour to park. There are a couple gift shops and a restaurant to eat. In the summer there's a lot of tourist. They have cave of the winds and maid of the mist. If you have never done it I would highly recommend. There are plenty of trails to walk around in the park. There may be bike rentals but I'm not sure. There is a trolley rental, bus rentals and walking tour. They do have restrooms, most of the park is handicap accessible. At night they display lights on the falls and they do fireworks during the summer at 10pm I believe. Definitely check it out if you're in the area, one of the seven wonders of the world.

Yelp
We live in the area and come here every month at least a few times. The current Niagara Falls State Park yelp page is stuffed with thousands upon thousands of images from visitors to this fabulous park. I am starting up this yelp page so YOU can post ONLY your memories, videos or pictures of the FIREWORKs you went to the Falls to see, and your comments and/or photographs of what you saw during the fireworks show. Post them here please! I'll start this off with my fireworks pictures at the Falls, so you'll have something to see and enjoy in the meanwhile! If you want to review or talk about any other aspect of the park, please post it at the original yelp page for the state park: https://www.yelp.com/biz/niagara-falls-state-park-niagara-falls-2 Please remember: post here ONLY pictures of your fireworks pictures, nothing else! Thank YOU for visiting the Niagara Falls State Park, and hoping you enjoyed your visit! to see the fireworks at the Falls. Summer: the fireworks show usually starts in May and runs through October. The shows will be late at 10pm. All fireworks are launched from the Canadian side near the loading docks for their tour boats. I do NOT think the fireworks can be seen from Goat Island. IF you can see ALL of the Skylon Tower, you should be able to see the fireworks. Winter: the fireworks show usually starts in December and runs through January. It'll be cold so dress appropriately. If there is snowfall, it may be plowed/shoveled and just stay off the ice to prevent the chances of falling on ice/snow. You'll need to wear shoes that are warm and have good textured soles to provide good support, grip and traction in snow/ice to prevent falls. During ANY season, do not walk on the grassy areas, especially where the grass is on a slope. There has been falls, so just stay off the grassy areas. Especially at Terrapin Point [Goat Island] the mist of Horseshoe Falls keeps a fine layer of mist moisture on the grassy areas which makes it more slippery. Please STAY OFF the grass!! Just keep an eye on local area news/weather for updated forecasts and dress appropriately, and enjoy!! Winter at the Falls is a sight to behold! Thanks for visiting the Falls of Niagara, and enjoy your visit!! https://www.niagarafallsusa.com/niagara-falls-state-park/illumination-fireworks https://www.niagarafallstourism.com/fireworks

Yelp
American Falls, Bridal Veil Falls, and Horseshoe Falls: the stars of the show here. Many many many different vista points for these falls and the falls are even worth viewing at night as they're lit up in rotating colors. The park as a whole is very clean and well-kept. The fresh air here also makes the park strolling quite satisfying. There are a few main attractions at this park. The most popular one is the Maid of the Mist (operates both on the U.S. and Canada sides) where you ride a boat and go up real close to the falls. My favorite attraction is the Cave of the Winds; it's on the U.S. side and you pretty much get soaked as you walk some stairs to reach the bottom of Bridal Veil Falls experiencing the falls' exhilarating rainstorm-like wrath (gotta be crazy to do it haha). Both of these attractions have their own Yelp listing if you want to learn more about them. So, I guess the real question is which side of the park do I prefer: U.S. or Canada? Hmm...overall I'd say Canada lol mainly because it has a frontal view of Horseshoe Falls (the largest falls out of the three). Just breathtaking. Not to say that the U.S. side has bad views of the falls. The U.S. side also has amazing close-up views of the rapids that lead to the falls. Definitely a fantastic destination for a small relaxing getaway (I'd say 2-3 days is enough time to experience the majority of the park's offerings at a leisure pace.....could easily be a day trip for those who can drive here and plan to visit only one side of the park)!

Yelp
Water has a long history of being attributed to many strong and positive effects - from being healing and transformative to abundance and prosperity as well as some negative and dark energies. Whatever you think about these beliefs, I know I came here for one purpose alone: to let the deafening roar of flowing water calm this deep anxiety in my heart. Water (oceans, rivers, or falls) has always done that for me and I came trusting that it would be the right amount of decibels to reshape my turmoiled heart and mind. It is, after all, the biggest waterfall by volume and width in the USA. Here, I found my bearings again listening to the roar of water at the two falls as well as the calm moving water as I trekked down the gorge. It really was worth the visit. Just make sure to do it on a weekday as it was such a smooth and quiet experience here when visiting on a (non-holiday) Monday; far from all the horror stories I've heard from past visitors who visited on a weekend.

Yelp
This is a beautiful new building within Niagara Falls State Park near the falls. It offers plenty of seating, a snack bar, store, information areas...a cool stop on a summer's day or a warm stop on a brisk winter's day of viewing the area. The bathrooms are the stand out. Unisex, which confuses some people, but are really nice. Rows of separate "rooms" housing the toilet, rows of sinks with the water soap and dryer right at each sink. Pretty cool, the convenience is great. There's a water refill station right out side the entrance to the bathrooms. This is perfect for bike riders as the path goes right past the building. Rest, use the facilities, fill your water all in one stop. It's also the meeting place for many of the parks programs. The only thing I would like to see would be bike racks for locking your bike securely...especially at the lower falls side entrance where the bike path is....there are racks in the park but not at this new site where they're needed.

Yelp
The park is phenomenal, well laid out and maintained. I was sad you have to buy tickets on the boat to get to the lookout point. The parking and bathroom facilities are very well maintained and good accessibility for a park. My big downpoint is the lack of signage. I really wanted to get to Parking Lot 2 but didn't see any signs and saw many of us tourist cars slowly wandering and trying to figure out which way to go. I got to parking lot 1 instead and we walked across the bridge. Some solid directional signs would go a long way I think.

Jake J.

Yelp
I don't think you can do much better than a free park with a spectacular natural sight. As many tourists (and locals) will very clearly let you know, the Canadian side is objectively better. However, that doesn't mean that the U.S. side doesn't have anything worth exploring. The views are magnificent, especially from the observation tower. The park also gives a great walk through nature which was very enjoyable. We came in the wintertime, which gave us significantly less to do, but we still had a great time. Visiting in the summertime is much better. If coming from November to April, be sure to wear wind-shielding clothes. As the wind chill around the falls is killer if you aren't prepared. I honestly wish there was a little bit more to do in and around the falls, but again, I can't argue against a free state park.

Yelp
After exploring Niagara Falls on my own during the break I had during my Zoom Tour, my Zoom Tour group later brought all of us to watch the Niagara Falls Illumination & Fireworks event for the 10pm show from the Canadian side. We arrived at the viewing area around 9:55pm on a Friday and there was already a lot of people so it was a bit crowded. The Niagara Falls Illumination part of the show was the color changing waterfall from a light that shines on it. The waterfall was already lit in the different color changing colors for the falls before 10pm. Once it was 10pm was when the fireworks part of the show started while also having the illumination part happening simultaneously! They didn't play any background music for the show, but I think it would've been a lot better if they did. The fireworks show was a lot shorter than expected and was only 7 minutes long. Anyways, it was still a cool experience seeing both of these shows at the same time and all the different colors. It was a clear day when I went, so the fireworks were big and easy to see too! I'd recommend this experience! Niagara Falls is super pretty at night and this show is free too! I also liked how it's not just a fireworks show, but also an illumination show on the waterfall too! I only wish the show was a bit longer with background music.

Yelp
I've always wanted to visit Niagara Falls so I'm happy to have finally visited. I was in Canada on a holiday and only 2 hours from Niagara so this was a no-brainer...so I drove 2 hours to Niagara Falls (Canada side). As we approached the area of the falls, there are signs for parking in a garage that went pretty seamless surprisingly. We found parking right away in the garage which is only a short walk to the falls. I had this particular visual since I was a kid of what Niagara Falls would be like...this large intense and immense waterfall. My actual experience was quite different. As I walked up the street that lead to the Falls I thought "this is it?" Not to take anything away from this beautiful natural wonder but I was shocked to find a much smaller Niagara Falls then I ever imagined. I enjoyed myself and the beauty of the falls itself so it's still a win. I'm glad I went and had this experience but it's not one of those experiences I'd feel the need to visit again. The surrounding area is cool but very busy and didn't appeal to me enough to walk around. It's one of the worlds natural wonders so it's great to check it out but it didn't give me the chills or excitement like I'd always thought it would.

Yelp
Gorgeous little walk. Cave of the Winds was closed, so I was a bit off on my timing. Also the gift shop closes quite early, so watch for that. Got some lovely pictures to post on social.

Yelp
Niagara Falls [U.S. side) After staying on the Toronto side for 3 days the Falls definitely has better views on the Canada side but if not able to cross the border (passport required) this is the place to be to see amazing views of the Niagara Falls. The park is open year round and entrance is free. We paid $10 for parking. Did you know that the Niagara Falls is actually made up of 3 Falls? Yes, you can view the Canadian Horseshoe Falls, American Falls and the little falls in between the two is the Bridal Veil Falls. There are lots to do in the park, but most people do the Maid of the Mist boat tour which takes you up close and personal to view the three Falls. We did this on the Canada side with another boat tour... you will get wet but they provide complimentary ponchos (you'll still get wet, though, water shoes highly recommended). The park has lots of hiking trails and picnic grounds (watch out for those Canadian geese, they are everywhere)... we didn't ride the Niagara Scenic Trolley but that's also an option to explore the park (purchase of ticket required). The Cave of the Winds is another big attraction. We took the Journey Behind the Falls on the Canada side which is similar except our tour was under the Canadian Horseshoe Falls. Note that this is a timed ticketed attraction. The Cave of the Winds will view the American Falls and the Bridal Veil Falls which descends 175 feet into the Niagara Gorge. You will get wet but they provide ponchos. There is a restaurant on site, also a gift shop and learn about the scientific contributions of Nikola Tesla at the Nikola Tesla Monument... there is a statue on the US side and also one on the Canada side (they are different from each other). Add this to your bucket list! Soak in some memories and views! Review #3019

Yelp
This first time visiting and completing one of my lifelong dreams of visiting Niagara Falls, and its majestic beauty, I really find myself at a loss for words to describe what I saw and felt. I was truly amazed by the state park itself in how crowded it was and apart from being under some construction or repair still managed to welcome thousands upon thousands of visitors a day the highly efficient staff mostly composed of young people and how they kept the main attractions running like a well-oiled machine. the park's infrastructure was very well kept garden was also well kept offering souvenir shops food and refreshments options I will totally recommend it to anyone to visit.

Yelp
Do not miss the fireworks at Niagara .. it's exactly at 10 pm. I have seen it from both sides , but Canada side looks better with the horseshoe background . We came a little late - around 9.15 and the place was already packed.. people wait for a long time to get good views of fireworks.. we walked for 15-20 mins to get a good spot and finally got a decent one (not the best though).. Light show stars early and it is absolutely awesome . Really good and colorful. Fireworks adds more color to the scene . Loved it . Not many restrooms around . Finish off everything before u come for fireworks ... it's about 10 mins .. its good overall. Sometimes the crowd isn't friendly especially when tall men stand in front and they don't even allow small children to go in front of them. Kids get annoyed with the rush of people but they liked the fireworks . It's a max rush of traffic after the fireworks . Be prepared to wait in traffic for 20-30 mins . Overall a good experience but can be better ..

Great experience from the American side of the falls. The state park is beautiful, the boat ride, although short, was exciting, and doing the climb up the stairs was so much fun. Bring cross or sandals because our shoes got really wet.

Yelp
If you're never been, Goooooooooo. This is a must experience. Watching the rapids flow about 30mph to the drop is simply breathtaking

Yelp
One of my first trip I took after I started working. The feeling was one of the best feeling of my entire life..! My heart was filled with a different kind of peace! I didn't have to ask or beg anyone to take us to a vacation! It took me some time to save up & finally was able to take my son to Niagara Falls in USA. We did went to the Canada one multiple times but till this day USA one is my favorite one ! It's not like the Canada one which gets boring after an hour. Don't think I don't love the Canada one & I am being a New Yorker! For some reason I do love our side better . The excitement stays for longer in those beautiful surroundings which this one holds! I will definitely come back one day. It was so exciting to book hotel, cut tickets & plan the whole thing. As a single mother it was not that easy. The memories are still very fresh & my teenage son was so happy. I just loved to see him happy there. The hotel I booked was walking distance from the main point, so we had a lot of time to see everything in three days. The hotel we stayed was very nice & clean. Stuff & the manager was wonderful! The restaurants on the first floor was very nice & the food was yum. Obviously they didn't have halal food but lots of sea food & vegetarian dishes to choose from . I am planing to visit the beautiful place again soon.....

Yelp
Yaaasssssss. Beautiful. Paid for by tax dollars. But put 4 quarters in your pocket, grab your passport, and go see it from the Canada side

Yelp
So nice. It's beautiful snd green and there are lots of places to park, things to do and see. There is also lots of places to eat outside the park within walking distance either on the NY or Canada side. It can be an expensive day or it can be use a picnic and walk. The website gives you a good idea of all that is available.

Yelp
Niagara Falls is an absolute marvel of nature. It also has such an amazing history. I was amazed that people actually dared to go over in barrels and for decades, it was a popular honeymoon spot. The falls themselves are breathtaking and there is much to do about the area. I was in Buffalo, New York and took the short drive to Niagara Falls and was again awe-struck by the power and majesty of nature. I believe that Niagara Falls should be witnessed by anyone who has the opportunity. I have been here as a child and as an adult and Niagara Falls never failed to leave me in awe and wonder.

Yelp
It's Niagara Falls! Take your time and enjoy it. Of course, the best time to go is when it isn't crowded, that is, not in the summer.

Yelp
Been coming here since I was a kid and it never loses that awe inspiring feeling. To stand beside such a phenomenal natural wonder is supreme! As Jerry Garcia said, a fountain not made by the hands of man. Tremendous! I do agree with the commonly held view that the best panoramic vantage point is across the bridge in Canada. Bring your passport, eat some poutine, and stroll this wonderful locale. Parking abounds, food abounds! Take it all in, your eyes will never be full.

Yelp
Amazing! Plenty to see. A few spots to stop and grab a bite or a drink. And just a short walk away is an open amusement park. Plenty of attractions along the sidewalks.

Yelp
The park has a lot to offer and several parking lots, all paid parking- throughout. You will also walk a lot for most of the parks attractions. I was impressed with the accessibility to most of the park. The observation tower has elevators, most of the lookouts have ramps and stairs. There were things we didn't do because of accessibility, I would have loved to explore the cave of the winds, but that's a lot of steps and just wasn't an option for this trip. We did partake in: Maid of the Mist tour- excellent tour that takes you right in front of all of the falls, misty in front of the American Falls and flat out pours on you and a bumpy boat ride in front of the horseshoe falls. Be prepared to have wet shoes and feet! Thankful for the included poncho though Observation Tower- ther is a small fee to go up, but is included in the price for the maid of the mist boat tour. Great views of the Rainbow Bridge, Niagra River and falls. We also could easily spot our hotel on the other side of the river/border American Falls overlook- plenty of rapids up river leading to the falls, your view is of the top and side of the American falls Bridal Veil Falls over look- walking out to this overlook was quite pretty, There are short series of steps leading down and a small footbridge with the side stream rapids leading to the falls. I loved the dense greenery in such a tiny section, almost made you feel like you weren't in a city. Horseshoe Falls Overlook- what I didn't mention is the sheer energy and force you feel just being in this park. The falls are just incredible. The sounds, water spray, fog, mist (depending on the time of day), rainbows reflecting off the falls- it really is spectacular. Again- this is a side view and top view, but because it is a horseshoe, you can see part of the falls on the other side. It's just huge. Maid of the Mist Store- touristy, which you will see plenty of the same or very similar merchandise throughout the area. I do want to go back after the complete the welcome center that they are building. It looks grand, I would expect for it to be a nature center, have history and more. I have high expectations. I was surprised that a state park was not flying the state flag- it made me chuckle. Priorities.

Yelp
Thanks to Yelp- I found out about the free nightly fireworks display at Niagara Falls Park. There is an official schedule at the park's website that gives you a set time and date during the season for this display. Surprisingly, it was still bright at night and was able to secure a spot along the park's bend to wait for the fireworks to begin. As time approached; people gathered all along the fall's edge- that was a sight in itself. Flashing lights projected onto the water to indicate the fireworks were about to start. Display started right on time (10pm); and the spectacular fireworks displays along the night sky. Display lasted about five minutes- and it was amazing. A wonderful experience to end the night and lasts a lifetime

Yelp
Entered from the US Side, we were able to walk out to the observatory deck before descending 200ft down an elevator to the Maid of the Mist. You can walk around the state park, over the roaring rapids of the river and over to Goat Island where you can view Horseshoe Falls! Bring a poncho you're bound to get soaked. We did the maid of the mist first so I kept my poncho on. Parking is $15, there is also a little food truck park with some stores however we did not eat at the park. You can also partake in the Cave of Winds for $21, or the Maid of the Mist for $29. I wish they had more plaques with facts throughout the park.

Yelp
The Falls itself was breathtaking, a lot of tourists walking around! Try going in the daytime as well as night you'll get the best of both worlds!

Yelp
It is a MUST it's is absolutely beautiful it's very clean all trolleys are handicap accessible, staff is very nice and helpful. Some of the stores were credit card only. The street vendors and restaurants smelled and tasted very good I want to go back to try some more, I found one of the street vendors had lavender lemonade made with ginger all homemade it was delicious

Yelp
Simply amazing. Well-maintained with some amazing views of the American Falls. Great views during the day, night and nightly summer fireworks. Lot of walkable paths, even with a stroller. Easy walk from the hotel/casino areas. Very safe.

Yelp
If the word "stunning" was to have a dictionary photo, it would be anything taken here! Niagara Falls is one of the most amazing natural wonders I've ever seen. I barely got to experience all it had to offer since we decided against doing the excursions (zip-lining, the cruise, hiking to the foot of the falls, and the $3 trolley), but I was still blown away. While there's debate as to which side gets the better view, both have their perks! The American state park + goat island is much more friendly to pedestrians, and I loved the observation bridge. It would've been a great place to watch the fireworks! You're able to get a close-up view to every fall, and there's food, bathrooms, and gift stores along the way. A fun fact about the gift stores when I visited - the Canadian side had hand painted ornaments portraying Niagara during the day, while the American side had ones with the evening illumination and fireworks. I HAD to collect both. The parking is pretty absurd no matter what. That's actually how we ended up in Canada - looking for parking that didn't exist! Eventually, we found some near goat island for a hefty price. I don't have any alternative suggestions except to arrive early to get the most bang for your buck. Overall, visiting Niagara Falls should be on everyone's bucket list!

Yelp
Beautiful views and trails! We did a full day of touring. Cave of the Winds, Maid of the Mist, observation deck, Three Sisters Islands. We parked on Goat Island in the paid parking, it was $10. Right across from the paid parking lot is the ticket stand for the Cave of the Winds and a $3 dollar adult trolley ticket. The trolley was an absolute delight. It took us site to site hop on hop off all day. The Maid of the Mist is off of Goat Island and the trolley takes you there
