Nick's Restaurant Bar & Pizzeria

The best meatballs of my life, an atmosphere worthy of a Swiss inn, a excellent moment to enjoy with the whole family. I recommend it 1000%. Thanks to Nick and his team 😊

We’ve visited Nicks twice now during our stay in Yungaburra and we have really enjoyed it here. Lovely staff, and very cheesy pizza! I had the Yungaburra pizza which was very tasty. On the second visit I tried the macadamia pesto linguine which I also recommend. Nicks has a family friendly, rustic atmosphere, definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area :)

I went to eat at Nick's last week. I was debating whether to write or to not write a review but I think it is my duty to do it for other people. I went with my wife and our 2 kids and the experience was literally terrible! Starting from the service, we got our food, with the little detail that no cutlery was on the table and we had to ask for them and no water was offered since they received the request. About the food: I'm Italian and I'm a pizzaiolo and call that pizza is not exactly the right word, I would definitely change the write 'best pizza in all Queensland ' since it is almost the worst I had in my entire life! My wife took bratwurst, only the presentation of the dish is questionable, seems that someone chewed the food and then spit on the plate, and the taste was even worse! The kids took nuggets and mashed potatoes, the nuggets were fine since they’re from coles. Understandable. But one of my kids preferred my homemade mashed potatoes. I didn't really understand him until i tried it myself…anyways this is just embarrassing. The only thing I can add is a lot of good luck!!!

Despite having several large groups and being understaffed, they found a lovely spot for our group of 7. The atmosphere leaves you thinking you're in a quaint chalet up in the snow. We were impressed with how quickly our pizzas arrived, and were not disappointed in the flavour. The vegetarian pizza was our favourite!! The food was reasonably priced and there was a great variety to choose from. While waiting, they even had some games for the kids to play.

We had an amazing time at Nick’s, the atmosphere is great the food is delicious and the staff was very helpful and amazing. Special thanks to Francesca and the chef for the special requests 😉

We were so excited to go but unfortunately came away disappointed. Firstly they were closed on a Tuesday and we couldn't book online which was not really a big deal. We rang to book a table and to advise them of an assistance animal, which they were unsure of but decided it was okay. When we arrived, we were put outside in the pet friendly area but requested to be inside which we had confirmed over the phone. We were then placed in the side room, completely away from the other guests and right next to the kitchen which was too hot and loud to be comfortable. We asked to be moved but again they needed to check that it was "legal". Finally we were seated with the other guests in the main dining area. The waiter was nice to us while the manager stepped over our assistance animal, who was laying out of the way, because she was too lazy (and disrespectful) to walk around the table to give us fresh cutlery. This could have ended badly for her or our animal. The food wait times were reasonable however the food itself was not of a restaurant quality in my opinion and more in line with a cafe. The pizza base was beautiful but the processed ham on the capricciosa was not. The toppings were generous though. The beef croquettes were okay however I have seen similar cheese sauce froma jar. The bratwurst was okay too but we haven't had spaetzle before so could really comment on it except to say that where was the garnish or side? I couldn't finish the (award winning) pizza and we didn't stick around for dessert. The Italian/swiss decor and memorabilia was a stand out however having some top 40 music station on kinda killed the vibe. Perhaps worth a look but don't get your hopes up.

What a great stay, great restaurant, great hospitality, especially the little van, surrounded by nature, the best walk by the creek seeing the platypus and other wildlife. The local 2 curlews are amazing. Thanks Nick for everything. The food was great, staff were great, the accommodation was awesome. Better than sleeping in my car🙏I will be back, and here to tell everyone they must visit. Wish I had a longer visit. Thanks again❤🌹

Love their pizza and the ambience. The service is always great. Seating outside under the stars is lovely in summer. Cost inside at winter.

This restaurant is joined to Nick's Italian Swiss Restaurant. In fact it is under the same roof. Many patrons walking into the pizzeria are invited to walk through to the restaurant. If you sit in the pizzeria you also get the restaurant menu. The food appears to be very kid friendly but expensive. There are only two waitresses dealing with two menus and two restaurant areas. The obvious result is patrons are sat in the pizzeria and sometimes forgotten so they just wander into the restaurant to get served. Our meals were OK The pizzas were cold despite being straight out of the oven. They were put on cold plates and the calzone had cold tomato purée put on top. Nothing had chilli but we did ask for chilli oil but it never appeared.
