the ambiance and decor is superb! Really enjoyed the dumpling appetizers, Gaprow Lad Kai, Thai Iced Tea, Green Iced Tea 🍹. Unfortunately, we did not enjoy the the Green Curry Noodle Beef bowl. The Green Curry Noodle Beef bowl had way too much noodle for the curry so it ended up being a mush of noodles with barely any curry or beef (see picture). It’s a shame because the curry flavor is delicious.

It was nice. This was my first visit. I really like the atmosphere. The cultural designs, various statues. It was nice. It was intimate. It wasn't too bright. It was comfortable. I had great company. It gave it a little mysterious feel to it and the food was good. The crab rangoon was excellent. I tried some of their Maki latte. I didn't care for that too much. It's kind of sweet and it's mixed with green tea. I think I'll try something else next time. I wasn't really impressed with that and I'm not sure if it contained the little balls or not. It wasn't awful, by any means. It was a different flavor and I probably wouldn't get it again. It wasn't nasty. It's just not anything that resonated with me. But I will definitely be going back for a return visit. I think my meal choice was shrimp fried rice or something along those lines and I think it included vegetables.

Came by for lunch which I think was great value, especially for downtown! No wait for a table of 2, the lunch is an entree with a soup or salad . The salad is nice and fresh, but the pineapple dressing is quite sweet. The soup of the day, chicken and rice, was really delicious and flavorful, definitely recommend! The spicy noodles (essentially drunken noodles) was amazing, great flavor and portion and if you like spice, level 3 is perfect! It has a ton of delicious sauce too, almost too much but loved the flavor. It’s a little odd that even for a party of 2 for lunch, tip is already included in the bill, but the price was so good for the portion and quality that it’s totally worth it to me! Great spot to stop by!

My fav Thai restaurant in Pittsburgh in the heart of the Cultural District downtown. I always opt to done outside in their oasis on the sidewalk. It is so very well done with umbrellas over every table and greenery surrounding you on all sides with hanging lights throughout, such that you are in your own world sheltered from the ongoing traffic. The service is always impeccable which is great because they do tack on automatically a 20 percent service fee, no matter your party size. This is not revealed aloud until they bring you the bill. But, since you will get service, food, and atmosphere well worth at least 20 percent, let it be. The menu options are lengthy. I have always been pleased with presentation, quality, and quantity and always have plenty to take home. Spice levels are 1 to 5. Level 2 I found too mild, three was perfect for my taste. The servers will help you decide. It can be pricey but so worth it. I will definitely return.

Google
Great location in the downtown area designated as the Cultural District. We were here on a weeknight early evening, and the place was packed! Got a table outside along the wall, but in the walkway so people were constantly passing very close to us as we dined. Service was good and they did not ignore us. The Tom Yum soup and Tom Kha Soup were both good and really a ton of vegetables in each. Pad Phet (spicy) with chicken was excellent The Panang curry with pork was requested to be Thai spicy (extra hot) and that kinda fell flat for me. Overall a good meal for both of us.

Google
I can't say enough good things about the service, but that's where it ends for me. We chose to sit outside and that was a mistake for me. I don't want to listen to people yelling from their cars, loud mufflers, and smell car exhausts, while eating. We eat outside often and never experienced this, the tables are too close to the traffic passing by. We ordered our typical Thai dishes that we enjoy and truthfully every dish lacked flavor. My husband's tom yum looked delicious, but he could barely eat it something was in it that he didn't like. Maybe too much sour flavor and not balanced enough. I didn't care for my pad thai either, not sure of the carrots and cabbage on top. The fresh rolls were just OK. I was shocked at the high reviews that led us here. We are not from the area, so maybe that's what the locals like. Overall, I will not return.

We had a lovely experience here! The place feels cozy and welcoming, and the food was genuinely good. They also have a nice vegan menu, which was a great surprise. Overall, we really enjoyed our dinner and would definitely come back.

Google
The food was good for someone who hasn't tried a Thai food. This could be a nice base for you to understand how Thai food tastes, however, for someone who loves Thai food you will notice the lack of marination in the meat and savory. The crispy duck curry was served with no crisp into it (it's part of their special menu) the sauce was savory tho. The crying tiger beef or they have it as tiger cry beef it has a good sauce but the meat itself lacks of marination. The service was phenomenal! She serves a group of more than 9 people with a breeze. Our server also initiated a Sake Bomb shot and everyone was on board. It was so fun! And we are happy we had that kind of vibes that brought to the table. Ambiance, you know they really spent time to make sure the place is well situated. Every corner is an embodiment of Thai arts and culture. It was nice to see.

Yelp
I got a spicy noodle lunch special and a tomato yum soup. The spicy noodle portion is huge! It can definitely feed at least two and it comes with a starter soup or salad. I got the soup and it was a very homey soup, most likely a combo of different scraps from other dishes making for a flavorful broth. The spicy noodle itself is very flavorful and has an undertone of Thai basil. It was a nicely done drunken noodle variation. The tom yum soup was okay. It was most likely made with vinegar rather than tamarind or anything. It was also overfilled with veggies and chicken and barely had soup. I thought I was eating a salad at one point. I came during a huge lunch rush so I did have to wait a bit to get in and just sat at the bar. It was okay, but everything was a bit sticky. Overall, decent Thai food.

Yelp
Great food and ambiance .. beautiful decoration.. the patio area is beautiful.. the decoration inside is very unique

Yelp
Food was delicious! Had depth of flavor in everything. The sauces in both the yellow curry noodle and pad pheet are good enough alone to have with just plain rice. The decor is beautiful, colorful and eclectic. Staff is friendly and helpful. Would definitely be back again when in the neighborhood.

Yelp
We ordered pick up. Portions were huge and really good for leftovers. Even though we said for Phad see ew medium spicy it still came out pretty spicy. The pumpkin custard with black rice dessert was really sweet. I could only take 2 bites. Steam dumplings were very meaty and good. Teriyaki chicken - the chicken pieces were pretty big. It's more on 3.5 stars but 4 because of the portion size.

Yelp
Really great flavor when you come to Nicky's for Thai food. I always forget to snap pics because I am so excited to just dig in. I ordered the broccoli with shrimp and made sure it was spicy because why not and it delivered. So delicious and not too salty. I also inhaled the glass noodles with chicken and really wish I had a pic to show you. Huge portions - definitely big enough to share. The outdoor tables on the street are so cute and set up great for people watching and relaxing in the nice weather. They did such a great job making this the go to spot for Thai food in Pittsburgh. I will always return when I'm in town!

Yelp
Awesome atmosphere with low lighting and relevant art. Were greeted at the door and offered indoor or outdoor seating options. Once seated, immediately served water and acknowledged by the wait staff. Friendly, warm, welcoming, and provided good guidance. Thoughtful recommendations. We wanted to ensure we could both eat within our dietary boundaries and wait staff helped us get there. Started with a blue cucumber and Pinot Grigio ~ lovely and refreshing. Ordered the chefs special vegan duck and the tofu eggplant. Cooked to perfection! Staff checked in regularly. Everyone friendly and suitable for all clients. Just the right amount of attentive. Was full but wanted to try the Mango Sticky Rice - very nicely done. So happy we ate here!!

Yelp
I constantly brag (to anyone who will listen) that Pittsburgh's Thai food is top tier and Nicky's Thai Kitchen is one of my favorites. My go to is the Massaman Curry. Homemade creamy peanut sauce with potatoes and mixed veggies is everything you'll ever need. (Make it spicy) The atmosphere is also very homey, warm, and welcoming. Also nice talking to the staff (when it's not super busy) and that goes to show how popular it really is. I've been to all the Nicky's Thai Kitchen locations and love that all offer the same quality of taste which is hard to do I think. I LOVE it here.

Yelp
We planned to share. The menu says "one entrée per person or $10 fee per person." Our server pointed it out and we said please come back while we decide. Instead of confirming, she submitted the $29 appetizer that we wanted to split, then later told us it "was already made," so she wouldn't remove it. That appetizer only counted as one entrée, so we were boxed into ordering more or paying fees for simply sharing. We paid for something we didn't approve, under an anti-sharing policy that feels predatory. Bad service, bad value. Won't be back.

Yelp
I have eaten at this location a lot. It's very convenient to my work downtown or if you're going to a show in the Cultural District. It has a good reputation as a reliably good Thai restaurant with a nicely decorated interior and a beautiful outdoor space on Penn Avenue if the weather is right. Today for the first time in an unseasonably cold spring, the weather was spot-on for outdoor dining, or just leaving the office for lunch, and perhaps Nicky's just didn't anticipate what a packed house they were going to get for lunch. We walked down with a group of six from work, with four choosing to sit indoors and two of us opting for outdoors, which was probably the only number of party there was space for outdoors when we arrived around 12:15 PM. We ordered one Thai coffee and one Thai iced tea. Our server had excellent recommendations when asked, as my colleague is from out of town and hadn't been here before. When I mentioned I was vegetarian, he also made a point of telling me that the dish I had chosen had a shrimp base that isn't mentioned on the menu. I could have found that out by scanning the QR code for the vegan-specific menu, but I really appreciated him calling it out as I know I have ordered and eaten that cashew dish before and never had it mentioned. Instead I went with the basil bowl with rice. We both got salads which came relatively quickly and were different and fresh with chopped nuts and pineapple. After that, however, it took very long to receive our entrées. We were served probably around 1:35, with a meeting to get back to by 2. We both ate and really enjoyed our entrées, but at that point felt a bit rushed and had to pack up half of our food to go so we wouldn't be late. I can't say the service wasn't good because I really appreciated the knowledge, recommendations and speed of everything else, such as taking our orders and bringing us boxes and settling our checks. It just felt like the kitchen was not adequately staffed or prepared for a full restaurant on Tuesday afternoon.

Yelp
The food was okay. I didn't like the imposed tip for dine in. The point of tip is gratuity. If you're going to impose tip, then why not just mark up your menu prices by 20% instead of "imposing a tip". Also I had the peanut chicken salad. It was SALTY! So salty I was thirsty all night long. And I couldn't even finish the whole salad because it was just that salty. So I wouldn't recommend that dish to anyone.

Yelp
1/16/25 Ate List: Chicken Pad Thai (spice 2) - Score 8.9 W/ Salad - 6.5 First thing's first. Service was amazing. So quick. Was seated immediately. Was less than 10 minutes from ordering to the meal being in front of me. LOVED THAT. Salad came very quickly. Overall was good, had some citrus and onion in it. Liked it. The Chicken Pad Thai was phenomenal. Will absolutely come back for it. Noodles were delicious and very light. Spice level was good at 2, feel like spice level 3 would be manageable. And the portion was perfect. Cleaned my plate. So so good. Restaurant's ambiance is nice too. Feels busy but in a way that isn't off putting.

Yelp
Love this place! The service is always prompt for how busy they are from the time they open at 5pm. Every dish I've tried has been flavorful, and you get to choose your spice level. The drinks are delicious, I recommend the mango juice or the green tea if you need a drink to cool off on a hot day. The portions are always large, so there's always leftovers to take home. The inside of the dining room is small, cramped, and dark, but you can opt to sit outside on the sidewalk.

Yelp
I was visiting the city during a marathon, gradation, and a baseball game. This place was BUSY but they happily sat us at the bar and service was very attentive still! My BF and I got the large order of Tom Kha soup which was refreshing and comforting, as predicted, as . He got the shrimp red chili and oh my god. So rich and savory, tons of depth of flavor. Would get that every time if we lived near by!

Yelp
I came here with a large group from work one evening. I was able to call ahead to make a reservation, and I highly recommend doing this. I was worried it was going to be so crowded since we noticed a line outside the door the night before! The staff were very welcoming and attentive and were accommodating to our needs. The restaurant is BYOB but also has a full bar that you can order from. We ordered spring rolls and egg rolls to share, which were tasty. We all ordered a dish each, which I will say is not necessary if you are sharing with a large group. The portions are very generous - it is family style portions for sure! I was able to try the pineapple fried rice, spicy Thai basil fried rice, beef pad see ew, and the kao soy. All of the dishes were absolutely delicious! The icing on top of the delicious meal was that the Thai spicy level (1-5) was actually spicy! I got the spicy level 5, and usually at other spots I am underwhelmed, but this place had me sweating! I will certainly be back here if I ever come back to Pittsburgh. Great experience!

Yelp
High-quality, large-portioned Thai food in a busy setting downtown. We arrived right when they opened and people were already waiting at the door. In the hour we were there the entire place filled up and got loud, so I'd definitely recommend an earlier dinner if possible. The pad see ew had delightfully chewy noodles and spice level 2 was perfect for this dish. It was a ton of food, but it should be for the $$$. I'd definitely recommend the sticky rice mango for dessert. The mango was perfectly ripe and it was a wonderful way to finish off the meal.

Yelp
Nicky's Thai Kitchen on Penn is one of two locations in the Pittsburgh area. I would recommend making a reservation ahead of time because the waitlist can get very long, very fast. The best way to make a reservation is to call (make sure you call the right location). We went to Nicky's for dinner around opening time on a Friday night. The space is elegant and has a regal Thai feel to it. There are large statues throughout the interior. The service was terrific. Our waiter was very attentive but not overly attentive to the point where it felt like they were hovering. The food was some of the best Thai food I have had ever (and I've been to Thailand). The spicy levels were spot on and the quality was amazing. One of my favorite things about my experience was the portion size. Not only was the food delicious, there was a lot of it! We actually had to get to-go boxes (which is rare for me). The cocktails were delicious and so was their presentation. This place is on the pricer end but it's well worth it for a date night, celebration, or something of the sort! I'll definitely return!

Yelp
Servers were nice, and the chicken pad Thai flavors were great. Got the spicy in 4 and which was spicy and I liked it! Wish I got a bit more broccoli and eggs in it though haha.

Yelp
Stumbled in for lunch after struggling to find a place to eat in Downtown Pittsburgh. Atmosphere is pleasant, and the lunch menu is reasonable with a good variety of options. The spring rolls were OK, but way too heavy on the rice paper. The chicken salad looked good, but it was DRENCHED in sauce. The lemongrass soup looked like the way to go. Overall, a pretty good and fairly reasonably priced lunch, though the mandatory 20% gratuity was a bit off-putting.
google avatar

Cassidy B.

Yelp
Our favorite Thai place in Pittsburgh. All of their locations have such a cute vibe. They have a great gluten free menu and staff always makes sure to note when you have an allergy.
google avatar

Yelp
Best thai food in pittsburgh hands down. Easily. Pork belly rice and pad see ew were phenomenal. Date night price for meal tho. Amazing service. Drink was p strong, me and gf pref sweeter lighter drinks but to each their own. Will def come back.
google avatar

Yelp
Okay well food is always a 10/10. Absolutely never fails to fill me up and make me so happy I went. Best crab rangoon with the tastiest sauce. The pad see ew with chicken is my favorite and never fails. My friend got the chicken pad thai and it makes sense that it is their famous dish! The service was a bit slow, we sat at our table for 10/15 minutes before anyone even came to say hi. They are working hard because it is so busy which explains why we were elbow to elbow with the neighboring table. Would definitely go!
google avatar

Rachel W.

Yelp
This place was great! I loved the atmosphere - the decor was gorgeous. I do think their drinks are a little overpriced, but they were really good. I ordered the Sen Mee Pad See Eaw which was AMAZING. I literally had to put my fork down so i wouldn't overeat... it was delicious. We also got the spring rolls and crab rangoons. The rolls were really fresh and pretty filling. The crab rangoons were insanely good. Literally blew my mind. They were the perfect amount of crispy, and the filling was SO creamy. I would recommend Nicky's just for the crab rangoons. Although the waiters were a little slow with checking on us/giving us our receipt, the food came out fast and everyone was very nice. I'll definitely be back!
google avatar

Vicky F.

Yelp
This was one of the worst dining experiences I've had. The service was terrible, and the food was even worse. We ordered the coconut soup, and it was just disgusting--nowhere near what a real coconut soup should taste like. Then came the crab rangoon, which was the smallest I've ever seen. It was honestly hard to even find them on the plate. We ended up canceling the duck because it came out way too dry. I've spent three weeks in Thailand and travel to Asia often, so I know what authentic Thai food tastes like--and this was definitely not it. With the prices they're charging, it was beyond disappointing. Never again.

Yelp
SERVICE: Besides paying $25 to park around the corner in a public lot which is understandable as it is located downtown, we absolutely enjoyed ourselves. We sat outside in "the street area." Outdoor seating is surrounded by a group of beautiful tropical and local greenery. The inside is, for me painfully dark, but still a good space of character and ambience. I too took a photo of the restroom as I am one who appreciates a clean water closet area. I too am impressed with how clean it was with so many people patronizing the space. We arrived on a Thursday around 5pm and easily found a seat outside. Inside was pretty packed. Upon us leaving we noticed a huge crowd lining up but I also knew there was an event in town. Once seated, our waiter and accompanying staff were attentive, helpful and kind. They also brig you water in a plastic to-go cup with lid for hot days when needing to take your drink with you. Cool right? You are charged a 20% service fee that is split among everyone so leaving a tip is not necessary unless you wish to pay or go a little above and beyond which we did. (I just edited my review from 5 to 4 ONLY because I forgot about the smog from some of the cars that sit at the red light when sitting outside on the street. Yes! I know. You're in the street, what else would you expect? However, if asking, it's part of my thought and experience with eating outside. Non-the-less, I still loved my experience overall and had a wonderful time.) FOOD: Food was absolutely delicious. As my mother says, the best food is downtown. Great flavor and just enough heat. We ordered shrimp pad Thai. However, I did notice the shrimp alone did not taste as if it was originally cooked with the flavors from the beginning, but as if tossed in at the end. Non-the-less, I like that they provide heat level options from 1-5. Everything was well combined and the presentation was also wonderful. WELL: We shall definitely return! Good food, good ambience, and good service. I too will find street parking next time lol.

Yelp
This place is great! The service was very personal, and the server came multiple times to check on the table. The food came out in a very reasonable amount of time. You could tell it was cooked fresh. The portions were very large, so much that every single person had a huge amount of leftovers. Food was absolutely delicious. Probably some of the best Thai food I've ever had in USA. Pat had a lot of shrimp in the dish and was very flavorful with the added cilantro and herbs. The place was very busy and you can expect some wait time. It's probably best to make reservations . the restaurant is decorated very Asian style, which made it a very pretty setting. The place was quite loud and busy and full of life, definitely come here for a fun night out with some great food

Yelp
Absolutely fantastic. From easiness of reservation to quick seating upon arrival. Great ambiance of the whole place. Quick professional service. All our dishes were excellent. Their spice flavor at #4 is great. Appetizers were flawless. Pineapple rice, red Curry, ginger chicken entrées were flavorful!

Yelp
Absolutely delicious! Visiting Pittsburgh for a weekend and Nicky Thai was a great dinner out. I loved the Tom yum with veggies and our 5 year old loved the chicken satay and grilled calamari. We ordered the special fried fish and pork belly entrees and both were excellent. Quick friendly service and comfortable atmosphere! Yum!

Yelp
Nice flavors but my rice hair in it and some pieces of chicken were not cooked. Cool ambiance but made me think twice.

Yelp
Nicky's Thai is so so so good. Every experience I've had here has been phenomenal. The portions here are HUMONGOUS and their flavors are spot on!!!! I love getting their pad Thai and their spicy garlic noodles. All their curries are also delicious. Their Tom yum soup comes out in a pot with a flame in the middle which is super unique and cute! I look forward to coming back here every time!!! Nicky's is a def must try!

Yelp
Had a nice lunch here in the middle of the day. Wasn't too many people, but don't let that make you think the food is less than spectacular! I ordered the red curry and really enjoyed it!
google avatar

Yelp
Love Nicky's for their dependable, delicious food and such pretty interior! I went in September so the outside seating was still set up and I always love all the different plants and flowers surrounding you. Thai tea was amazing, and I was pleasantly surprised of how light and fragrant the side soup of my fried rice was. This was actually my first restaurant ever in Pittsburgh back in 2020 and I'm always excited to go back and visit.

Yelp
Three stars due to....It is f****** hot in here. You will sweat while you eat---no spice needed. It was uncomfortable. It had us thinking we were experiencing premenopausal episodes. The temperature forced us into changing our cravings to only looking at "cold" options. CUE ALL the frozen drinks and appetizers. Once we settled (though still steamy), we ordered an entrée and shared our mutual distress of being an older woman. Food was very flavorful and service was exceptional.
google avatar

Debra S.

Yelp
We found this restaurant just before they opened on a Sunday. There were people waiting for it to open. Within the hour, the restaurant was packed. It was beautifully decorated, albeit a little crowded in areas, like ours. We had a table right next to our table for 2 and the backs of people almost touching our table in the other side which wasn't a problem til just before we left. The food was absolutely amazing. I have eaten a lot of Thai and I was impressed. Don't skimp on dessert. The sticky mango rice is worth it. I can see why it was so busy. Enjoy!
google avatar

Yelp
This is such a beautiful, amazing restaurant that may be overlooked since it is nestled in the middle of cultural district. However it atmosphere, exceptional attentiveness to cleanliness & meeting the needs of customers exceeds the expectations of its competitors. Food & drinks are unique & more than sufficient to satisfy the needs of the customer. I can't recommend a better restaurant if in the area to go to.
google avatar

Tiffany T.

Yelp
I love Nicky's Thai. The food comes out piping hot and delicious. The pad see ew has garlicky addicting goodness that makes it hard to stop but the portion is so big that you'll most likely not finish all the food. The service was really nice and accommodating when I sat outside but started getting eaten alive by mosquitoes so they seamlessly helped us move inside. I love their outdoor seating though and will be putting on bug spray before.
google avatar

Jessica D.

Yelp
Popped in for lunch during my conference break and it got extremely busy. However it seems like they are used to this level of customers. The service was quick and friendly. I got a chicken pad Thai mild (I definitely should have got a hotter level, the mild had no spice). The chicken was pretty tough but the noodles were really good. I also got a side mango salad- the dressing was really good. The restaurant charges a 20% service charge on all bills no matter what. That definitely knocked off a star. The restaurant should pay their workers more and not depend on a service charge.

Yelp
We came here during a Pittsburg Steelers game and it was incredibly crowded. Service was a bit slow but the food was good. I especially liked my duck curry. The steamed dumplings were pretty good as well. The ambiance is fine.

Yelp
Cute Thai spot in downtown Pittsburgh! The Thai styled fried rice here is incredible. It's super garlicky & flavorful without being too greasy, and it's packed with a protein of your choice. I could probably eat the whole plate! Definitely a must get here. The pad see ew here was also delicious -- it's really hearty, noodles perfectly chewy, and I love the broccoli and egg mixed in. We got it with beef, which was a bit tough, but the flavor was good. We also got cashew chicken and kao soy with tofu. The kao soy was super flavorful and the tofu was really juicy -- the perfect vehicle for soaking up the curry. The cashew chicken was packed with veggies and looked quite spicy but was actually really nicely sweet. 4 dishes was more than enough for 5 people. The portions here are pretty big! The ambiance inside is so lively and the service is really attentive! We had our water refilled often. The decor is also really fun. We went on a Friday night as a group of 5 and were seated without too long of a wait. It's the perfect place for a big group dinner with friends or family.

Yelp
This is my go-to Thai spot here in Pittsburgh - the food is incredible and the portions are huge. I always eat half in the restaurant and take half home. The menu is huge and I have never had anything I didn't like. My favorite dish is the Basil Tofu. I love that the space is so decorated with all of the beautiful artwork. Additionally, the service is fast and the staff are all so sweet and attentive. Highly, highly recommend for anyone looking for a great lunch or dinner spot in Downtown Pittsburgh.

Yelp
This spot was honestly pretty solid and had great food! I love their extensive menu, there is something for everyone. We came without reservation on a Friday night and was immediately seated which was awesome. They were poppin on a Friday night. The vibes on the outside seating were so good. I loved my chicken Khao soi. It was delicious and I loved the curry. My friend got the Penang curry and really liked her food too. Servers are very nice and attentive and made sure to follow up about my food allergies questions. Solid spot for dinner downtown!

Yelp
Tried Nickys Thai for the first time and it lived up to the hype. Delish! The service was quick. The people were nice and the downtown location felt relaxing during a very late lunch service. Next time I shall share with someone as it's a lot of rice. It's a very tasty and affordable fried rice.

Yelp
Yummy yummy! Party of 6 and fast service! Super busy probably because of the conferences going on. Perfect spot for small groups. We ordered a munch of different items sadly only got pic. Dumplings, spring rolls, wontons, pumps curry, much much more. Get everything you'll be happy!

Yelp
Terrible food. Horrible service. Not sure why this place has a 4 star rating overall...it should definitely have only 1-2. We went here because the patio looked quaint and the atmosphere in the restaurant looked good. Thai food is pretty great no matter where you go, usually. Except here. The fried tofu in one of the noodle dishes was like eating an old cold sponge. Couldn't cut it with a fork and it was chewy, tasteless and water came pouring out of it when bitten into. It was inedible. The panang curry was watery and not very flavorful. The shrimp was overcooked, the chicken dish was overcooked. Nothing had any depth of flavor- it was bland and they seemed to only use a spice for making it spicy. The dumpling appetizer was cold and hard as if it had not been heated up by boiling or frying, as one would expect it to be. All 4 dishes we ordered were not cooked properly and lacked any other flavor besides a spice for heat. The service.. nobody came to greet us until we had been sitting there for about 25 minutes. The water came out in plastic to go cups (?!?!). The servers seem to treat you as if you are inconveniencing them just for being there and were rude when we talked to them about the tofu. Oh and hopefully you like eating with vagrants milling closely about and sitting at a table with you. We wanted to like this place but it was the worst restaurant we've been to in a long time. Maybe ever. The food was not cheap and since there are plenty of other restaurants to choose from where you are most likely treated better and the food is better and worth the price, just wanted to warn others in order to make an educated choice as to where you spend your hard earned money on expensive food.

Yelp
I appreciate that they are gluten free friendly and have a gluten free menu. I called on a weeknight to order the Spicy Fried Rice, gluten free, with chicken, along with the Mango and Sticky Rice for dessert. My food was ready when I arrived to pick it up, and the person who helped me was very kind. The fried rice was pretty good, but I needed to add salt. The sticky rice in the dessert was a little undercooked, so there were some harder bits throughout. I came back with my colleague to dine in the next night, and we were able to get a seat at the bar. The Tom Yum Soup is gluten free as is, and the portion is larger than average, with plenty of veggies and herbs on top. I got mine with shrimp, and they included many. The soup wasn't very hot when it came out, and the flavor wasn't as strong as I like, but I was thankful to have the gluten free option. Service was very attentive and everyone was kind, checking on us frequently. I did go to another Thai place during my visit, and it was a lot better, but this is a good option to have near the convention center and downtown area.

Yelp
The flavors were not great, and for the prices they charge I definitely expected better. Also very disappointed that they refused to make my Thai tea with coconut milk and told me they don't carry it. But they do carry it. they use it in other dishes such as curries, as well as the sticky rice desert. Server's vibe was bored/borderline resentful at having to wait on us, and when employees are visibly unhappy that tells me that the company is not taking good care of their people, so I blame the restaurant, not the server. Won't bother spending money here again.

Yelp
The Kao Soy with Chicken was pretty good, and there was a lot of it! The service was a little slow to get us the check, but it was good overall. The restaurant is pretty nice inside and well decorated.
