"Located just north of Downtown in Cincinnati’s historic Over-the Rhine-neighborhood, Nicola’s Ristorante has long been a fine dining staple of the city during its more than two decades of operation. We have limited availability due to current restrictions of restaurants. Carry-Out is available through our online ordering platform that is on our website, www.nicolasotr.com or 5137216200"

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this charming Italian restaurant, and it exceeded all my expectations. We had friendly service that made us feel right at home. The food was absolutely incredible. Especially the crispy potato gnocchi and baked oysters. The ingredients tasted fresh, and you could tell there was a lot of care put into every plate. I don't think you can go wrong with any item on the menu! Service was equally impressive. Our server was knowledgeable and friendly.

Me and my friend went for her birthday. It was a nice and sweet touch to personalize the menu with a message to say Happy Birthday! Our service was great and attentive. We had a Caesar salad, Tagliatelle Alla Bolognese, Potato Gnocchi, then the panna cotta for dessert. I would definitely recommend the bolognese, my friend enjoyed the gnocchi but was a little disappointed in the portion size. The panna cotta was pretty good with some interesting flavors, but it was a little too gelatinous for us. Overall it was a pleasant dining experience.

The food at Nicola’s Ristorante was outstanding, and the atmosphere was both elegant and inviting. While an unexpected billing issue did arise, I appreciate that the team is proactively working to resolve it.

Great fine dining restaurant in Cincinnati. Great place, server, host, team, food. Food is delicious 🤤, our server is great with friendly and good knowledge about food. There are 2 floors and we got the 2 nd floor. Nice chandelier. recommend to try.

Delicious food, delicious wine, educated wait staff. Professional-ish hosts, and bevy of options to order from the bar. 8 years ago I came here as I was piqued then, and today; I wasn’t disappointed! Now I have a 1st world petty problem. It looked exactly the same as it did then. GRANTED its nice decor, and kept well considering the restaurant hustle. Still, I was surprised that they haven’t gone through a real interior refresh considering the common $200 a person approx prices minimum(if you get a decent bottle of wine and get more than an entree only) well we’ll see what will happen 8 years from now.

We're from out of town (Knoxville), and we will be coming back. The service and atmosphere are spectacular. Sit upstairs if you can. Stacy was our server and did a magnificent job from introduction to exit. The bread is simply some of the finest i have had in a year or two. The crazy long breadsticks are something I could not put down. Btw their butter for the bread is outright crazy good. I had the tasting menu, and EVERY item was great. It's odd to think, but the steak (the main item) was the weakest link. The other items allowed the chefs to shine and be creative (and they succeeded with flying colors). A+ bravo. My wife had the goat cheese salad and the mushroom soup. She loved them both. The vinaigrette on the salad was special, to say thd least. The soup was deeply complex with a myriad of layers but yet so creamy. A must try if you like mushrooms. Our experience was top-notch. Hands down a must if you're in Cincinnati. "We shall return," as MacArthur said!

Very simply, Nicolas is now the best restaurant in Cincinnati. Better than Boca. When they move locations, I bet that atmosphere score will be a 5. Everything on the menu is fantastic, although I can’t speak to the lamb. We’ll have to come back for that. You’ll have to taste the food to really know, but these folks are really following in the footsteps of Jean Robert. Wine selection is fantastic. Tasting menu has something for everyone. Best bar tender in Cincinnati—cocktails are always superior quality. The prices are reasonable. And the staff is friendly and knowledgeable.

Fantastic food and great atmosphere for an upscale dining Experiance. Nicolas goes to great lengths to ensure that it is a fine dining experiance everytime you are here. The Bolognese and gnocchi were fantastic, but the desserts were the real winner. While there is nothing bad on the menu, you have to try the pana cotta.
