We recently were lucky enough to take part in one of Nicola’s cooking classes and WOW is all I can say.
From the second we arrived we felt like family being welcomed into their home, which in itself is the most beautiful surroundings and has the perfect view over Antigua.
There was only a small intimated group of us (6) with varying experience but Nicola took her time to explain and help us along the way. After we had prepared all the food we started to cook and had plenty of plantain crisps to nibble while we worked, all cooked by a member of our class (he did a great job) we also had a rum punch in hand, one of the best I’ve tasted!
While the food cooked Adam Nicolas husband gave us all a rum tasting. He had great knowledge and we had a great laugh.
Then lunch was served and we all got to sit and eat family style, enjoying our creation (with a lot of help from our beautiful host). It was delicious and we all ate like kings and queens, even though we were full after our meal we could not resist the rum cake we had made earlier (make sure you leave room)
Over all one of the best cooking experiences I’ve ever been lucky enough to find and me and my husband do a courses if we can find one on every holiday.
This was so much more than a cookery class it was like being home and we laughed, ate and had the best day, it was so much more than we could have imagined.
If you are in Antigua and don’t visit Nicola and Adams amazing class you have not truly experienced the island life, don’t miss out!!
We will definitely be back, Thank you for welcoming us into your home and giving us a day we will never forget. Keep your fingers crossed we can do your menu justice for my 93 year old dad on Christmas Day xx
